TOPIC: The Faith Of Samson (5)

Hebrews 11:32 NKJV
[32] And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

*Message*

Dear reader, take note of this situation:

"When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands. [15] He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. [16] Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!” Judges 15:14-16 NKJV

Before this time, the Philistines had harassed Israel to provide Samson or face the consequences. Out of fear, the men of Israel approached Samson to get him arrested. But he, since he won't want to harm his own people, told them to only bound him with ropes and offer him to the Philistines.

His people dropped him at Lehi, still bound, and the enemies charged at him, thinking he was incapacitated. Nevertheless, Samson, a man of faith, knew he won't remain in a state of hopelessness and helplessness. Imagine a man bound with two new ropes and carried by several men to be offered to his enemies who have sworn to kill him. He seems hopeless and helplessly.

However, Samson knew the Spirit of the Lord and anointing upon him would always come through for him - and it did. When the Philistines thought they got him, something dramatic happened - "the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands."

Tough times could come your way, too. But as far as the Lord is with you, as you maintained your faith resolve, all things will only work together for your good.

*Message*

After Samson made the grave error of revealing his consecration secrets to his enemies, they made a mess of him, pluck out his two eyes, cutting short his assignment. He lost his strength, his weapon for dominion, and became as one of the weak men around.

However, faith is so solid. Even as he was surrounded by darkness amid mockery from the Philistines, he still had faith in God, and he kept strengthening his faith daily. His faith informed him that all is not over yet, and his strength can still come back again! His faith ensured his hair would grow again!

"Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” [29] And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. [30] Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life." Judges 16:28-30 NKJV

Dear reader, you may have gone astray in one way or another, but God is not giving up on you. Faith is still in your heart, eager to tutor you on what to do to regain that which was lost. Your hair will grow again! The Lord is still with you!

TOPIC: The Faith Of Samson (2)

*Message*

When the Angel of the Lord encountered the parents of Samson, the mother was informed of the things she must not do when pregnant. "Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. [5] For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” Judges 13:4-5

And since the woman was faithful to this, God also proved faithful to His words. "So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. [25] And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. Judges 13:24-25

God rewarded their obedience and faithfulness to the consecration ordained for the boy. That is how it works. Faith must be expressed on the platform of obedience and faithfulness to the paths drawn for us by the Lord. Faith should lead you to search out God's Will for your life (including the personalised consecrations He had for you), and faith should also energise you to cling to obedience.

A lot of people today are claiming to be experts of faith but are horrible with obeying God's counsels and commands. But when you check the roll of the greats in faith, you discover obedience is very cardinal. When you are sold out to obeying God, in spite of your imperfections, God will honour and bless this great act of faith with blessings that will outlast you.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Samson

*Message*

Samson might have not been able to maximize his full potential as divinely orchestrated, but he still made it to the league of the greats in faith. However, while there is a lot to say about his exploits, we need to first look towards the impressive acts of his parents who laid a good foundation he built upon, even before he was born.

Before the birth of Samson, the Angel of the Lord visited his parents and told them about the coming of their son. Then, his dad, Manoah, asked a very pertinent and wise question:

"Manoah said, “Now let Your words come to pass! What will be the boy’s rule of life, and his work?” Judges 13:12

He helped his future son download his heavenly manual so he won't have to struggle when it had to do with purpose and destiny. Samson's parents helped obtain his consecration structure, meant to always service his prowess and see to his continuous empowerment.

So, the faith of Samson was greatly influenced by the faith of his parents, who expressed faith before the young lad was born. The believed the word of the Lord when He told them He is blessing them with a son who will deliver His people, and they allow faith lead them to get the necessary information written in the boy's heavenly volumes of books.

Parents today must learn from the parents of Samson. Your faith as a parent will greatly influence that of your children.

Any great investment into the lives of the next generation is worthwhile

On Wednesday 8th of October, 2025, the social enterprise I founded, Talent To Prosperity Network, executed a community development outreach and seminar at Learnfast Comprehensive Academy, Ojo, Lagos, the secondary school I graduated from back in 2011.

When the students were made aware that I graduated from the school in 2011, they were so thrilled because several of them were not even born then (lol).

