TOPIC: The Anointing (

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Acts 10:38 NKJV

*Message*

The anointing not only empowered Jesus to do those spectacular, miraculous acts and signs and wonders, but also made Him properly positioned unto every good work. So, Jesus healed the sick, raises the dead, walked on water, cast out demons, was transfigured, etc., all by the anointing. Yet, He was enabled to carry out different other good works that glorified God and endeared Him to the people.

He fed the hungry, gave to the poor, show love to the loveless, gave hope to the hopeless, gave purpose to those living without a purpose, gave meaning to the existence of many, trained the backbenchers of society into profound leaders, and so many other good works.

As believers, we have been called unto every good work too. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV). As a matter of fact, these good works are ladders into the heights of destiny actualization!

We are not just being anointed to heal the sick and work miracles alone, but the anointing must also be utilized to do good unto all people and take good care of society. There are a lot of hungry people around us - God wants us to feed them because they are His creatures, and He cares deeply for them (even those yet to be Christians among them).

There are many homeless and helpless people everywhere. The anointing should also be engaged to fetch solutions to be put in place to help these ones and do them good. Prostitution issues, pornography menace, drug addicts, etc., all need our exhibitions of good works. The Anointing helps us solve these problems effectively and efficiently, giving glory to God while our light shines in a dark world.

TOPIC: The Anointing (7)

*Message*

Every believer today should seek to be heavily saturated by the anointing to be effective and efficient in the execution of the ministry of reconciliation given to us by the Lord. Additionally, we are meant to function as ambassadors for Christ in this fallen world. "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God." (II Corinthians 5:20).

Every real ambassador needs resources to properly represent what they stand for in a foreign or external terrain. Hence, the anointing is a cardinal resource meant to power the ambassadorship of the believer in this world. This is important because the world will antagonise the principles of the kingdom (which you are expected to live by and influence the nations to subscribe to).

But the anointing grants you the boldness to represent Christ and His principles irrespective of where you find yourself. This is true for a man like Peter, who used to be timid. Before the anointing saturated him, he cowardly denied Christ three times. Even a little servant girl made him hide his ambassadorship tag!

But when he was submerged by the anointing, the same man stood boldly for the Lord and His kingdom and won thousands of souls.
"But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words...Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit...And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them." (Acts 2:14, 38, 40-41 NKJV).

TOPIC: The Anointing (6)

*Message*

As New Testament believers, we are meant to do the work of ministry in the various areas the Lord will plant our feet, and we are meant to be engrossed in every good works that will establish the shining of our light and offer glory to God.

Ephesians 4:12 says the saints must be equipped for the work of ministry. Then, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 described the focus of our ministry - "Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation."

The anointing equips you for this work of ministry on a grand scale. In Acts 19, Paul asked the disciples at Ephesus if they had received the Holy Spirit when he arrived, and they replied,"No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” (Acts 19:2). This was because those who ministered to them weren't fully equipped with the anointing.

But Paul, an anointed believer, turned the city of Ephesus around, in words and power!

"Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them....This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed." Acts 19:11-12, 17-20

TOPIC: The Anointing (5)

*Message*

Technically, Jesus ministered under the Old Testament since the New Testament emerged after His death and resurrection. Hebrews 9:16-17 says, "For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives."

Hence, Jesus ministered as a Man anointed by the Holy Spirit. He was baptised in the Holy Ghost to start ministry. "When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. [22] And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22

He was born physically on earth by a direct work of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:25), and the Spirit of God was strongly on Him. "And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: [18] “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; [19] To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” [20] Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him." Luke 4:17-20

The pattern is still the same for us. We must stay glued to the Holy Spirit to anoint us to do the work of the Lord and become all He has destined us to be.

*Message*

There have been a lot of religious leadership figures before Jesus came at first for His earthly ministry, and even in His time, there were numerous religious leaders and teachers in the society. However, as soon as He launched into His public ministry, everyone could swiftly identify the uniqueness and awesomeness of His ministry.

Immediately He left the wilderness experience and started declaring the Kingdom everywhere, His ministry exploded despite not having a formal ministry training like the other religious leaders of the time. "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. [24] Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. [25] Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan." Matthew 4:23-25

He started recording great impacts in record time, shaking the spiritual topography of the society independently of the structures in place by the religious leadership and culture.

After a long teaching session with multitudes, it was recorded: "And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, [29] for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes." Matthew 7:28-29

But what was the secret? We have it in Acts 10:38 - "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."

