This may have been said already; but 50x100 will leave little or no space after the 3D image I'm seeing is built on it. I'm equally building a 5 bedroom bungalow and so far I'm close to 2Mil mark excluding cost of land and I just reached roofing level shocked (currently considering parapet feature & it's high cost)... I'm envisaging spending another 1.5Mil or so for parapet and longspan step tiles roofing and maybe another 1.5 - 2Mil to do an average standard finish - it's a village country home after all. So my brother for this 3D I dey see so, set your mind on 5Mil and above depending on taste, materials and labour cost in Benin
thanks for the info. I have settled for a 4 bedroom. Please the envisioned 1.5 Million, is it for parapet+roofing? What is the average cost of parapet alone and what is the average cost of roofing alone and when we add the 2 together what should one be expecting? I am asking this cos some folks make it seem like parapet will cost around 800k excluding roofing. So, your answer is highly needed and appreciate in anticipation.

Thanks.

can you produce something as aesthetic as the one on this thread or in the bracket of Skimanski? smiley Let me know. I don't want a plane drawing but something unique.

Ipain, the way it's been done is that since you already have the land and you know the size and there is nothing you can do about that, get the survey plan for the land and send it to an Architect and tell them how many rooms you want, and the Archie will design to fit your land for you.
A 5 Bedroom will surely fit into a 50x100ft, but it will be design for that size... so looking at a 3D drawing is not going to help you. Tell the Archie you want the house to look like the one you posted and it will be adjusted a little to accommodate your design. I hope you understand what I mean.
You also fail to give full detail specifications for the 3D you posted.. may be there are some unnecessary things/space that may be cut out of that design to make it fit perfectly in your already owned land.. You cannot amend your land, but you can amend the building plan.
How can people here say they don't advice a 50x100ft land for a bungalow when people are using half a plot for a bungalow.

i have got a surveyor to do the survey. thanks for the advice. once its done,i will get the design

I was around that area today,I went to check a plot with a nairalander and to be straight that design you posted will be too big for 50x100 trust me if possible you can call me and let's meet but I will advice if you make the plot a 100x100 it will be but either way maybe you check for other design and get something similar but I don't advice 50x100 for that bungalow

You can call me on 07014709098
thanks... I think I will look for a 4bedroom design. I just love something aesthetic and eye-appealing.

The Building Carcass which includes its completion to roofing and plastering will be in the region of 5.5 to 6million NGN.

Is there a prepared building plan for the proposed project ? Dimension of all parts of the proposed features will be needed to ascertain the actual amount needed which may not be up to the projected 5.5m to 6m indicated above.

Hi,
I have gone through your post and it sounds very desperate. I must warn you that showing signs of desperation is the easiest way of falling into a scam.
The reason people succeed in scamming is because they are patient and build trust with their victims before they strike the victim.

No body can issue you a visa from Canada, even a parent can't get visa for their adult children. You must go through the visa process.
So if he wants to help you, he should send you legitimate job offer that you can verify with Canadian embassy in Lagos.

Please take a few minutes and read about this type of visa promises on the Canadian immigration website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/protection/fraud/internet.asp
yes, thanks for the reply. He said he would speak with a few companies of people he knows and that I would have to go through the normal process for background check.

Thank you all.

I will keep everyone posted.

@Ipain

Ok, at least now we understand that it was sheer ignorance… which really is not an excuse (especially in 2014). Sorry about the perceived insults. A safer approach would’ve been for you to observe first to understand that there is a procedure to follow before “Travelling to Canada” and it’s that procedure we discuss. On a day to day basis on the thread, we refer to links on the CIC website. There’s a simple questionnaire there to determine your own eligibility as your case proves. The idea of a Canadaian or anyone sending you a visa raises suspicion of a scam; only the CIC can approve one for you and if you didn’t know that already, I’m sorry, you really cant blame anyone for that miseducation. Almost any information is out there on the internet… on Google, which is probably your browser homepage. I don’t expect anyone to apologise to you for the harsh responses because anybody with illegal intentions will post that kind of message u posted. But now that I can sense some sort of innocence in your other posts, I guess my conscience is too soft to not give an apology cos I also may have remarked too harshly at your post. A lot of people here have been through a lot and are going through a lot still so this thread could be really sensitive at times. … in other words, Mr/Ms ipain, no be only u dey pain… No vex.

I think you should visit and navigate www.cic.gc.ca. Make it your homepage if possible…

All the best.
okay Thanks. But that url isn't functional. Are you sure you typed it correctly? Lemme google it.

@ipain I'm sorry people came off at you rather harshly...no vex. If you had taken time to go through the thread, you probably may have composed your question way better, without getting hit badly.
As justwise said, Visa can't be transferred like that o else the thread would probably still be in part 1 sef.
Since funds isn't an issue, I'll advise you talk to your friend (I sincerely hope he's legit) about sponsoring you through school cos that's the fastest way for you to get settled legitimately.
okay thanks. I will do so. Let's take it step by step.

I was even asking a friend if Canada accept WES trascript conversion like US does. Does anyone know about that?

I understand and appreciate your concern. No, the person I am dealing with isn't a scammer.

I must confess that he has been very helpful since I knew him. Even the thing that fetch me as much as $500-$1000,though not consistently but it's better, right here in Nigeria, he taught me. Not yahoo yahoo o. Before una pounce on me again.

I am just using a different handle to post this for personal reasons. He is not asking me for a dime.

I will let you all know how things turn out.

