Igbo people are migrants ably represented in all nooks and crannies of the world away from the prying eyes of envious government officials. With the naira in deep shit, forex inflows will keep many Igbo families afloat. When push comes to shove, many folks will organize giveaways for their kinsmen like during Covid-19.

We ain't tripping.

Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth continue.

Sirchiboy:
Bolt is a slave work and they are heartless.
Bolt is the most useless platform in the world.
This morning I got suspended after one stupid passenger that gave me wrong direction reported my account.

Imagine driving for 15-20 minutes, to pick this evil passenger and he cancelled your order because of impatience.

And not done still
Reported your account and got your account suspended.

If not for the impractical government we have.
How can?
Person go to school,
Graduate and start doing taxi or bolt...
I now have peace of mind.
It is well.

That's always the game plan.

Let the price run off so much that the people will be happy to pay an inflated price afterwards.
N5700 to N15000 and people will be happy to pay N8000 afterwards. The same with flight tickets, fuel prices, you name it. As usual, Nigerians will adapt.

The people who wrote the Bible had very good sense of imaginations way better than Shakespeare. Imagine such a tantalizing illusionary tales aptly marketed as facts.

Igbo people believe in forewarned is forearmed.

They were right about Buhari. They were right about Tinubu. The rest chose to ignore them and today are the worst hit. They are mostly traders. If dollar rates increase, they increase prices to offset the inflation. The same cannot be said of the others who are mainly in civil services earning calculated salaries.

Politics / Re: Naira Weakens As Banks’ Dollar Sales Plunge By $252m by InvertedHammer: 2:23pm On Feb 19
ifytrik:
The problem with Nigeria is our president, I could remember during the regime of jonathan 1.5 million naira was almost all it takes to clear a 16 ft container, buhari came in and it was increased to 6 million naira, today it will cost you between 17 to 18 million naira to clear same size of container if they don't seize it. Now you know why the prices of imported goods are skyrocketing, tasking an importer a whopping 18 million naira to clear his container is like killing Nigerians because the importer will add it to the price of the goods he imported and at the end the consumers are the one paying the 18 million naira you collected from the importer, it's not just the dollar issue that is skyrocketing the prices of imported goods, it's the president alongside the Nigeria custom service who doesn't care if Nigerians are surviving or dieing, I don't have anything against Tinubu but I think his policies shows he doesn't mean well for Nigerians, first he removed the fuel subsidy which was the only benefit common man like me was getting from the government, secondly he floated the naira which is the reason naira is loosing value every second.
/
The problem is not the President. The major problem are the idiots that buy into any propaganda shoved down their throat. From Buhari to Tinubu, how can any sane individual blame those who are always capable of playing the masses like fools? I am glad everyone is suffering it. Don't cry yet. During the next election, the same pattern of voting and rigging will happen.

In countries with real data-based economy, high inflation supports their currency because of interest rate outlook. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. High inflation, naira devalues. So there are other forces at play centered on obligate consumption and corruption.

Is it really necessary? All they need to do is disable "Withdrawal " or "Transfer" button on their apps. Tell customers who come for OTC withdrawal that dollar is not available. The customers can wail and curse to no avail. Final final their dollars are trapped and we move to updated Shege pro max version 2.

With this level of desperation, it is a matter of time before customers' funds will be trapped. Some diehards think it is inconceivable. Oh well...

People who are hungry are already on automatic fasting. How does this change anything?
No advanced country prayed and fasted her way to prosperity.
If fasting and prayers work, Nigeria would have been the biggest economy of the world considering the
billions of prayers (or do I say prayerful noise) emanating from the country on a daily basis.

Don't you see US always accusing China of intentionally devaluing their currency?
Example, if Togo devalues their currency you'd be going there to buy stuff and vacations, but if they inflate their currency you won't go
/

You don't manufacture anything of importance. You don't produce anything. You can't even refine your oil instead you rely on swap. Yet you want to use the prescription that works for China (a manufacturing and production giant). Devaluation works for exporting countries and stable economies not this rubbish that exist in Nigeria.

Salary earners are the worst hit. Inflation has rendered their monthly salaries insignificant.

Food / Re: See The Food I Prepared In My Girlfriend's House. by InvertedHammer: 9:20pm On Feb 12
jeromestarks:
Last night, I went to see AFCON final in my girlfriend's house. After the second half, I got hungry and decided to prepare something to eat.
I went into her kitchen and Lo and Behold! I saw huge meat and crates of eggs. Omo! For this economy?

I quickly rushed to cook some eggs and meat in a very delicious stew , then we accompanied it a very smooth Tuwo.

This girl has never seen me cook before. She was surprised!

Though Nigeria lost the match , we had fun all through the night because the food was so so delicious (at least to her anyway).
By my calculations, this food cost about 5k.
How much will it cost you to prepare this?

Forget the table, na backyard we sidown with her potable TV dey watch match.

He won’t say same about Israel

The US is over 30 trillion in debts and Israel at a surplus of 200 billion, yet, the US would keep funding it. Another billions is about to leave again, when Americans cannot boast of housing for all, free healthcare, free tertiary education, infrastructures, or security.

Trump is a known lap dog of Putin. He will say anything to win Putin’s heart.

The world operates on interests not morality. Did you shudder when Saudi Arabia is considering allowing alcohol consumption bc of profits from hosting a football event? So do many countries put their interests above morality or religion. Only poverty-stricken minds in shithole countries think morals (which they lack by the way) are the solution to issues.

If two countries go to war, US will sell weapons to both countries. Heck! They can kill themselves for all US care.