TOPIC: The Anointing (3)

"But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." Judges 6:34 NKJV

*Message*

We have been talking about how the anointing removes title barriers and qualifies the anointed above stereotypes and stratification. Samuel's father was not from the tribe of Levi, but the anointing empowered Samuel to function powerfully in the Priesthood office. Societal stratification would have relegated Deborah to the back space - but the anointing empowered her for rulership.

You may come from a disadvantaged background and you don't have any meaningful leverage to utilise for destiny actualization. The good thing is that the anointing can transform your life if you choose to engage with it. You become a solution provider irrespective of the field you are operating. A troublesome world will always submit to a solution provider.

Many of Jesus' foundation disciples were common folks whose family wasn't relevant in the most important affairs of society - politically, economically, religiously, etc. The big people belong to the families of Herod, Pilate, High Priest Caiaphas, the notable figures in the Sanhedrin, etc.

In fact, when the leaders were interviewing the likes of Peter and John, it was easy to identify that they were "uneducated and untrained men."

However, the anointing upon them empowered them to shake their world, doing great exploits the educated and rich societal and religious leaders of their time couldn't do. They rose above the stereotypes, glorifying the Lord.

"Now as they observed the boldness of Peter and John, and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus." Acts 4:13

For eternity, their works keep speaking for them! By the anointing, arise and shine!

TOPIC: The Anointing (2)

"And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol." Judges 13:25 NKJV

*Message*

The anointing makes ordinary humans do extraordinary things irrespective of whatever limitations characterise their day. Gender stereotypes, societal stereotypes, etc., couldn't stop the anointed from executing great things.

The anointing removes all manner of barriers. It eradicates title barriers and empowers the willing individual who is ready and eager to partner with the Lord for greatness. For instance, it was the anointing that empowered and elevated Samuel into the Priesthood.

1 Samuel 1:1 revealed that Samuel's father, Elkanah, was from the tribe of Ephraim, not from the tribe of Levi, which was the priestly tribe. However, when the anointing came upon him, everyone submitted to his priestly ministry.

Historically, there are places where women are not allowed to lead, either in religious circles or societal leadership positions. However, the anointing always breaks those barriers as everyone submits to a solution provider.

Look at the case of Deborah the Prophetess in the Book of Judges. Their ancient society had some elements of patriarchal tendencies. A patriarchal system is a social structure where men hold primary power and authority, often dominating roles in politics, economics, culture, and family life. Men often hold positions of power and decision-making authority. Traditional roles and expectations are often assigned based on gender. Hence, many men don't place high regard on the opinion of women.

However, the anointing upon Deborah set her apart and on high, that even strong warriors like Barak submitted to her rulership and guidance. Are you unjustly suffering from certain stereotypes? Don't worry! Contend for the anointing!

TOPIC: The Anointing

Judges 11:29 NKJV
Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon.

*Message*

The Scripture is filled with great men and women across the different pages of human history who did great exploits we still celebrate today. Nevertheless, these people are also mortals like we are, but they could work supernatural exploits as they were aided by the anointing.

Of Jephthah:
"Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon." Judges 11:29 NKJV

Of Gideon:
"But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." Judges 6:34 NKJV

Of Samson:
"And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol." Judges 13:25 NKJV

And many more!

One thing is sure, the Lord partnered with these great people by empowering them with the Anointing to execute what He ordained them to do. Without the anointing, they, too, will have been like every other weak man, devoid of the fortitude to fulfill destiny.

It doesn't matter how weak or disadvantaged you think you are right now. The anointing will make the difference if you choose to work with it. God's Anointing empowers you with the fortitude for destiny actualization.

TOPIC: 5 Things To Know As You Start The Month Of November

Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

*Message*

As the year gradually approaches it end, a lot of people have been believing for divine words and directions for their lives as well as other things that concerns them, wondering if they are actually on track with divine timetable. What is God saying? What has God been trying to make you know recently?

Fortunately, I'm going to share God's word with you, and you should take these very seriously:

1. Seeing the new month in peace is an exhibition of God's goodness. Remember that several people couldn't make it this far despite being better than you in various ways - in character, carefulness, richness, etc. Scripture says,Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

So, God wants you to offer quality worship in appreciation. He's not starved of worship - but His love for you makes yours special.

2. God has a purpose for you, and it's not by mistake that you are still around till this moment. Even centuries before now, God already knew you by name when you were still inside His womb, and He knew you would be around even in November 2025. Hence, you are not unimportant. You are very special to Him. The God of the universe knows you by name, and you have a role to play in His eternal plan. It says in Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

This reality should always fuel your self-worth and esteem. Don't let anything contrary to God's word define you!