I utilised the outreach to educate, motivate, and encouraged the young chaps. They were not only taught to enhance their creative skills via creative reading, but were also admonished to be serious with their lives and shun dangerous vices that could hinder them from achieving greatness, so they too could come back after some years to motivate the next generation.

Some of my teachers still working in the school couldn't stop flaunting me in front of the students with words like "He's one of the most intelligent in his set", "He's a bona-fide product of this school", etc.

Before leaving, I gave out free novels.

I'm forever grateful to God for grace and empowerment.

TOPIC: Faith Over Fear: Your Giants Aren’t As Strong As They Look (2)

"But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was left. And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, I will show you the man whom you seek.” And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple. Judges 4:16, 22 NKJV

*Message*

Your challenges, whether they are financial struggles, addictions, relationship failures, or health crises, are like Sisera’s army. They look fierce, well-equipped, and unbeatable. But God is reminding you today that they only seem strong because fear magnifies them.

You should be aware of the story of Malala Yousafzai. She was the Pakistani girl who defied the Taliban’s ban on girls’ education. She faced one of the world’s most feared terrorist groups. They had weapons, and she only had a voice. Fear tried to silence her, but faith gave her words wings. She survived an assassination attempt, continued speaking boldly, and today, she’s a global advocate for education and a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Fearful forces only look unbeatable until faith confronts them.

Dear reader, when you act on faith, when you pray, obey God’s word, and take steps forward despite fear, you’ll find that the enemies you once dreaded will fall flat before you.

If you can allow faith to consume your fear, you’ll soon discover that your obstacles are not nearly as powerful as they pretend to be. Israel’s real enemy wasn’t Sisera’s chariots—it was fear. Fear magnified the power of the enemy and paralyzed faith. Yet the moment Israel aligned with God’s Word and acted in faith, everything changed. What seemed invincible fell before a people who dared to believe.

In today's society, we can look at Jack Ma’s story as one of David vs. Goliath in Modern Business. When Jack Ma started Alibaba, he faced powerful Western e-commerce giants like eBay and Amazon. They had money, global reach, and influence. Yet he built his company from his small apartment in China, driven by vision and persistence—not resources. He said, “If you don’t give up, you still have a chance.”

That’s what faith looks like in business today. You have to believe when the odds are stacked against you.

There are some persons whose fear revolves around personal struggles. But then, there are worthy examples you can learn from. Let's look at the man known as Nick Vujicic. He was born without arms and legs. For years, fear and self-pity convinced him that his life was useless. But when he turned his heart to God and began to speak faith instead of fear, he became one of the most inspiring Christian speakers on earth—impacting millions.

His “chariot of iron” was disability. But faith made him unstoppable.

TOPIC: They Want You Small - But Refuse To Remain Small (2)

"And they reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor. [13] So Sisera gathered together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Hagoyim to the River Kishon." Judges 4:12-13

*Message*

There are countless entrepreneurs who remain “invisible” while working on ideas. But once they launch a disruptive product, they suddenly face lawsuits, regulatory scrutiny, and smear campaigns. We can think of Facebook challenging traditional media or Elon Musk’s Tesla shaking up the oil and auto industries. The lesson here is that great impact attracts great opposition.

Let's also consider a man like Martin Luther King Jr. In the early days of his pastoral ministry, he was just another preacher. But when he rose to lead the Civil Rights Movement, the monitoring and opposition began. FBI surveillance, threats, and attempts to discredit him all intensified as his influence grew. The truth is, systems of injustice rarely react until you challenge them with purpose.

Dear reader, I want you to know that opposition is a sign of movement. If you feel resistance now more than before, it may mean you’re stepping into your God-given assignment. So, be spiritually and strategically equipped. Barak didn’t go to Mount Tabor alone—he went with God’s instruction and Deborah’s support.

Operate with wisdom. Don’t be loud prematurely. Build in secret, pray in secret, and move strategically until it’s time to reveal. Just as God gave Barak the upper hand despite Sisera’s iron chariots, God equips you to overcome any resistance to your destiny

TOPIC: They Want You Small - But Refuse To Remain Small

*Message*

When you’re stuck in mediocrity, distractions, or sin, the “opposition” seems quiet. But the moment you begin to align with your calling, to live holy, to pursue purpose, to launch that business or ministry God told you to start—monitoring spirits, adversarial systems, and jealous people begin to take notice.

