Israel and her supporters bragged about Iron Dome for years forgetting that technology keeps improving. Iran shocked the hell out of them. One thing for sure, all the aggression in the Middle East will stop in earnest. Iran is the new king in that block.

I won't blame her wholly.
What if a pastor prophesied that she'd receive "unmerited favour" and this money entered? grin

Someone who was able to refund N54k out of N100k after all the harassment means that she was barely hanging on. To collect the remaining N46k will be a daunting task.

How do people transfer money to the wrong account when the account number and name of recipient are usually displayed before transfer?

RomanceRe: Is It Appropriate To Help My Married Ex? by InvertedHammer: 4:19pm On Apr 18
Toolegit123:
Good day my Nairaland fam.

Please, matured minds in the house,is it a good thing for a man to help his ex girlfriend who's now married, financially. She used to be someone whom I loved so dearly in the past but unfortunately, she broke up with me immediately she met someone who was already asking her hand in marriage. It's been over 3 years since she got married and I made sure I cut every bit of communication between us. Out of the blue,I don't know who gave her my number. She called me,and apologized for what she did to me. Even before she could ask for my help,I already knew her husband wasn't financially buoyant like I thought. She said she wants to open a provision store ,cuz immediately after they got married, they relocated to Lagos. And she asked for my assistance.

So,I don't know if it's appropriate at all to help her, considering how she left me emotionally stranded when I needed her the most in my life. Tho I've completely moved on with my life, but receiving a call from her brought back a whole lot of memories.

Please,my fellow Nairalanders, reason with me. Should I help her out?
/
Provision store? Come on now!

That's the least you can do.

I suggest open the store for her, add a car to it. After buy land and build a house for her. Then for the heck of it, impregnate her too.

What's wrong with people these days?

It is always single people that compile this list.

Married people are two busy with children, work, bills, in-laws, life challenges to even worry about intimacy. When it happens, it happens

It is the same for guys who think that marriage means frequent sex anywhere and any time. They jump in and jump out when reality hits them. Ever wonder why the rate of divorce is very high these days? There you have it. Unrealistic expectations!

I know someone like that.
43/F/single and believes that she's the last hope of her family. Her siblings that she trained are all married with kids. Her family situation turned her to an alpha female deserving an alpha male. But what successful man would want to deal with that? The sad part is that the mother is now pressuring her to find her own husband.

So he claims to perform all these wonderful miracles and can't cure his daughter. And with his position and connection, he should at least know a pastor that performs real miracles.

He knows what we know--miracles in Nigeria are arranged to hoodwink the basket of gullible to hand over their wallets.

That's really nice. I used to criticize him but transversing Anambra State in January, I could see the good works on road construction. The ride from Ekwulobia to Amawbia at night was amazing. I hope he continues with the dualization project from Nwa Agu to Nnewi and Ekwulobia - Umunze.

I dare say that even though Ngige pioneered major road constructions in Anambra, Soludo took it to a higher level. He is doing great things on intra-Anambra road network.

Meanwhile, he should cut back on the childish naming of everything "Solution". It is stupid

Their monthly salary is equivalent to your annual income if at all you are employed. Upon that, they have access to quality healthcare, drive on good roads, don't worry about herdsmen massacre and still have clean water and stable electricity.

With millions in the bank, if you get into an accident, hospitals will reject you and you die like a cockroach. I hope you still remember that out of 195 countries in the world, Nigeria has the lowest life expectancy of 54. When was the last time you heard about pensioners protesting over non-payment of gratuities, etc? grin Congratulations!

Oga you are in a trap and trust me you aren't making any 6 figures income be it in Nigeria or UK ! I can bet on that

Which slaves ...people are living good in their countries ..a man earning from 500k upwards ij Nigeria is far far better than those economic black slaves in UK that are at the lower end of ladder....blacks aren't slaves

There are many in Nigeria that are doing well, balling... You can't even have a decent life in UK, your kids are exposed to gang violence and knife issues, you can't eat decent food, it's junks all through! It's a rat race ! Shift after shift !