3. God expects that before the end of November, you will record success as you move forward on the path of destiny. Your destiny is to have an intimate righteous relationship with God through Jesus Christ, being empowered with the Anointing of the Holy Ghost to exercise dominion over the earth, the resources embedded in the earth, the systems that governs the administration of the earth, and then grow in influence to make people subscribe to your kingdom beliefs.

4. Hence, if you are yet to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, God expects that before the end of the month, you will embrace Him and start a relationship with Him. You can do so now, anywhere you are, call upon His Name! And if you already have a relationship with Him, God expects that by the end of the month, you would have gotten closer to Him in intimacy.

5. The Holy Spirit is ever eager to partner with you to become vehemently successful. As you progress in the month, keep engaging Him to discover your natural abilities and gifting, your life assignments, etc. As you engage Him for the empowerment of the Anointing for exploits, also commit yourself to acquiring sophisticated knowledge and skills to deliver your abilities on a sophisticated level.

In conclusion, the year is not over yet. God is set to help you accomplish those great things before the end of the year!

*Message*

We've seen how the faith of Jephthah employed the usage of the spiritual technology of making vows, and as believers in the New Testament, we have been exploring different spiritual tools available to us that helps enhance our destiny actualization. Today, let's look at the tool of the Anointing.

You see, the characters we celebrate today as patriarchs and matriarchs of faith for their supernatural exploits were vehemently aided by the anointing. You don't do supernatural things on the strength of your mortal prowess. Rather, you exhibit supernatural exploits with supernatural resources like the anointing.

Once an individual is anointed, they are empowered to excel in life and have the inherent capability to be very great in life and never experience smallness. The anointing is the divine enablement given by the Holy Ghost. Remember, He gives us our destinies via assignments and responsibilities.

Hence, He who has given you your life purpose also gives the unction to function powerfully within the role He has ordained for you.

The anointing can do for you what you can never do all your lifetime for yourself with all your degrees, opportunities, human connections, etc. The Holy Ghost resides in you, dear believer. Just keep engaging Him and you keep growing in the anointing.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Jephthah (11)

[32] And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

*Message*

Remember, we could see how the faith of Jephthah employed the usage of the spiritual technology of making vows to enhance the fulfilment of his destiny assignment. In the past few days, we have been talking about some other spiritual technologies available for the believer today, emphasizing the tool of intercession.

Now, let's see another tool wrapped in the Name of Jesus. You see, if you can have a right revelation of the Name of Jesus and gain mastery of its usage, you will be vehemently empowered for effectiveness and efficiency in destiny fulfilment.

"Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11

"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. " Acts 3:6,7

Since Jesus is the fullness of the God-head, the Name of Jesus is superior to the individual dimensions of God in the Old Testament. Before the Name of Jesus was given us, the patriarchs of old experienced and walked with different individual dimensions of God, and they named Him as such. 

So, the Name of Jesus is versatile and can be engaged to experience different dimensions of God as needed at that very moment. This means we have more advantages than the patriarchs in the Old Testament. Jesus even said while John the Baptist is greater than the Old Testament patriarchs, the least in the Kingdom is greater than John (and by implication, the Old Testament patriarchs). Why? Because we in the Kingdom have the Name of Jesus, which they don't have.

If you don't exercise your authority in Christ Jesus, you will be frustrated. We are saved by the authority in Christ and are given the Name of Jesus to exercise that authority. If you don't know how to exercise the authority, and you are waiting to grow in stature, you will be in trouble. 

You don't align with your circumstances. You cause your circumstances to align with the word of God. Come to a point where you make things happen in Jesus' Name.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Jephthah (10)

*Message*

We have seen how the faith of Jephthah revealed the wisdom in engaging spiritual technologies for effectiveness and efficiency in destiny assignments. While he employed the spiritual tool of making vows, there are other spiritual technologies available for us, including the tool of intercession.

While a lot of believers today are engrossed with their own issues and challenges, you will be doing yourself greater good if you give great priority to indulging the tool of intercession, where you look away from yourself and offer incense of prayers and worship on behalf of others. Actually, intercession is an instruction as well as an avenue to set yourself up for divine all-round prosperity in the kingdom. 

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.” Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good." Psalms 122:6‭-‬9

There is always a 'Jerusalem' for everyone of us to intercede for. Your 'Jerusalem' can be a person, or a geographical location, or a church, or a tribe, and so on. Every believer has been instructed to always seek to know the 'Jerusalem' they must intercede for per time and engage that ministry unfailingly. 