They don’t mind your smallness, but your rising provokes them. This is everywhere, irrespective of whatever tribe or nationality you emerge from.

Joseph’s brothers didn’t mind him as long as he was just a boy in Canaan (Genesis 37). But once his dreams started revealing his destiny (symbols of leadership and greatness), jealousy arose. They sold him into slavery thinking they could abort the dream. Yet God used it to position Joseph for the palace.

Some attacks only begin when your potential starts showing. It’s not about you personally—it’s about the destiny you carry. You are not small nor destined to be small. Your God is Big and He wants to take you by the hand into greatness too.

So, don't give in to pressure by remaining stuck just where they want you to be. Rather, be propelled to stay glued to the Lord and partner with the Holy Spirit for empowerment that will make you keep getting bigger and immune to contrary efforts to keep you small.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Barak (9)

*Message*

After the death of Sisera, there is something many of don't really give attention to:

"So on that day God subdued Jabin king of Canaan in the presence of the children of Israel. [24] And the hand of the children of Israel grew stronger and stronger against Jabin king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan." Judges 4:23-24

Jabin, the king, didn't automatically leave the scene following the defeat of his army and death of Sisera, his commander. The victory only positioned the children of Israel with an advantage over Jabin. Jabin didn't let go just like that. He still contended with Israel until his death.

Jabin is like the devil. Sisera and his nine hundred chariots of iron are like his agents. The devil sends his agents to you to oppress and keep you in bondage. But once you partner with God through faith in Jesus Christ, light comes, and the result is that you start seeing things with God's eyes. You will see that these agents (whatever attack the devil throws at you) are not really strong as they appear, and this start your victory process.

But after overcoming those agents, don't forget that the devil is still around. Your victory had given you the divine experience to know how to always win whatsoever it is the devil will throw your way. And till Jesus comes, the devil will keep trying to get at you- but you will keep overcoming the enemy in Christ Jesus.

Dear reader, if you can allow faith to consume your fear, you will discover that your obstacles are not really as strong as they seem to be. See this:

[16] But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was left.
[22] And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, I will show you the man whom you seek.” And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple. Judges 4:16, 22 NKJV

Just a few days ago, Sisera and Jabin were vehemently feared in Israel. They have, in their possession, nine hundred chariots of iron, while Israel had inferior weapons. It's just like a developed country today with nuclear weapons intimidating a third-world country with crude ammunitions. The latter stands no chance against the former!

However, in the midst of it all, we discovered that the enemies were not as strong as they portrayed themselves to be. They have only captivated the children of Israel with fear! Fear keeps blocking acts of faith. But whenever God's children align with God's Will and act on God's word by faith, faith swallows fear and our obstacles too.

Your enemies are not as strong as they want you to believe. Take steps of faith today and put them to flight!

I explored some of the works engaged.

I also noted that:

"One of the immediate pleasant things that happened was how NYSC became a platform that aided me in discovering my talent and passion for Community Development activities. I believe certain potential in us as humans requires certain platforms/environments for discovery."

So, I've been recently sharing about my passion for community development activities and advocacy, which started during my NYSC days, and I also want to share how I was honored with the Lokoja Local Government Award and Kogi State Government Award for my impactful work (which made me eligible to win the National Presidential Award).

Now, one of the things I got to love and admire about the NYSC system is that it gives everyone an equal platform to exhibit their potential and rewards those who distinguish themselves, without you needing to have strong connections. For me, when I was deployed to Kogi State, I had no connections at all. But right from the 21-day orientation camp period, I was freely given a platform to exhibit my abilities and rewarded accordingly.

And this is one of the reasons I love my alma mater—the University of Ibadan. Unlike several other Nigerian universities where you need to know who-is-who to be given admission for certain "lucrative" courses, the University of Ibadan has a system where the son of a nobody can easily be admitted to study well sought-after professional courses without paying a dime in bribes, as long as he is extremely intelligent and meets the requirements.

