QuinModah: Here's an advise to y'all start your business while working for someone, unfortunately the labor law of Nigeria is non-existent. Start no matter how small, Rome was not built in a day.
Go to Sango Ota, Nassarawa & Ondo and see the modern day slave trade and the government of these states boast of being the industrial state of Nigeria.
Made me remember when I was an undergraduate and during breaks would go to Mr chef in sango otta to work 7 to 7 job for 650naira... Indians, Lebanese, Chinese and some Nigerian have turned Nigerians to semi machine, you need to see these factory workers and you would weep.
Some of the chemicals used are hazardous, no protective gears, some factory workers work with bare foot and hands, a few with slip as a result of the slippery floor and break a leg, an arm or even have internal bleeding as a result of the fall. It's disheartening to see many at them at gate of these factories as early as 7:00am hoping to be picked for a job so as to fend for their family.
Daily pay is less than a $1 and any mistake or latenesses you will never get your full pay, at the end of the day most factory workers resort to stealing from their employers.
I recall few years ago, a member of armed force begging a Chinese man that once he opens his factory he would appreciate if he could talk to his superior to allow him work with the man as an escort.
The truth is, these Chinese, indians and Lebanese understand our system and how corrupt our system is. Explain to me how an Indian man would slap a police officer |

Crime › Accident In Ago Palace Today by intrepidjay1(op): 5:36pm On Oct 03, 2023 |
Are you aware of the tragedy that happened in Ago Palaceway today?
Again, the Nigeria Police Force and Road Safety.
They chased a man from Cele Express, dragging control of his vehicle with him, until they entered Ago.
He tried entering Bayo Oyewale street. That's when and where it happened. Both driver and chasers lost control of the speeding, swerving vehicle.
Drove smack into people right there at the bus stop.
Mother and two kids. A pregnant lady. A Keke driver.
All dead in a flash. You need to see the havoc. You need to see how these murderers, reinforced by the nearby police station, began shooting sporadically.
For once, I wished Ago wasn't so sleepy and peaceful. I wished this was a more volatile and reactive area.
Just like that. 6 humans gone.
A neighbour to the deceased lady and kids said, 'How will I call this man at work and tell him his family has been wiped out?'
May their souls rest in peace. 💔 |

greatbrian: While in the uni before I switched career, I called my mum I had hostel accommodation issue as per where I was is a den to criminals and smokers. Mum asked how much for 2 per room since I was in a private. I told her 150 instead of 80. She worked the money to me. Well I changed hostel for 80 and bought some blackberry bold 3 with the remaining and spent few coin on classic ties and pant trousers since that's what we wear.
The weird thing was a week after the bold 3 crashed form IC issues and mum called and asked for a receipt of the hostel payment. I posted her all days till the uni I was then called for meeting BTW parents and School authority. What secondary school call PTA . I knew he don burst for me but the good thing was I was to go for Puga games prior to that and I did great in volleyball which turned me to a hero over night. Momma came to school to meet the DSA and my mentor. And the DSA was singing my praise abt my academic excellence and Sportsmanship. Mums head swelled up and forgot to ask for the receipt after hearing about my academic success and morals. Went on break and next resumption she still gave me 150k for the next semester accommodation. A pity I left that school the semester for a better life. This baba Yane |