Now, the other parts of that scripture talked about how those who are faithful to the assignment of their own Jerusalem will be prospered. Great blessedness is attached to the conformity of your Jerusalem to God's perfect Will. In other words, when the things you are interceding for are becoming conformed to God's perfect Will, you also flourish. 

Intercession is one of God's unfailing strategies to ensure His children will keep flourishing at all sides.

*Message*

The faith of Jephthah revealed the wisdom in engaging spiritual technologies for effectiveness and efficiency in destiny assignments. In his case, he employed the spiritual tool of making vows. Incredibly, we need to know about several other spiritual technologies that can be employed for effectiveness and efficiency in destiny.

One of these other spiritual technologies is intercession. I believe you have already come to terms with the fact that as a Christian, you are ordained by the Lord as a Priest and King (Revelation 1:6). Now, you should also know that intercession is a major rod in the hand of the priest, and the office of priesthood (which every believer should occupy) entails investing quality time for the business of intercession. 

There are very good reasons intercession should become part of us. Our Lord Jesus, despite being Who He is, continues engaging the ministry of intercession.

"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us". Romans 8:34

"But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens" Hebrews 7:24-26 

Additionally, the Holy Spirit is an Intercessor. It was written of Him in Romans 8:26 -

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Every believer is required to give great priority to intercession, since we are priests to God. In God's wisdom, intercession was crafted for our advantage. It yields certain divine energies that helps make things work for you good from the spiritual realm (think the principle of sowing and reaping).

*Message*

Now, let us talk about the vow of Jephthah. Of course, in a sense, Jephthah was bound to win the battle even without the vow, because it was stated that: "Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon." Judges 11:29 NKJV

In other words, he already had the Manifest Presence of the Lord and already have all it takes to win the battle.

However, being a spiritual man, he decided to employ the spiritual technology of making vows to enhance his victory. Remember, the essence of technology is to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Thus, there are spiritual technologies that can always be employed to make perfect whatever it is that concerns your destiny - one of which is vows.

Someone referred to vows as "the credit system of the kingdom." Jephthah's error was making a vow based out of zeal, without the application of wisdom. If you have a need to employ the technology of making a vow, you must do so with uttermost wisdom and not out of zeal.

In the book of 1 Samuel, we were first introduced to a barren woman known as Hannah, troubled about her inability to give birth to her own kids. However, she got a stage where she couldn't bear the reproach anymore and decided to employ the instrumentality of vowing:

"And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. [11] Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” I Samuel 1:10-11 NKJV

Heaven moved immediately because the promise brought her into alignment with what God has in mind - preparing to send a son who will be both a priest and prophet unto Him. Hence, making a vow remains a powerful spiritual tool. But it must be engaged with great wisdom and not out of zeal.

*Message*

By faith, Jephthah took the battle against Ammon to the realm of the Spirit, engaging priesthood that gave him an edge over his enemies. It was written:

"And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord, and said, “If You will indeed deliver the people of Ammon into my hands, [31] then it will be that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the people of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.” Judges 11:30-31 NKJV

Priesthood is a blessing, as it presents a platform to shape your destiny from the realm of the Spirit, with your own hands. Fortunately, as a child of God, He has made you both a king and a priest (Revelation 1:6). On the strength of priesthood, you climb up the heights of Zion to excavate all you need to exert your kingship on earth.

If you want to live a truly successful life devoid of defeats, you must exercise dominion. But you need to fetch the tokens you need to exercise dominion from the spirit realm via priesthood. Don't leave your life and destiny to chance. It's very dangerous doing so.

Remember, no one is meant to be disadvantaged. You can always look inwards and exhibit the things God has deposited inside of you, to become great in life.

On October 10th, 2025, I returned to my alma mater, the University of Ibadan, to deliver a lecture at the annual "Black History" event organized by the History Department. This year's theme was "Black Power and the Celebration of African Heritage," and I spoke on "Utilizing History and Your Natural Abilities to Get Ahead in Today's Society."

Here is a modified transcript of my speech:

"It is a well-known fact that one of the reasons we learn history and study the past, is to beautify our lives in the present. Those of the past lived in a different society from ours today, but indeed our lives are interconnected in different ways.

In 2018, I was a 100-level student at the Ibadan School of History, and I vividly remember sitting somewhere in this very hall during the first Black History event I attended. In my set, I was among the few who deliberately chose History when applying for admission—though I still can't fully explain why, as I could have pursued Law with my impressive JAMB score.