So, one of the reasons why I now hold the NYSC close to my heart is because it proved to me that it's a system that rewards those deserving of applause after distinguishing themselves during their service year. It's not a scheme that only unfairly gives these rewards to those from wealthy or influential backgrounds in the country. Indeed, NYSC is an empowerment initiative that can be utilized by average Nigerians from average backgrounds to quickly climb the ladder to the top with great ease.

It's therefore a thing of great joy when, during my stream's Passing Out Parade, I was called out and distinguished with the Lokoja Local Government Award and Kogi State Government Award for my impressive work in the state, becoming eligible to win the National Presidential Award too.

God is ever good.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Barak (7)

*Message*

Barak telling Deborah that "I won't go to this battle if you don't go with me" is always looked upon as an exhibition of fear. However, let's look at it from another perspective. Deborah is a priestesses, God's representative who carries God's Spirit and Presence.

Barak, by faith, is aware that winning Sisera must be by divine intervention, and for that to be possible, God's Presence must follow him to the battlefield. So, asking Deborah to come with him to the battlefield is simply inviting God's Presence to go with him for divine intervention.

This should remind us of Moses. "Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. [16] For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” Exodus 33:15-16 NKJV

In Judges chapter four and verse nine, Deborah told Barak she would go with him (more like saying, "God's Presence will go with you to the battlefield). However, since God will be the One to do the fighting, He will take the glory for the victory, and for you Barak, "...there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.”

Barak was not after glory, and he left the battle in God's hand. Indeed, the Lord did the fighting on behalf of the Israelites:

"And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot." (Judges 4:15 NKJV).

Dear reader, on the path of destiny fulfilment, make sure you walk with God's Manifest Presence at all times, and victory is always sure.

TOPIC: The Faith Of Barak (6)

Hebrews 11:32 NKJV
[32] And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

*Message*

Faith doesn’t translate to automatic perfection, as we grow in faith. Faith, though solid, is stretchable - and we are expected to keep stretching our faith till we come into the perfection ordained by God for us in Christ Jesus.

Barak started his faith journey as an imperfect man. After the prophetess, Deborah informed him of his assignment to fetch deliverance for Israel, he told her "I won't go if you don't go with me." But it came with a price, “I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh." (Judges 4:9).

I love how Deborah didn't merely say "I will go with you" and then didn't keep to her words. Rather, she arose and went with Barak to Kedesh! Her presence proved so helpful to Barak because when news got to Sisera and he mobilised his army, it could have sent waves of fear towards Barak, meant to kill his faith. But Deborah quickly steps in to reignite his faith:

"Then Deborah said to Barak, “Up! For this is the day in which the Lord has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the Lord gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him." Judges 4:14 NKJV

That was the boost he needed! The boost of faith! In the heat of the battle, such faith boosters are very helpful!

Dear reader, it doesn't matter what level you are currently on the faith lane. Wisdom demands you have a system of faith boosting whenever the battle of life gets so tough around you and is making attempts to squeeze life out of your faith.

*Message*

Without wasting much time, Barak, by faith, assemble men to go with him to the battle for freedom. Like it was in the case of Gideon, several people (destiny helpers) were already awaiting his rising. However, some other categories of enemies were also awaiting the same:

"And they reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor. [13] So Sisera gathered together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Hagoyim to the River Kishon." Judges 4:12-13

These folks who reported to Sisera were idle when Barak was wasting away doing what is not God's perfect Will for him. However, as soon as he decided to rise up to his God-given assignment and purpose, these reporters became active, and they informed Sisera of what Barak was doing.

Dear reader, there are certain monitoring enemies around you (both demonic spirits and evil mischievous humans) who don't mind you being small but become active and troubled as soon as you begin to rise. Once they sensed and observed that you've started aligning with God's purpose for your life, they take steps to report you in high places for you to be stopped.

Hence, you must be equipped for warfare if you want to win and fulfil God's plan for your life. If you want to become all that God has destined you to be, you need to be wise and operate with great wisdom.

There is something impressive I want to draw your attention to. It took humility on the part of Barak to submit to Deborah's counsel and guidance. This is so because their ancient society had some elements of patriarchal tendencies.

A patriarchal system is a social structure where men hold primary power and authority, often dominating roles in politics, economics, culture, and family life. Men often hold positions of power and decision-making authority. In fact, traditional roles and expectations are often assigned based on gender. Hence, many men don't place high regard on the opinion of women.

