Romance › Re: True Story: Claimed She Was Virgin, Rushed Engagement by InvertedHammer: 5:07pm On May 15 |
SQLmastar: Please house, I need mature advice. This matter is tearing me apart.
I met this lady (a doctor) 4 months ago. I'm 35, she is 31. She told me she was a virgin and I believed her because of how she carried herself. I was very happy and rushed everything – introduction, engagement, and marriage plans (I promised my mum that I would get married before December 2026). We were supposed to do our traditional marriage in one week’s time.
Last week, I received an anonymous WhatsApp message. The person sent pregnancy test results showing that my fiancée was pregnant for her ex-boyfriend during her 1-year residency. She had told me about this ex, but said they never had sex, and that was why they broke up. I confronted her with the message. At first, she denied it and said it was fake, someone trying to spoil her name. But when I said I would call her best friend to confirm, she broke down and confessed the truth. She admitted she got pregnant for the ex, aborted it immediately, and promised herself never to have premarital sex again. She said she was ashamed and didn’t want to lose me, so she lied about being a virgin. Now I’m confused and heartbroken. I love her but the lies are too much. On the other hand, I have already invited many people – including the chief of my village and my manager at work. Cancelling now will bring serious shame and talk in my village and workplace.
Please Nairalanders, what should I do? Should I go ahead with the marriage or cancel everything? Has anyone been in this kind of situation?
I need honest advice. / There is no need to cancel the wedding now because of the inherent shame to you and your family. If you must take pain, take it like a man. And nothing brings such a ridiculous amount of pain than divorce or cheating. Be a man! By the way, have you considered praying for her / |

Another evidence of how Nigerians abuse prayers and deceive themselves. Stay with an adulterer and pray for her until a big STD devastates his life?
Keep praying. Tinubu is another evidence that prayer is useless. All that prayers, fasting and kabashing and we still ended up with Tinubu who is grinding everyone's balls on a stone.

Health › Re: The Dangerous Trend Of Using Interns In Our Public Hospitals! by InvertedHammer: 5:19pm On May 12 |
Jman06: It is not uncommon to see internship students being used in our public hospitals to do the jobs meant for fully engaged staff. This trend portends a serious danger as it puts the lives of patients at risks! Interns are students undergoing the last part of their training! They're are ment to be taught the practical aspects of their professions by fully licenced and engaged professionals in the facility!
However, what we now have in many public hospitals is a situation where these interns are taken in place of full staff members and the result is that errors upon errors are made by these interns at the detriment of patients! Many patients have died while others have suffered economic losses as a result of this dangerous trend.
In an ideal situation, interns are not meant to interface directly with patients. It is the job of fully licenced staff members of the hospital to care for patients while delegating minor duties to the interns.
The minister of health must rise to the occasion and put a stop to this anomaly! MDs should be made to employ fully licenced staff members and avoid using interns to do jobs meant for licenced professionals because these interns are not yet fully licenced to practise their professions! We have enough licenced professionals in the various healthcare fields who are ready to take up jobs in our hospitals! Let's stop putting the lives of patients at risks with this dangerous practise! Enough is enough! / It is a choice between interns or pastors' olive oil. Medical professionals japa a lot. One MD cannot see 200 patients in one day. So you know who to blame. Even those who hang around have to go on strike sometimes to get paid due benefits. Go figure! / |

James4358: I inherited seven stems of Cocoa with a plot of land in the village that was only good for Agriculture from my dad about 5 years ago when he transion to the other side. I was struggling with a Para military job that the pay couldn't take me home.
I decided to look homeward. Applied for study leave, went back home to my father's land, cleared the only plot he had and extended the cocoa farm of seven stems to about 300 stems as at today.
I initially did 900 nursery for transplant but only about 300 survived.
Today my farm pays me more than what I spent 5years to study in school. / I don't understand how people who live in rainforest region refuse to feed themselves. Farming should be included as a God-given right. What's the difference between those who blame the FG that they import petrol and the Nigerian man who buys bulk of his food stuff in the market? A man will interlock his whole compound and turn around to complain about prices of yam, pepper, tomatoes, vegetables in the market. People will appear helpless even in the basic things they can use to help themselves. Oh well... Congratulations OP. / |

Family › Re: Do Not Trust Anyone, Not Even Family by InvertedHammer: 3:36pm On May 12 |
Gagare1: Ugochukwu was healthy as anyone can be when he took his annual leave. He was excited too, because he can finally visit his aged Mom in the East. He came to the office and bid us goodbye - we wished him the best experience as he visits home. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.
A month passed. We were anticipating Ugo's return, but we got a call instead - Ugo is hospitalized due to "malaria" which excalated so fast that he had blood in his brain. How? Why? Where? I don't understand!
This morning, we received news of his death. It makes no sense. Absolutely no sense.
Is it now a crime to visit your village and see your aged mother? Is it now a crime to go home with gifts for family members? Is it now a crime to succeed in your career? Do you have any idea the battles he had to face to make it that far?
Ugo, God will judge every person that has a guilty hand in your death. I refuse to accept it as natural. There is nothing natural about a vibrant young manager dying at the very point of his breakthrough, in the arms of his aged mother, simply because he visited home.
Ugo's case has brought it home for me. I don't trust no one hence forth. I don't want any id10t around me. And I certainly don't have to visit any 4king village.
Now I understand why people relocate after making it.
Evil m4kers!
RIP Ugo!
Avenge your death!
Kill them all! / Without medical reports, you are already blaming village people. You described what could be subarachnoid hemorrhage. Other than looking healthy, do you know Ugo's preexisting and underlying medical conditions? All these recent incidents of "collapse and die" didn't emanate from village people. Family › Re: When A Man Allows His Financial Affairs To Be Controlled By His Wife... by InvertedHammer: 2:59am On May 10 |
OverCalculating: When a man allowed his financial affairs to be controlled by his wife, it means surrendering, it means everything...
In case you don't know, the $280 Million fortune that is controlled by Jet Li's wife is already a great deal for many women out there.
Before he married her, she was the Miss Asia and a retired actress. When he married her, he was proud to reveal her to the world as his financial manager.
T@he Martial arts legend, Jet Li proved that his wife, Nina Li, a former Miss Asia and retired actress, manages all his finances, including his $280 million fortune. Despite this, Nina avoids luxury items and focuses on caring for her husband and their family.
The couple met during the filming of Dragon Fight in 1988 and married in 1999 after 11 years of dating. They have two daughters together, and Nina has successfully handled several investments for her husband while keeping a low profile.
Jet Li once joked that he doesn’t carry cash or credit cards, relying on his wife, his financial manager for money. Nina values a simple life, staying out of the spotlight and prioritizing her family.
That could be the reasons her husband made huge success. A lot of women today may go as far as divorcing their husband because of his wealth and their insatiable quest for more money.
Like Nina, another person that comes to mind is Folashade Okoya. Although she was young when she got married to her Billionaire husband, she didn't let the wealth get into her head by living a flamboyant life or thinking of outshining her co-wives. Instead, she helped the man to grow his businesses by being her Finance manager.
This is a special message for all couples out there. Men should learn how to trust and surrender their Financial Control to their wives at certain stage in life and the wives should not betray the trust by craving for frivolity. / Exceptions do not make the rule. Don't focus on outliers. / |