Many others were only dumped to the department because they couldn't meet up with the cut off mark for courses like law, political science, etc. They wondered what they could possibly do with a History degree in today's competitive Nigeria, believing their peers in disciplines like Medicine, Nursing, or Engineering had a clear advantage

Now, since we know that history always repeat itself, I'm sure there are people here who have the same thoughts. The response I will give you is that studying History will gift you these three invaluable skills and characteristics, amongst others, that can be utilised to forge ahead in life and be ahead of several others in society:

1. An Analytical Mind
2. An Excellent Creative thinker
3. An Excellent Researcher.

Many young people in our society today lack these three qualities. If you allow history to shape you, you will embody all three—and you will find yourself ahead of the curve.

Let me share a case study from my NYSC experience. Even before registering, I took time to analyze the scheme and discovered it offers a fair platform that anyone can leverage to excel. I learned that distinguishing yourself across the four major pillars of NYSC could earn you a Local Government Chairman's Award, followed by a State Government Award, ultimately making you eligible for Presidential Honours. I researched past award winners, reached out to some of them, and learned from their experiences.

During my service year, I incorporated creativity into every activity on the NYSC platform. On the day of my Passing Out Parade, I was honored with both the Lokoja Local Government Chairman's Award and the Kogi State Government Award, making me eligible for Presidential Honours.

I want to complement all I have said with admonishing you to also utilise your natural abilities, known as talents, to get ahead in life.

A case study to consider, Ladi Kwali. Her story is a powerful example of natural talent and creativity,

Ladi Kwali (1925–1984) was a Nigerian potter from Kwali, Abuja, whose natural artistic gift transformed traditional pottery into a globally celebrated art form. Born into a region where the craft was a common one among women, Ladi discovered early in life that she had a unique ability to mold clay into graceful, balanced, and decorative forms. Without formal education or technical training, she relied on her natural intuition, observation, and creativity to shape clay into vessels that were both functional and artistically beautiful.

Her skill in hand-building pots—especially water jars and cooking vessels—quickly gained her local recognition. What made Ladi stand out was her attention to detail and artistic imagination. She often decorated her pots with intricate geometric and animal designs that reflected local culture and storytelling traditions. These artistic touches gave her work a distinct identity, making her pieces sought after even before she gained national fame.

Her breakthrough came when British potter Michael Cardew, who established the Abuja Pottery Training Centre in the 1950s, discovered her talent. Impressed by her craftsmanship and natural flair for design, he invited her to join the center. There, Ladi learned modern pottery techniques such as wheel-throwing and glazing—skills she combined with her indigenous knowledge. This fusion of traditional African art and Western methods made her work stand out internationally.

Her pieces were later exhibited in London and across Europe, earning her international acclaim. She became Nigeria’s first globally recognized female potter and was featured on the Nigerian ₦20 note—an honor that immortalized her legacy. Despite the challenges women faced in her time, Ladi Kwali’s natural ability, discipline, and willingness to learn helped her excel in a male-dominated and colonially influenced society.

But what can we learn from Ladi Kwali’s journey today?

Lesson 1: Natural Talent Is Just the Beginning

Ladi Kwali was naturally gifted, but she didn’t stop there. She kept learning, improving, and mastering her craft. Whatever your talent — whether it’s art, writing, music, or leadership — don’t rely on it alone. Work hard to refine it. Talent opens the door, but discipline keeps you in the room.

Lesson 2: Value Your Culture

Ladi’s art was deeply rooted in her African heritage. She showed that our traditions and stories are treasures, not obstacles. In a world that often pushes us to copy others, she reminds us to stay original and proud of who we are.

Lesson 3: Hard Work and Humility Bring Success

She didn’t achieve fame overnight. Her rise came through years of dedication and consistency. Her humility also helped her learn from others, including those from different backgrounds. Hard work, patience, and humility never go out of style.

Lesson 4: Women Can Break Barriers

At a time when women had limited opportunities, Ladi Kwali became a national and international icon. She proved that gender is never a barrier to greatness. Her story tells every young girl here: You can achieve anything if you believe in yourself and develop your abilities.

Lesson 5: Creativity Has No Boundaries

Ladi’s creativity transformed simple clay into art that touched the world. She reminds us that greatness can come from the simplest things — if we use our imagination and passion.

In conclusion, Ladi Kwali’s life is not just the story of a potter. It’s the story of what happens when natural talent meets determination, learning, and vision. She used her hands to shape clay — and in doing so, she shaped history. Her legacy encourages each of us to discover, develop, and use our own creative gifts to make a difference in our communities and in the world.

