Pinnick: It’s A Lie, Musa Didn’t Beat His Wife

But meanwhile Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has claimed reports that Super Eagles star Ahmed Musa was invloved in domestic violence are false.

Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa who joined the Premier League champions Leicester City last summer from CSKA Moscow for £16m, was questioned by Leicestershire police in the early hours of Wednesday morning after they were called to a disturbance at his home in Countesthorpe. Musa was later released without charge and his agent has insisted reports of the 24-year-old’s arrest hours after he had wished his wife Jamila happy birthday on Instagram had been exaggerated.

“A row ensued between Musa and Jamila which drew the attention of neighbors and the police were notified,” said Tony Harris, Musa's agent. Harris also said that the police duly spoke with Musa along with a couple of witnesses in the house and have since closed the matter with no further action whatsoever as there is no case to answer. No charges were brought against Musa or his wife.
Musa has not started a Premier League match for Leicester since the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on 5 February having fallen down the pecking order under new manager Craig Shakespeare.

Ex-Nigeria junior international Adekunle Fasasi went into Nigerian and African history books at the 2017 National Collegiate of Athletics Association (NCAA) Indoor Championships at College Station in Texas, USA, running a new 400m indoor best of 45.57 seconds at the semi-final stage of the event, which took place over the weekend.
Fasasi, running in the colours of University of Florida, failed to make his time count in the final as he was disqualified but the 400m bronze medalist at the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia had however made history in the semi-finals where his 45.57 seconds time shot him to second in the African all-time list.
Only compatriot and African record holder, the late Sunday Bada who ran 45.51 seconds to win the IAAF World Indoor Championship 400m gold in Paris, France in 1997, has run faster.
Elsewhere, University of Texas in El Paso’s Tobi Amusan did her best in the women’s 60m hurdles, but she ultimately
finished sixth overall with a time of 8.03 seconds.

Super Eagles of Nigeria and Trabzonspor midfielder Onazi Ogenyi recently had Haemorrhoids surgery in Turkey and it was successful

Although the former Lazio FC midfielder has remained quiet over his recent ailment, the Benue State-born player was advised to undergo an immediate operation to avoid further complications.

The club also confirmed the report by posting the picture of the surgery while wishing the player better times at the club.Haemorrhoids are swollen veins in the lowest part of your rectum and anus. FCBESCOLA Lagos the flagship school of FC Barcelona with Lagos sports Commission commenced its maiden football screening to scout for young footballers who are qualified to enrol for their Full scholarship Elite Program 2016/2017 season teaching Barca values. Registration is still ongoing at the two designated venues ( from age 12-18) Onikan Stadium and Campos Square

Young Boys trooped in to register for the screening in other to prove their football skills and get a full scholarship Elite Program. The registration is also free and started on February 13, 2017.

Head technical director Fcbescola soccer school, Bernert with the other coaches were at the Onikan stadium to monitor the exercise.

Maradona, Messi, Kanu to Play Anti-terrorism Match in Nigeria

Argentina football legends, Diego Amando Maradona and Lionel Messi are among a host of former and active football stars scheduled to play an international exhibition match against human trafficking, insurgency and terrorism. The match is listed for May 21 in Abuja.
The FIFA and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) sanctioned initiative tagged: Africa My Africa is organised by next2none, a non-profit making organisation to use football to promote global security and fight human trafficking.

The novelty match between Africa Stars Vs World Stars will feature household names including Zinedine Zidane, Ruud Gullit, Ronaldinho, George Weah, Samuel Kuffour, Samuel Eto’o, Abedi Pele, Nwankwo Kanu, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Others include; David Beckham, Didier Drogba and a cluster of female footballers such as Sydney Leroux, Asisat Oshoala, Birgit Prinz, Sun Wen, Abby Wanbach, Homare Sawa, Kelly Smith, Marta, Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, Toni Duggan, Anouk Hoogendijk, Nayeli Rangel, Lauren Sesselmann, Julia Simic and Corine Petit.
At a media event to announce the project, Chairman of next2none, Ndukwe Sam Obu said a global initiative uniting all nations was required to combat terrorist activities which have been on the spike over the last decade.
Obu said that radicalisation of the youths into violent extremism was a great concern in Africa, given that approximately 70 per cent of African population are youths.

He said the organisers and other stakeholders including the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and National Agency for Prohibition and Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) sought to arrange the match by leveraging on football which has shown positive impact in bringing peace to different nations and as a tool for reconciliation.