Regarding career, I will be back to ask questions. I was here around 2010 looking for info to Canada but when means of raising capital was not possible, I buried the thought. That was when newacca was very active on here and was declined on the basis of health issue.

What do you expect from me when there are no means to get funds and now that someone wants to help? As a matter of fact, I have a half American brother. Same mother both different dad. He isn't willing to help and I don't want to go to him. He didn't grow up here in naija so, he does not know how we relate here. I gave up the thought in 2010 when he said he can't help, not that he does not have the capacity.

Well, I will let you all know how things unfold. We will all learn from this.

No legitimate Nigerian living and working in Canada legally will promise to send you a visa no matter how naive that person is.
This is not a Nigerian I am dealing with both white Canadian who has his own company.

But who knows? We will all learn from this, either good or bad.

If it turns out right, I will let you all know and if it turns out bad, I will let you all know.

However. I understand why you came down hard on me because I remember you made me to understand a few years ago that the biggest CanadaVisa scam Nigeria has ever known emanated from Nairaland.

Yeah, you told me when I said I read it in newspaper a year previously. I am talking about the one where the whole nation gathered at National Theatre Iganmu.

We can be very doubtful and that's fair enough. I have a personal relationship with this person built since 2012.

Well... Let's see how things go. I will keep you all posted.

I am sure with the the above points you would surely see yourself in canny.
Thanks bro. I have just sent him an email to inform him that it's not possible to send visa from Canada to Nigerian and that I would have to apply from here. I also stated that when he is ready, he should get an immigration expert to advice on the best way to do it.

There are things we don't know bro... But sometimes. Knowing too much could also make us saying things that we shouldn't.

@Ipain: From everyone's reaction, you can see you are on the wrong thread. What we do here is assist each other with legitimate info on how to study in Canada. If you say your guy in Canada wants to sponsor you to study in Canada, then, there is hope but with getting you visa, work, etc, you will be on a longgggggggggggggg thing.Try and also google to see the various ways of entering Canada, then, you will understand why some people believe education is more than finishing from school but learning from the real world/life (smile).

couldn't this have been the best way to education one instead of the initail insults? With some already calling me a scammer when I never mentioned anyone to pay for link? Anyway, I understand that in Nigeria, everyone is a scammer. We can't trust anyone.

Thanks all the same.

I will let my friend know that it's not possible to do it that way.

There is a high chance he isn't aware. Abi no b america some people dey think say we still dey dance around na.k.ed for africa and they also think Africa is a country and not continent? It's possible he does not know that it ain't possible to send visa.

What more help do you need? You have an influential friend who can send a visa from Canada to Nigeria and with all the money needed.

All you need now is pick up your visa, book a ticket, pack you stuff and head to the airport, job will be waiting for you in Canada because your friend can make ways even where there is none.

I need to go back to school to study a course called common sense is not actually common.

I will keep you posted how things turn out.

Hello, friend's. My case is likely unusual.

My Canadian friend has agreed to help me come to Canada and also agreed to help me with job by speaking to the right people as he know them.

I studied Petroleum Engineering and finished my NYSC this year in March with no on-job experience yet.

What are my chances of getting a job in Canada? Would I have to go through school all over again to be accepted like it's done in the US, I mean like obtaining an Msc or something?

He said he can send me Visa. He is quite affulent... Yes, a multi millionaire and we have been friends since 2012. Visa and financial support wont be a problem.

People may be wondering how I got connected to such a person from Nigeria and may likely doubt the authenticity of my story. But all I can say is grace of God at work.

So guys, please help with necessary information that would best suit my case. What and what do I have to do?

CC NewAcca Justwise Siga I need your help please.

Marvellous God, Thanks so much. My problem with what you posted is that I finished my OND in 2007 and had serious difficulty to continue as there were delays due to death of my only surviving parent at that time.

Do you feel applying will not affect me based on time of graduating?
Jobs/VacanciesPetroleum Engineering Technology Graduate Seeking Internship With No Pay by ipain(op): 1:21pm On Oct 20, 2014
Hello,

I am a graduate of Petroleum Engineering Technology (HND), Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun. I completed my NYSC this year and as it stand I will be pleased if anyone can help with likely companies where one can garner on the job experience--an internship for at least 6 months to 1 year. This should likely be an oil servicing company, small or big, indigenous.

I understand basic drilling procedures, crude oil production operations, drilling mud preparation as knowledge acquired in school. This will enable me to catch on quickly on whatever task I handle.

During my NYSC, I was appreciated by the principal of my PPA on more than two occasions due to my diligence and active selfless roles that I played in my duties as a good team player in attaining collective corporate goals.

What I am seeking is notable companies that would not mind to take in graduate interns, even if it means I am not paid. I am not seeking big names here (that would be a plus though) but a place where class room knowledge can be transformed into technical solutions. The reason for this is that it will broaden my experience and boost my CV for subsequent job applications in the future and if the company wish to retain my thereafter, I will gladly accept. Also, my OND IT was done at a construction company, which apparently has little to no correlation in my career path. However, that's because I studied Mineral Resources Engineering at OND level.

A careful look at the last Baker Hughes in-takes reveal that virtually all of them had one affiliation or the other in oil coy where they had done their IT.

I could have gone on to start contacting various companies but experience has shown that not many companies take graduate interns and that's why I am seeking your knowledge to know which company do accept such applicant(s). I am willing to undergo test and interviews.

If you have any information that may be of help for this cause, kindly help.