So today, I leave you with this question:
If Ladi Kwali could use her natural abilities to make global impact with just clay and creativity, what can you do with your own gifts?

After the elders of Israel pleaded with Jephthah to come fight against their enemies, he exhibited wisdom by negotiating the terms into his favour:

"So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you take me back home to fight against the people of Ammon, and the Lord delivers them to me, shall I be your head?” [10] And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The Lord will be a witness between us, if we do not do according to your words.” Judges 11:9-10 NKJV

First, by faith, he knew he's going to win the battle against Ammon, and he knew the victory is a platform to enter into his destiny of being a decorated Judge/Leader. Hence, he didn't leave the future to chance but first negotiate with the elders of Israel before taking any action. Since they needed his services so badly at that point, they gave him what he wanted.

The wisdom here is that if he didn't negotiate, after winning the battle, the elders could simply give him some sum of money with a "thank you", and he will go back to the nomadic life of raiding with his men. However, he wisely negotiated for a reward that is consistent with His destiny. He determined his compensation based on what destiny demands.

Dear reader, you don't just take any offer being thrown at you, hence you end up wasting time and energy. Negotiate for rewards that are consistent with your destiny, and don't sell yourself for less.

As Jephthah was with his men, raiding for survival, what he never knew was that he was been watched and observed. Hence, immediately issues came upon the children of Israel, he was looked for and pleaded with to help out:

"It came to pass after a time that the people of Ammon made war against Israel. [5] And so it was, when the people of Ammon made war against Israel, that the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob. [6] Then they said to Jephthah, “Come and be our commander, that we may fight against the people of Ammon.” Judges 11:4-6 NKJV

Really, if you keep working on the path of destiny irrespective of the current unpleasant circumstances around you, if you can persevere, there will definitely be a point of breakthrough where you breakforth and leap into greater heights. The truth is, there will always be peculiar opportunities that only those you have been deeply rooted out of the limelight can take advantage of, because they have sharpened themselves to become solution providers.

When opportunity meets preparedness, success is inevitable. Dear reader, just keep sharpening yourself in destiny, out of the limelight and distractions. One day, your opportunity will come. One day, you will be sought-after with a problem only people like you have the solution to provide.

Jephthah's journey and experience share some similarities with that of David. It was recorded that: "Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob; and worthless men banded together with Jephthah and went out raiding with him." (Judges 11:3 NKJV).

In spite of being relegated and despised by their own family members, these men had faith for a glorious future. They know they will one day lead their people, although the current situation doesn't seem like it. Hence, faith taught them to begin to put into practise the future even in today's unseemly reality. They started exhibiting leadership without waiting for titles and positions.

The result was that they started attracting men who would join forces with them to start shaping the future. You see, even if you have received several prophecies of a glorious future characterised by great influence and dominion, you shouldn't merely fold your arms doing nothing today. At some point, you should start, by faith, exhibiting the type of future you anticipate. By so doing, you attract the necessary resources (in terms of people, experience, character, etc) that helps quickens your becoming in the future.

It should also be noted that at this level, like David, Jephthah also attracted "worthless men." Thanks to God, he didn't despise them, but took time to express leadership that transformed them into formidable soldiers who became his mighty men in the future.

Jephthah came into the world as an innocent baby oblivious of the realities surrounding his birth. He was growing up with his siblings, and I'm sure they did all of the childhood adventures together. Unfortunately, when they became adults, an unpleasant reality set in: "Gilead’s wife bore sons; and when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out, and said to him, “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.” Judges 11:2

This is so heartbreaking in various forms! It is distasteful growing up with a family who will eventually stab your heart and trust. What they did to him was enough to drive him into depression and even become an atheist. But he chose to keep the faith even at such low moments. So, if you are reading this right now and had encountered depressing realities making you question God, let the faith of Jephthah energise your faith, the faith in your heart declaring "God is still ever faithful and good even if I don't understand."

Everyone deserves pleasant inheritance from their father's house. Inheritances provide resources (physical and immaterial tokens) that can be utilised to get an easy start in life and get ahead in the journey of destiny with ease. However, Jephthah was blatantly told by his brothers: “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house," giving him a logical reason: "for you are the son of another woman.”

The good thing is that we have a heavenly Father who has blessed us with far important inheritances beyond physical possessions, made available through faith in Christ Jesus. You may not have anything to leverage on in the physical, but God caempowered you with spiritual realities that will change your life forever. Walk with Him in spirit and in truth.

