It doesn't help hearing that a caregiver died in UK only to realize that she was a lawyer in Nigeria. Imagine graduating from a university with a law degree, going to Nigerian law school, passing and then only to end up as a caregiver in UK because Nigeria holds no hope for the future. Who will rescue Nigeria since japa seems to be the only hope and aspiration programmed into the brains of the masses?

What's the big deal? N50bn unsecured loans to execute a contract? If she'd given N100m of that money to the people as charity or giveaways, they would have canonized her. The Daddy G.Os and philanthropists you people hail on a daily basis are doing worse. Why the selective outrage?
Why would anyone expect a billionaire in Nigeria to engage in ethical practices in the unlawful entity known as Nigeria?

The ones Obiano borrowed during his time, what did he do with it? He left Anambra in shambles and ran back to Texas.
The funds that FG borrowed, what did they do with it?

I noticed that Awka is looking so much like Dubai as promised by Soludo. Extend my warmest regards to him. Soludo is not the

Willie Obiano wasted a lot of funds on his “Willie is working” propaganda. People expected so much from Soludo but instead he towed the path of his predecessor with the silly “Solution “ campaign.

However, Gov. Otti is getting a lot of free advertisements, campaign and encomium online and offline with his good works in Abia State. People have eyes. I used to wonder why SE governors don’t patronize Julius Berger to build quality roads that last. Gov Otti has proved that it is doable.

The reason that the politicians take the people for granted is because they understand that the people are mostly cowards who'd rather die for nothing than fight back.

For those of you supporting this rubbish, I hope you don't complain when the hen comes home to roost. They have started with Govt. Warehouses and have move to stealing people's goods in truck, goods either bought on credit or someone's hard earn money and you're laughing about it and making a joke of it saying it is hunger. I hope when they start breaking into your shops and homes you will still understand it's hunger? We were in South South when Militancy started and they were kidnapping the white expatriate people laughed it off and said it's just the white, they don't kidnap black people because they are our sons, the white began to go back to their country and when there where no more whites to kidnap they started kidnapping their so called black brothers who worked in oil companies, people still laughed it off that they only kidnap oil workers, when oil companies began to leave they started kidnapping rich men, people started saying they only kidnap rich people, today everyone is a target weather rich or poor nobody is spared. Same thing happened in the North with Boko haram, same thing in the east with UGM, here we are again cheering this looters. I hope when they start breaking into the homes of your age fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, uncles and aunties. I hope by that time we will also understand it is hunger?

Black people are easily manipulated and divided. Religion did it. Politics is doing it.
Even in heaven in afterlife, their section will be riddled with strife and agitations over issues that could be settled diplomatically. It doesn't help that everyone wants to be the Lord.

Africa alone has 54 nations. Add others, it will be around 60 black nations in the world give or take. Someone listing progressive ones was only able to name 3 or 4 representing only 6%. Oh well...

Politics / Re: CBN’s 22.5% Interest Rate Will Worsen Economic Situation – Peter Obi by InvertedHammer: 11:50am On Feb 29
/
They don't understand that tightening the interest rate is done when the economy is so good that there is too much money supply in the system leading to runaway inflation.
Growth cannot be spurred in a distressed economy by closing the window of borrowing to producers. They should be looking for solution for stagflation (stagnant economy + inflation) and not just inflation. If only some people can get their brains away from textbooks and apply common sense in a homegrown economics, Nigeria will be great.

Food / Re: Pure Water May Be Sold For ₦100/Sachet Due To High Production Cost by InvertedHammer: 9:56pm On Feb 28
Faiththatworks:
I believe at this point some people are bent on sabotaging the government.
Why is everything getting so expensive,it seems Nigeria is now an extension of the United States.
Once the Naira falls to the Dollar, everything rises in Nigeria,I'm wondering how everything involved in the production of pure water is connected to the Dollar.
I believe it's time for Government to intervene and stop the sabotage.
Seriously,I don't think anyone should blame Asiwaju for what's happening in Nigeria,it shows the extent of decline on our nation.
It shows out total dependence on foreign countries for survival.
I say shame on our leaders,a big shame on them.
I implore Government to keep adding more taxes on all these imported goods,we must get to the point where we must begin to look inwards to survive.
If we can't produce ordinary nylon bags to package pure water and we have to also import the chemicals to purify the water, then I say Nigeria has a very serious problem.
For those who believe Asiwaju is the cause of this I implore you to have a rethink, why should we Ignore the bigger problem and focusing on the smaller ones.
God bless Nigeria.
/
Read the article again. The price of nylon used in production increased. Everything is affected by dollars because folks thought "consumption to production" was a joke just like everything Nigeria.
