Toilet pit full of sh*t |
Nigeria has never been a great nation and I fear it may never become great again. We have everything to make this nation great. Oil Tin Popluation Coal Cocoa Groundnut Gas Palm oil Water and its resources Arable land Tourist attactions Time (50 whole years to mix all these) But what do we have in abundance now? Hate Corruption Unemployment Prostitution Armed robbery Kidnapping Ethnic hatered Lootocracy Murder Religious bigotry Backbiting Backstabing Assasination Letter bombs Militancy Thuggery 419 Alamajiri Religious massacre Rigging Ballot theft Car snatching Policy reversals Policy somersault Extra judical killings Cultism School strikes Half baked graduates Mediocre leaders Urban slums Refuse heaps Market arson Police brutality Embezzlement Rape Torture Uncompleted projects Fuel shortage Perrenial power shortage (PHCN, NEPA) Bribery Nepotism Tribalism Poor health care Lack of drinking water Need we go on? How long will it take for you to be convinced that we are going nowhere, your fathers suffered this neglect, you are suffering now and do you want your children to continue to bear this hell. Only those connected to the corrupt money want to stay in this hopeless union, this is slavery pure and simple! |
Are those living abroad richer than those in naija? I don't think so, seriously. |
I respect all Nigerians abroad, (I sent a good many relatives there) and appreciate their efforts. But I must say I am not comfortable with the ones that has gotten rich through crime. Those are the ones who come back and flaunt ill gotten wealth at those around them like they pick it off the street. We also don't like them 'posing' to us and looking down on people back home. |
I am yet to see any 'layman' happy about this nation. Everyone takes out their frustration on others and we don't have any security of lives. Between a Nigerian life and a chicken, I don't know which is more cheap. |
Sorry if I sound different but those abroad may not even help matters. Chimaroke Nnamani came back from his medical practice in the US, contested and won the Enugu guber elections and left as a name to beat in thieffry! He was a crook all the way. Most Nigerians are not leading honest lives abroad anyway. |
This fight is still on, the worst thing is that elder Elechi is poweless as governor. These hired gunmen block the expressway for days shooting at sight any vehicle that nears the roadblocks. |
My problem is the type of people that make up the other sections of the country. This is what I think, housa/fulanis and some other tribes can never see the reason to join a revolution, why? These people are content the way they are and will frown at anyone thinking the way I do, they will think we are too fast, too foward, too materialistic, too carefree, too freeminded and therefore will remove themselves from any revlot plans. The rulers that come from there are too slow,( its their nature) that they may never drive us out of this quagmire and they see it as they are doing the best. WE ARE NOT THE SAME PEOPLE! Chikena! |
@sefago, when you need to move and you drive into a cul-de-sac (close ended street) naturally you will want to reverse and seek another option, road, street or even swim across a canal. We have come to the end of the road here, do you want to remain in the cul-de-sac? |
Nigeria should break up! There is nothing anywhere to suggest that things can ever change here, more hungry thieves are joining the ones in government. When will they get tired of free money - forever and one day! We have so much personalized corruption that it has become the only way of life here, abomination! Honest views are being squeezed out in favour of crookery, things are getting worse even as I speak, this nation is doomed to failure, let's allow the obvious to happen. |
Still waiting for a good ride. |
Who let the 'douglas' out? |
@honeric01, you tried sha, but in my opinion, we are trying for nothing. Those we are paying to don't know us, those we vote for don't work for us, 50 years of merry-go-round and counting. Why not let's try another approach, persuade them to divide this nation since the centre is not holding anymore. I support a peaceful division. |
@ honeric, I have done a lot to make things better. I have paid my taxes for 18 years. I have cast my votes for those I think will better the nation, only to see them lose to those same criminals that have kept us in bondage. I have set up businesses and employed people from all regions, housa, yoruba, Igbo, kogi/benue and edo. I have adviced my councilor and he laughed in my face, telling me things can't be done that way. I have provided my own power, water, roads, security and other amenities while paying govt bills for such. I have written articles in my blog online and written to editors in dailies on how best to achieve results. Now, what have you done to better our country, your turn now. |
What I see now frightens me. Nothing works and we all sit down and smile, blaming the whole thing on luck and destiny, wake up people and challenge these people, this cabal are nearer to you than you think. The town unions, the councilors, the traditional rulers and the LG chairmen. These ppl eat money and do nothing while the rest of your stare like malu! Managing the one bottle of star they buy for you periodically, some tell me that God will help us, God only helps those that helps themselves. I live in Nigeria and this place is just , hellllllll! |
Nigeria will break up soon, we have clearly come to the end of the road. This union is not working and we need to try something else. Its not by force na! Let the people go since our leaders are so so incompetent. Mediocrity rules over brilliance. |
@asha80, the jos killings, the sanusi witch hunt, the abdulmutallab, the senseless mallams of boko haram, the lack of skill from most nothern politicians and the fact that this nation seems too big for one man to govern. I don't agree we shall ever agree with these people. |
This nation is finished, it doesn't matter what the traditional ruler has to say, afterall he is paid from this same pot of corruption that is Nigeria. This is a failed state, has never functioned for 50 years and from all indications, we are sinking lower still. We need to divide, shikena! |
Na lie chelseabmw, some people are like that, the supermarket remenmber? You take the price tag and pay the price or drop the goods and waka pass. Saves everyone more time and energy. |
@ skenge, my ride must be foreign used, direct toks. |
@ow11, na lie, some people are immune to fraud, I can give you all my contacts and you will try till thy kingdom come, I won't get duped. |
@sithanda, can you post the pics to my box. Thanks. Ojiego24@yahoo.co.uk |
These people call me almost every week, I just dey listen and laugh with friends, after we spend their credit, we curse the guy and laugh. My friend that they duped, they told him to meet elder John Ezeh that works at Anammco Enugu and buy the kits from him. My friend went to Anammco and a man came out from Anammco and sold the kits outside the gate and collected the cash. When my friend took the useless kits to the restuarant they told hin to go to, everyone burst into laughter, asking him how much he 'donated' The guy went back to anammco with police and the security team assured them that there is no John Ezeh in Anammco, not to talk of being an elder. (Remember that the elder returned to Anammco earlier after collecting the cash). |
The guy may be a mechanic sef. |
There are some topics where people dance around in circles, repeating each others points in different sentences, all used cars are unsafe, but wetin we ga do? We are poor here abi poor man dey get choice for una place? If the car has an accident and you bought it from the dealer without such knowlwdge and sold without knowledge, who is to blame? - The economy that makes decent hardworking folks slaves, settling for less. Besides, what you don't know won't pain you. |
If I were to give a list, no person who has been in govt before will near that list, fresh names with a new ideology targeted on radical change in the shortest possible time without minding whose ox is gored. |
Alas, its got no price. |
I appreciate the contribution of all, another question, are all V6 engines 6 cylinders? Sometimes they are quoted to be cheaper than V4s, any reasons for this? |
But, is it true that V6 engines take more fuel than the V4? |
My Nissan Bluebird wagon, 1988 model that I parked outside a compound in Enugu to attend a burial inside the compound was stolen before I could come out from the compound. All my vital documents, cheques, ATM cards, I'd cards, reciept booklets, drivers licence and other documents were in the car. This incident happened on the 29th of January this year. |
@maballack, that was harsh! I pray you never live to see what it feels like to lose your car, advertisement or not, first show remorse or, waka pass. |
@femmy2010, will it come from cotonou or lagos? |