Let's start with being introduced to the man, Jephthah. It was said: "Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah." Judges 11:1 NKJV

It's pretty awful that the very first time this man was introduced to us, he was publicly displayed as an illegitimate son who was born "by mistake." He came from a distasteful source one can't be proud of. Yet, incredibly, this man chose to take his destiny into his own hand, and he grew into a mighty man of valor.

Apparently, Jephthah has a place in God's plan and purpose even years before he was born. No child is really a mistake. Even those born through shameful sources have been existing as spirits inside of God before they were sent to this material world to serve God's purposes and fulfil His assignments before returning back to Him for eternity.

Faith helped Jephthah detach himself from his imperfect and shameful background, realizing that he shouldn't define himself along the lines of the past he doesn't control. He chose to focus on the present and future, seeing himself according as God sees him - a mighty man of valor who had a special role in God's agenda.

Dear reader, don't let the past which you can't control define you. Focus on today and the future, and become all that God has destined you to be in Christ Jesus.

TOPIC: Don't Submit To A Dangerous Leader (2)

"For I have been told by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’ ” [18] He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’ ” (He was lying to him.) I Kings 13:17-18 NKJV

*Message*

It is true that many people have destroyed their callings, careers, and relationships because they submitted to the wrong voices under the guise of mentorship, spirituality, or ambition. Dear reader, not every leader is sent to guide you—some are sent to test you.

Leadership and mentorship are God’s structures for growth, but when the leader’s voice begins to override what God already told you personally, that’s a red flag.

A few years ago, a young woman in her twenties joined a ministry led by a charismatic pastor who claimed to have prophetic gifts. He convinced her to “sow” huge sums of money and cut off contact with her family, saying they were “enemies of her destiny.” Months later, she realized she was emotionally and financially manipulated. Her calling didn’t grow, her fear did.

Be careful of leaders who isolate you, control your decisions, or twist Scripture for their personal benefit. Godly leadership empowers, while toxic leadership enslaves.

In the business world, some startups and organizations operate with cult-like leadership. There, the CEO’s word is law, and questioning authority is seen as disloyalty. One true case is that of Theranos, led by Elizabeth Holmes. Many intelligent professionals (scientists, investors, and staff) submitted to her vision without verifying the truth. In the end, the company collapsed in scandal, and many careers were ruined. Even in non-spiritual spaces, blind loyalty to a manipulative leader can destroy your reputation and future.

Being “led by the Spirit” sometimes means having the courage to say no when everyone else is saying yes. The young prophet’s error wasn’t in wanting to honour the old prophet, but it was in believing a man’s voice over God’s voice. Be humble enough to learn, but wise enough to discern. True mentors point you back to God, not away from Him.

TOPIC: Don't Submit To A Dangerous Leader

*Message*

In recent times, we drew a parallel between the ministry of the likes of Gideon and Barak, with that of Samson. While Barak had a mentor and acquaintance in Deborah the Prophetess, and Gideon had men around him, Samson had no one - and this affected him badly. If he had a counsellor and adviser, he should have been saved from his sudden downfall.

However, to create a good balance, we have to talk about the necessity of not submitting to a dangerous person or system, since such will still lead you into destruction, too. A clear case study is that of the young prophet and the old prophet recorded in the book of 1 Kings.

God had sent the young man of God on a powerful prophetic assignment to Bethel from Judah, but with an instruction: "‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’

But this older prophet, drawn by his exploits, came to him and lied to this young prophet to come under his roof. Unfortunately, the young prophet believed him and his leadership, and he paid dearly with his life:

"So it was, after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, the prophet whom he had brought back. [24] When he was gone, a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his corpse was thrown on the road, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the corpse." I Kings 13:23-24 NKJV

So, while it is true that you shouldn't do life and destiny alone, please don't join yourself with people who also have the capability to lead you astray and make you cut off your destiny prematurely. Always be led the Spirit.

*Message*

If you want to make exploits in faith, one of the lessons you should learn from Samson is the importance of not doing life in isolation. Samson was so isolated, thinking he needed no one else because his supernatural strength has always proven effective. He had no team, no counsellor, no mentor, no adviser, no prayer partner, etc.

A Judge like Barak had a mentor and acquaintance in Deborah the Prophetess, and their relationship proved so helpful in the maximisation of his destiny. Even the likes of Gideon had an army of loyal men who ensured they contributed to his success. But Samson was a lone ranger.