Always on the lookout for deportation etc! Always trying to measure up and lack sleep as the art Ike said! You can't even discipline the kids and as a man you are emasculated cos you talk anyhow your wife will boot you out especially during winter ....

Oga that is slavery and the money isn't there! You can't even afford to bring the kids home! Or get them in a decent school

Oga you are in a trap and don't call others living well in their country! You can't even afford to buy a decent car! You have to pay taxes for it! That's suffering , living in shared apartment that's not living that's existing bro!

Many guys in UK are suffering and I have seen it first hand !
/
Apparently you believe life is all about money in the bank. I guess you are more knowledgeable and wiser than even your billionaire politicians who prefer to keep their immediate families abroad. Keep living a deluded life. Nigerians deserve their leaders.

By the way, anyone earning N500k/month in this contemporary Nigeria is barely living. A standard 2-bdr apartment is N2.5m/ yr excluding other fees. That's about his 5 months salary. You call that living? He is one minor incident away from forming Committee of Friends and start bothering others for financial assistance. cool

RomanceRe: There’s One Thing My Girlfriend Has Never Done, Yet We’re Planning Marriage by InvertedHammer: 4:17am On Apr 13
CYBERWEAVER:
I am currently planning to get married. I’ve been with my babe for about a year now.

After several consultations, we agreed on a wedding budget of about 3 million Naira.

But I keep asking myself one very honest question: how do I commit that kind of money to someone who hasn’t really shown the same level of effort back, even in something as small as 5k, despite earning a little?

Asin, I never smell her 5k since we started dating.

At this point, it’s not even about the money anymore. It’s about intention, balance, and simple acts of kindness.

Even on my birthday, I didn’t receive a gift from her, and that stayed with me more than I expected.

I’ve never had to deliberately test her money, because genuine care and small acts of giving usually show themselves naturally over time.

To be clear, I’ve been carrying most of the financial weight in this relationship, and there’s hardly anything tangible she has ever done for herself without at least my 50% contribution since we met.

I don’t complain, but I also don’t want to ignore what I’m seeing.

As a responsible man, I’m trying to be honest with myself before I take a step I can’t easily undo.

So I want to ask people who are married or have real experience: if I go ahead and marry in a relationship where this is the current dynamic, what should I realistically expect in marriage?

I’m not trying to assume the worst, but I also believe experience speaks louder than hope.
/

That's not a reason not to marry her.

God in his divine mercy put someone like you on this earth so that other men will learn from your mistakes. Go ahead and fulfill your divine mandate.

Every village in Imo State has an igwe thanks to the autonomous community arrangement. All they do is cause trouble and kiss up to the state government. What kind of igwe has been abroad since and abandoned his community? Who has been managing the affairs of the community? Of course such persons wouldn't want the igwe back alive because of fringe benefits that comes with such communal power. Not that I condone what happened to him, but they need to get rid of Imo State style of igweship. Every political charlatan must not be an igwe.

/
Does it matter? Black are reduced to slaves whether abroad or in Nigeria. The difference is that at least they get appreciated and paid for services rendered abroad. Social contracts with government cover them too. Thus they drive on good roads, have steady electricity and good healthcare system. In Nigeria, the slaves (aka citizens) are dared to complain or worse, criticize the government. The difference is clear but slavery nonetheless.

PoliticsRe: Who Remembers Youth Earnestly Ask For Abacha (YEAA) - Throwback Video by InvertedHammer: 7:17pm On Apr 12
/
The plausible deniability in Nigeria is appalling. One would think that nobody associated with Abacha while the majority of the politicians and yeyebrities worshipped him. His greatest undoing was chasing away economic vultures. If in doubt, how come 27 years since Democracy, Nigeria is still in shambles with astronomical looting taking place on daily basis? Refineries are not working, the roads are extremely bad, PHCN got worse, unemployment is high, fuel price went parabolic, freedom of speech is a mirage, so what exactly has changed from the days of Abacha? I can tell you---Nigerians felt secure in their homes. Do they now?