Nevertheless, a warrior like Barak decided to humble himself to heed the call of Deborah. And as if that was not enough, he asked Deborah to go with him to the battlefield. "And Barak said to her, “If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go!” (Judges 4:8 NKJV).

Dear reader, humility is very much needed on the path to destiny fulfilment. Your destiny helpers may not look at it, and it takes humility to identify them and allow them play the role God has ordained them to play.

The Faith Of Barak is also one that teaches us to always wear the garment of humility to become all God has destined us to be.

*Message*

Barak was assigned by heaven to lead the army that will deliver Israel from the oppression of the enemy in his time. They were oppressed by Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor, as well as the commander of his army, Sisera, who dwelt in Harosheth Hagoyim.

Barak was scared of such huge assignment due to the strength of their enemies. We were told that "Jabin had nine hundred chariots of iron, and for twenty years he had harshly oppressed the children of Israel." (Judges 4:3 NKJV).

Hence, Jabin ignored his life purpose to face other things. It was while being occupied with other things that Deborah sent for him, and her message brought him back on track. Deborah helped redirect his steps with her words.

Dear reader, is the path you are currently walking God's perfect Will for you? Is it God's best for you? The good thing is, God is sending His words to you too to help redirect your steps and bring you back on track.

Barak was humble enough to allow Deborah's words bring him back on track. If he had refused to turn back to his life assignment, he wouldn't have made it into the league of the greats in the bible being celebrated for all of eternity.

You must also be humble enough to embrace God's word and turn your attention into that which He wants for you. Don't settle for less (you settle for less when you occupy yourself with what isn't consistent with His perfect Will for you). It's all for your own good!

Barak was helped into motion by Deborah the prophetess. She told him, “Has not the Lord God of Israel commanded, ‘Go and deploy troops at Mount Tabor; take with you ten thousand men of the sons of Naphtali and of the sons of Zebulun". Judges 4:6

Barak was probably aware of his ordination to serve this purpose before now. But he was yet to grow the fortitude of carrying out the assignment. But Deborah had to step in to spur him out of his inactive state.

Dear reader, it's helpful having certain people around who can always encourage us to gather courage for great tasks we think are far beyond our reach and abilities. There's a lot of potential in you. There's a whole lot you can do and achieve. But there are times when certain situations seems so tough and certain assignments seem to be way above you. In those instances, you need persons like Deborah around you who will give you the boost you need to give it a try.

As Christians today, we must have and be part of a spiritual community where fellow like minded brethren can always be used by the Lord to give you necessary encouragement you need at different strategic stages of your life.

*Message*

Some of the judges of ancient Israel, like Samson and Gideon, had spectacular encounters with the Lord that equipped them with spectacular abilities to carry out their assignments. For some of them, we were introduced to them from childhood, and several chapters were devoted to their history and exploits.

However, Barak just came up without any of these spectacular things. Here is how the Bible first introduced him to us:

"Then she sent and called for Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali, and said to him, “Has not the Lord God of Israel commanded, ‘Go and deploy troops at Mount Tabor; take with you ten thousand men of the sons of Naphtali and of the sons of Zebulun; [7] and against you I will deploy Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude at the River Kishon; and I will deliver him into your hand’?” Judges 4:6-7 NKJV

Unlike Samson, whose parents had an encounter with the Lord heralding his birth, nothing of such was recorded about Barak. Unlike Gideon, who was physically commissioned by heaven, we didn't see anything close to that with Barak. But Barak still decided to align with God's assignment, and he became part of the league of the greats via faith.

Dear reader, there might be nothing spectacular and outstanding about you and your life right now. But that's not a problem. That doesn't mean God doesn't have it in mind to use you for spectacular and outstanding exploits. What you need to do is align to God's purpose by faith, and see what He will make out of your life.

So, when you hear others sharing testimonies of angelic visitations and you are wondering if there's something wrong with you (or if God is going to use you at all), I want you to consider the faith of Barak! No spectacular visitations like what was experienced in the cases of Samson and Gideon, but God still used him for great exploits.

