/ Sen. Abaribe knows the right things to say in public to deflect his shortgivings. He is very crafty. He is using the travails of MNK to his advantage. / |
MadamVanessa:/ But watch out as poor Nigerians will line up to fight over who will say the biggest "Congratulations" ![]() As usual, the ubiquitous blessing-tappers won't disappoint. / |
/ CBN laid many people off. Then turned around and offered some people up to N100m for voluntary resignation. Who wouldn't see this lawsuit coming? People felt cheated ![]() / |
ValCon888:/ Why would any Nigerian vote or was expected to vote for Trump? Have you seen the country Nigeria? Nigerians are known to choose bad political leaders. The only people who supported Democrats are obligate beggars/ leeches. Think Nigerians! Wokeism died natural death since November after the election. People can now focus on what matters to them and not pronouns nor male/female dichotomy or lack thereof. / |
/ So he couldn't nominate anyone from his core constituents for the medal? Or has he separated ways with LGBTQ+. I guess they realized a tad too late that Americans are fed up with the shenanigans. / |
/ There are thousands of laws in Nigeria that nobody cares about because it is a case of who pays the piper determines the tune. If your landlord increases rent arbitrarily, just move. If it pains you, buy a land and build your own house. It is the shady country. While the landlords may be gouging tenants, other facets of the economy are gouging them too. It is the same as a government that won't fix roads, arbitrarily removes fuel subsidy, inflation running high and yet wants to control transport fares. It ain't gonna work. / |
Treasure17:/ 29 is borderline late. Anything above 26 is "Hail Mary" / |
/ A somewhat serious country like South Africa knew to send an ex-President to prison. But in Nigeria, they are automatically elevated to reverred statesmen even when their actions and utterances point to the contrary. / |
/ With the high level of insecurity in the SE, why would any sane being throw knockout inside a church? He has it coming. Play stupid game, win stupid prize. / |
/ So why didn't he do it in his 8 years in Aso Rock? He was busy bribing lawmakers to get 3rd term. Obasanjo laid the foundation for the rot in Nigerian democracy. He was an emperor and never a President. / |
/ Nigeria's humongous problems na turn by turn. In the 70s, Fela's generation hoped e go better. For where? Austerity measures in the 80s weren't any better. Japa syndrome got serious in the 90s. In 2024/25, after all the wasted "e go better", everything turned from bad to worse. Guess what? Many people are still reserving the hopelessness for their generation unborn. Nobody to blame here. It is genetic---they are carrying on the cowardice inherited from their grandparents. / |
/ VIN is too complicated to implement. Thieves don't have luxury of time. They sit in a car nearby. When you press you fob to lock your car, they capture the details--kind of "man in the middle attack". Viola! Your car is gone in 60 seconds. Solution: Good old physical key lock, pedal lock and a steering lock. / |
kettykings:/ Employment is a number that can be erased anytime. / |
/ Anyone who could string sentences coherently together could have beaten Kamala. She is a joke taken too far. A presidential candidate that has no personal opinions and couldn't function outside of teleprompter is a disaster cum puppet waiting to happen. After Trump won the election, have you seen anyone struggling with his or her pronoun anymore? They magically disappeared. / |
jesusjnr2020:/ You abandoned God and started worshipping someone who "claimed" to be his son. I wonder how that makes God feel. Then you wonder why for decades your prayers are never answered. You are only living on hope. / |
/ The boy lives in Benin. He knows the relationship between the police and young boys in nice cars. Right or wrong? It is what it is. He chose to make himself a victim. If you drive a nice car as a young guy in Benin, you open yourself up for extortion. That's the unofficial tax on show off. / |
/ Target is N565/$ / |
/ Bypassing USD is good if sustained. It doesn't make sense that wire transfers have to be routed through US banks (intermediary) before reaching its final destination. Extortion will be a harsh word. / |
exe0:/ Are you talking about practicing or becoming a full-fledged MD? The apprentice fixing your brake pad is already practicing but is not considered a full-fledged mechanic. The value of a resident physician (still considered an apprentice/student under the auspices of an attending physician by the way) is attached to his salary which is peanuts compared to medical doctors. Residents are not qualified to write all orders especially controlled substances, invasive procedures AND their orders are usually double-checked through their attending. Now if s/he is a fellow, it is a different ball game. / |
WesleyPepper:/ Ok. Let's add it. Residency is minimum of 3 years ( for those lucky to be placed on first attempt in low competitive specialties) USMLE part 1 USMLE part 2 Intermediary logistics. Minimum of 5 years is sacrosanct. Your friend is either an outlier or a liar. Take it to the bank. A story that starts with "my friend" (not personal experience) is not credible. / |
arthurwillia:/ Every country is different. With a medical degree from Nigeria, you will need at least 5 years (assuming the candidate is very intelligent) to practice as a doctor in US. They have the same stringent rules whether you are coming from UK or Australia. Other healthcare professionals can present their degrees from Nigeria and challenge the Board exams if they meet the prerequisites. Sometimes it is easier and cheaper to study those courses in Nigeria / |
/ Nigeria is the way it is because as Rotimi Amechi noted, "Nigerians don't react to anything". Those wishing, hoping and praying for massive uprising against politicians will continue to be disappointed. / |
/ It won't be far-fetched to believe that police and military at the checkpoints are the ones passing information about vehicles and their occupants to kidnappers. All it takes is a phone call with the description of the vehicle. At the end, their shares from ransom are definitely bigger than their salaries. / |
/ DXY is at the highest level this year. Other major currencies (Euro, CAD, pound sterling, Australian dollars, etc) are down against US dollars. Only naira seems to be appreciating back gradually. Do whatever you want with this information. I will continue to shy away from naira long-term. One week gyration is not a trend--that's how it ended up N1700 from N350/$ / |
/ In a reasonable society, Sarki's comment would warrant his arrest for inciteful comments. / |
/ Nothing will come out of the case. The living should learn a big lesson from a situation like this especially those living in South Africa. Don't invest in any country until your paper is tight. And for Christ's sake, don't put any investment under the name of a foreign spouse in her country no matter what--it rarely ends well. / |
/ They should stop this nonsense of asking inconsequential people to be Igbo. If they deny their Igbo heritage, so be it. I don't see any exceptional values they will add to Igbo. After getting all the abandoned properties (now near obsolete and dilapidated) in Rivers State during the war, are they doing any better than the Igbo tribe in general? / |
/ Not knocking her .. but Funke is at the level where she should be in pursuit of originality. She's got the audience that loves her. Everybody loves Raymond, Everybody loves Chris and now "Everybody loves Jenifa". Come on now! She doesn't need to copy American sitcoms to survive. / |
Vikto17:/ A lady that wants to end a relationship is never helpless...she knows what to do. You are being played. Serious ladies usually destroy their old sim card, get a new SIM and give out numbers to those she feels are important in her new life. Until then, save up money for DNA test or do the noble thing and end the relationship. / |
/ It is a matter of time. The Supreme Court and the entire judiciary have made so much mockery of themselves that it is expected that at some point, their pronouncement will be outrightly ignored. Let's not forget that back in the days, British Privy Council overruled and overturned many Nigerian Supreme Court judgments. So much for independence ![]() / |
VaginaAcademic:/ Someone who is a close friend of the suspect cannot be an innocent victim himself. It is a case of a man who betrayed his partner-in-crime. / |
/ Brigadier General Major General Lt. General General Field Marshal From the report, they were promoted to Major General not General. / |