Dear reader, in spite of your exceptional gifts and advantages, choose not to be a lone ranger in destiny if you want to go far. You may be doing very great exploits alone right now, but don't forget that you are not omnipotent or omniscient. You are neither all powerful nor all-knowing.

You need mentors and teachers to learn from. You need selected persons and systems that can speak over you, help you curtail your excesses, and prompt you to maximize yourself without settling for mediocrity. Even our Lord Jesus Christ surrounded Himself with people of like-minds. Hence, you should not isolate yourself in destiny.

*Message*

Dear reader, don't underestimate the repercussions of sexual immorality, and flee sexual sin as much as possible. Remember, this was part of the major things that ensured the fall of Samson, preventing him from maximising his destiny.

Samson ought to hold on to sexual purity as part of his consecration, but he was swayed by lusts towards the seductive Philistines ladies. The Philistines were the major enemies but they have agencies meant to lure God's men off track and into compromise. Samson ought to focus on his assignments and get a wife from his own people to satisfy his sexual craving.

The kingdom of darkness has seducing agencies meant to lure you according to your appetite into what is destructive to your soul and destiny. The intent of the enemy towards you remain the same - "to steal, kill and destroy." (John 10:10).

If you are still battling sexual struggles, it is wise to pause and seek help from appropriate quarters. People who ignore these weaknesses make themselves easy preys for eventual disgrace. Your weaknesses won't get you disgraced, in Jesus Name. Amen.

*Message*

The bible is so beautiful. Not only did it contain the exploits of the men and women of faith used mightily by God in different parts of human history, but it also recorded the flaws and errors of some of them, so we can learn from their mistakes and avoid making same. It was written:
"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4 NKJV

Coming to the faith of Samson, this Judge made some errors, which we should take time to learn from and avoid repeating same. It doesn't matter how strong you are in faith, Scripture warns: "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." (I Corinthians 10:12 NKJV).

One of his major areas of errors revolves around taking lightly his Nazirite consecrations. He kept touching unclean things, committing sexual immorality, and he felt on top of the world because everything seemed to be going well. Alas, he never knew his immoral lifestyle was slowly leading him to his destruction.

Dear reader, your strong faith will fetch you tokens that will act as measures of empowerment to reign in life, in different aspects of human endeavour. When you are enthroned, don't start indulging in unclean activities that defiled your consecrations as a Christian.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Samson (6)

*Message*

Faith is strong, but you are an imperfect vessel. Hence, faith will lead you to the place of retreat, alone with God, when your inner energy is getting drained. Being alone with God in fellowship is a strategy of refilling so you will never run out of the power you need to keep going in destiny.

For Samson, for a long time, he kept dispensing virtue without putting in place a mechanism for refilling. And at some point, it became so burdensome and he started losing it (it was even worse because he was violating his Nazirite consecrations occasionally).

In Judges 15:7-8 we see this: "Samson said to them, “Since you would do a thing like this, I will surely take revenge on you, and after that I will cease.” [8] So he attacked them hip and thigh with a great slaughter; then he went down and dwelt in the cleft of the rock of Etam."

Faith led him to a place of separation, for retreat, alone in the cleft of the rock of Etam. There, he was recharged in various ways. In the next few verses after this, we see the first recorded time he prayed publicly to God (he was used to relying on his strength). He got fresh wisdom and strategies, learning to coordinate his strength in a productive manner that eventually made Israel embrace him as a Judge indeed:

"And he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines." Judges 15:20

Have you been dispensing a lot in recent times? Faith should lead you to retreat, separating yourself to be alone with God to get recharged again!

TOPIC: The Faith Of Samson (5)

*Message*

Dear reader, take note of this situation:

"When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands. [15] He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. [16] Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!” Judges 15:14-16 NKJV

Before this time, the Philistines had harassed Israel to provide Samson or face the consequences. Out of fear, the men of Israel approached Samson to get him arrested. But he, since he won't want to harm his own people, told them to only bound him with ropes and offer him to the Philistines.

His people dropped him at Lehi, still bound, and the enemies charged at him, thinking he was incapacitated. Nevertheless, Samson, a man of faith, knew he won't remain in a state of hopelessness and helplessness. Imagine a man bound with two new ropes and carried by several men to be offered to his enemies who have sworn to kill him. He seems hopeless and helplessly.

However, Samson knew the Spirit of the Lord and anointing upon him would always come through for him - and it did. When the Philistines thought they got him, something dramatic happened - "the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands."

Tough times could come your way, too. But as far as the Lord is with you, as you maintained your faith resolve, all things will only work together for your good.