*Message*

When Bishop Oyedepo received God’s instruction to establish a world-class university, the resources were not fully there. Still, he acted in faith, acquiring land and laying the foundation. Today, Covenant University is one of the leading institutions in Africa. The initial trumpet blast of obedience opened the way for God to gather men, resources, and influence.

Malala Yousafzai has become a big name in global affairs, but she didn't start being big. As a young girl in Pakistan, Malala began speaking publicly about girls’ right to education—even when it was dangerous. She started with small blog posts under a pseudonym, sharing her experiences. That was her trumpet. Today, she is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and her voice has rallied global leaders, NGOs, and nations to support education for girls.

Dear reader, for emphasis sake, like Gideon, don’t wait until everything is perfect. Start with the trumpet in your hand. That trumpet could be your phone camera to record a short message, your pen to write an article or a book, your voice to start a small prayer meeting, your idea to start a business, ministry, or social project, etc.

Indeed, the Abiezrites will not gather until you blow the trumpet. Resources, people, and opportunities are waiting on your first step of faith. Don’t sit back after heaven has already backed you. Start small, but start now. Blow your trumpet today, and let God gather the army behind you.

*Message*

In today’s world, many people delay even after receiving clear direction, inspiration, or empowerment. Procrastination robs them of destiny. The Spirit of God may already be stirring your heart, but if you keep postponing, you’ll never gather the Abiezrites behind you. Heaven moves when you move.

When Pastor E A Adeboye received the mandate that “RCCG must be in every nation of the world”, he didn’t wait until the church had endless resources. He acted in faith—sending missionaries with little support, sometimes just a Bible and faith. Today, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has branches in over 190 nations.

The trumpet was blown, and God brought the people to gather behind the vision.

If you frequent YouTube today, chances are that you know MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), one of the most successful YouTubers in the world. Really, he didn’t begin with million-dollar giveaways or world-breaking videos. He started with simple, even “boring” videos like counting numbers on camera. But that was his trumpet. He stayed consistent, and God (with strategy) brought him influence and resources.

Many digital creators today miss their moment because they want to start big, not realizing it’s the first faithful trumpet blast that gathers momentum.

Like Gideon, you don’t need to storm the battlefield immediately. Just blow the trumpet in faith—start with the small, available step. Write the first blog. Post that first video. Launch that prayer group. Register that business name. Preach that first sermon. Publish that first book draft.

Don’t wait for the stage to be perfect before stepping into your assignment. Once the Spirit has given you the greenlight, act! The Abiezrites will not gather behind you until you blow the trumpet.

Dear reader, your “trumpet” may be small, but it’s the signal for heaven to rally resources and people around your destiny. Blow it today!

TOPIC: Expect Envys And Jealousies After Winning

"Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply." (Judges 8:1 NKJV).

*Message*

Gideon risked his life to fetch deliverance for the children of Israel. You would have thought he could now relax and probably go on a vacation immediately after the victory. But, no, the victory brought more issues (unnecessary issues fueled by envy and jealousy).

"Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply." (Judges 8:1 NKJV).

These were men cowardly hiding behind the shadows before now!

Dear reader, you don't have to go with the tides of annoyance by wrapping up yourself with their issues. Rather than allowing such persons to spoil your victory mood, simply deal with them in wisdom and retain your joy. That was what Gideon did:

"So he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? [3] God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger toward him subsided when he said that."

As new testament believers, it is easier for us when we "do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests..." Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

When you obtain victory in your God-given assignments without selfish ambition or vain conceit (an inflated or exaggerated sense of one's own importance, abilities, or achievements), you are immune from the attacks of envious people.

After Gideon reached the center of his assignment, it was written:

"Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.” (Judges 7:7 NKJV)

Faith led Gideon to believe God’s word that he can win the great army of his enemies with just 300 men. God led Gideon to fulfill his assignment with unconventional strategies.

"So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outpost of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just as they had posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers that were in their hands. [20] Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they cried, “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!” [21] And every man stood in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled. [22] When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath." Dear reader, you may already have your own polished strategy for running your race and engaging your vision, but faith must inform you to be flexible enough to allow God's Intelligence to disrupt your strategies with unconventional strategies. Heaven's strategies are tagged "unconventional" many times because God's ways are higher than ours. But when we follow by faith, it makes destiny fulfilment much more effective and efficient.

