Politics › Re: Rivers: Tinubu declares State of Emergency, suspends Fubara, Assembly for 6 mont by InvertedHammer: 12:14am On Mar 19, 2025 |
/ Poor students of history!
What do GEJ, Ambode, Peter Obi and Fubara have in common?
In times of aggression, they were docile and preached peace. Nigerian version of politics does not favour perceived weak players. Atiku had the power to stop OBJ's second tenure but he chose peace too. The rest is history.
Only loose canons survive Nigerian politics.
Watch and see how quickly people will switch allegiance overnight.

It is up to Rivers State indigenes to put up with judicial rascality like the docile indigenous people of Imo State or employ the justices of the street to counter them.
If Fubara shows any sign of being a "hard man", all the nonsense will stop. Otherwise he will be given the Ambode treatment. Politics in Nigeria is not for the faint-hearted. Don't go to a gun fight with sticks

Truths9ja: Today, we commissioned the landmark Zonal Hospital, Bori, which will serve the healthcare needs in the South-East Senatorial district of our dear State.
The project is significant because it was initiated several years ago and subsequently abandoned despite its significant value in improving our people's healthcare.
In consideration of its importance, my administration expanded the facility and today it is open to the use of our people. This is the essence of governance - to attend to the well-being and welfare of the people.
That historical event climaxed our day following our earlier effort to comply with the Supreme Court verdict by visiting the State House of Assembly to present the 2025 appropriation bill. Though I was denied access, I will continue to look forward to a better Rivers State where the interest of the people is considered paramount.

Career › Re: My Boss Met Me Having Virtual Interview In The Office by InvertedHammer: 10:11pm On Mar 06, 2025 |
1phone: I won’t take much of your time with a long story. You may remember that late last month, I mentioned my boss refusing to pay my salary. At the time, I explained my situation and asked for advice on my next move, considering I don’t have an appointment letter to support any legal action.
Since then, I’ve taken some of the advice given—I started job hunting and have attended several interviews, both physical and virtual.
Fast forward to this morning: one of the companies I interviewed with shortlisted me for the next stage, which was scheduled as a virtual interview at 10:00 AM. I acknowledged the email without trying to reschedule since my boss and his wife usually resume work around 1–2 PM.
However, 15 minutes into the interview, my boss unexpectedly arrived. He headed straight to my office, and I noticed someone standing nearby, eavesdropping. I didn’t think much of it—until I realized it was him. He had heard everything! He then walked into my office and, without saying much, informed me that he had listened to my interview conversation. I greeted him, but there was complete silence before he left.
Honestly, I’m exhausted from working at this company but stayed back to secure another job before leaving. To make matters worse, I still haven’t been paid for last month.
My Questions: Will I still get my salary, knowing that I plan to resign? Do you think my boss will fire me before I resign? What should my next move be, and how should I handle my relationship with him before leaving? / Nothing to worry about. Since he paid you last month, he will pay you this month as well. Does Monday come after Sunday? Just checking if you need a reality check. / |