Trust God's unconventional strategies and wisdom.

By faith, Gideon chose to align with heaven's agenda for the emancipation of his people. By faith, he rose in boldness following his encounter with the Lord, blowing the trumpet that attracted the first set of people who have been awaiting his rising. By faith, he also reached out to other sets of people that must be in his ship to fulfil the assignment - and they agreed to join forces with him.

However, when it was time for real business, God told Gideon:

"And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ [3] Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained." (Judges 7:2-3 NKJV).

Imagine that! Unknown to Gideon, there are lots of people who only came forward for whatever motives that won't be helpful for the actualization of his assignment. In fact, after further screenings, another whopping 9,700 men were disqualified!

Dear reader, as you begin to rise in destiny, different people would crave joining your ship. However, you must realise that not everyone is meant to do life and destiny with you. So, be eager to allow God eradicate this category of people as soon as possible. Also, don't be sorrowful when certain "helpers" started leaving your life after a certain stage - it's all part of the plan!

As soon as Gideon chose to take the necessary first steps towards the fulfilment of his God-given assignment, the people and resources he needs start pulling themselves to him. However, that was on the one hand. On the other hand, there were other sets of "destiny helpers" he had to reach out to:

"And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, who also gathered behind him. He also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them." (Judges 6:35 NKJV).

In the previous verse, the Abiezrites automatically gathered behind him. But the Abiezrites were not the only set of people who had what it takes to help him with his assignment. So, what he did was to recognize these other set of people, and he simply reached out to them. The bible says, he reached out to "Manasseh", and they "also gathered behind him". Then, "he also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them"

You are not the first person to get a big vision and assignments from the Lord. A lot of people had had bigger ones across the pages of human history, but some were unable to fulfil their assignments because they couldn't get the required help from the necessary people. Hence, you must engage faith to open your eyes to see those in the category of "Manasseh, Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali."

Faith must equip you with the wisdom of how to sell your vision to these ones in such a way that they will be keen on risking it all to render the necessary assistance you need for your destiny actualization.

When we were first introduced to Gideon, he was simply a burdened man doing his business in the shadows. Although he had a burden to do something for the emancipation of his people, he was clueless on how to go about it. He knew he would need people of like minds to carry out the assignment, but he doesn't think there remain anyone like that again in the country (years of oppression seem to have made all his countrymen cowards and weak).

However, as soon as he got the boldness to rise up and blow the trumpet, it was recorded that "the Abiezrites gathered behind him."

"the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." (Judges 6:34 NKJV).

So, unknown to him, the Abiezrites have been waiting for the first bold man that will rise up to blow the trumpet! The Abiezrites have been there all along. The fearful version of Gideon (or anyone else) would not have attracted them!

Dear reader, your "Abiezrites" (those that have what it takes to support your assignments) are all around you waiting for you to man up to blow the trumpet (take the first necessary steps). You might not recognise this set of people yet, but they are all around you, and they will be drawn to you when the version of you that meant business springs up.

Many times, your "destiny helpers" are also waiting for your emerging, your first steps towards your manifestation, before joining your boat, because they also need you in one way or another. The resources you need to sponsor your assignments are all around you! Attract them by taking the first necessary steps.

Ask the Lord to open your eyes to the first necessary steps that should be taken towards the fulfilment of the huge visons and tasks He has given you!

Faith helps shift you from being myopic into a state of having broader views and insights. This worked for Gideon also. After Gideon was commissioned into his assignment, one of his driving forces into urgency was how he discovered he could actually be replaced if he didn't act fast. In other words, if he had delayed, God could have given someone else the assignment because its execution is time-based and urgent!

Dear reader, if God has commissioned you to do something and you decided to keep dragging your feet, you can be rest assured that God can never be stranded as there are several other potential replacements around. What heaven simply do is to extend the invitation to someone else willing to run God's errands with immediate effect!

Just to let you know. When heaven asked you to carry out a task, there are possibilities several others have been contacted first before you, but because they keep procrastinating (since they failed to allow faith to imbibe a sense of urgency in them and to help them see the possibility of a replacement), they were eventually replaced with you. I hope you won't allow heaven to replace you too.

[35] And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, who also gathered behind him. He also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
