Bad Officiating from Female Referee Ruins Opening match of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Fans React

The opening match of the 2016/2017 NPFL (Nigeria Professional Football League) season between Kano Pillars and FC Ifeanyi Ubah was abandoned in the 60th minute owing to poor officiating from the center referee Mrs Folusho Ajayi (pictured below). What a way to start a season filled with positivity and high hopes, but would seems to be just a mirror image of LMC's developmental strides towards the growth of Nigeria local league.
The trouble started when FC Ifeanyi Ubah's winger Prince Aggreh (who was a Kano Pillar's player last season) scored from a free-kick at the dying seconds of the first half but the center referee instead of awarding the goal signaled for a half-time even when the linesman made call for a goal.
The question most Nigeria sports and football lovers are asking is why should an opening game of this caliber filled with tension be allowed to be handled by a female referee. Does this implies that she stands out above her experienced male counterparts to officiate a match of this magnitude inside the intimidating and notorious Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano?
In Europe its almost not possible for a woman to officiate in a men's game at both international and domestic football. But to think that a woman can officiate our epileptic and developing league is not just a shame but also slap on the face of football lovers in Nigeria and shows that the good work of the LMC is being jeopardized.
If we feel women are ripe or good enough to handle and officiate in men's game in Nigeria, then why is it that our female league is still in comatose and under developed?

But the truth is that the FC Ifeanyi Ubah's players should have been disciplined enough not to abandon the game. The club should be fined for abandoning a game and the referee should seriously be penalized for poor officiating

Could it be that the Shehu Dikko's led LMC has not got it right when it comes to choosing referee's to handle big games or is their a suspicious conspiracy ?

Ronaldo takes a sly dig at Messi and Barcelona after collecting FIFA's inaugural Best player of the year award

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best men's player at the inaugural Best FIFA Football Awards. It was his success in the two big tournaments (UEFA Champions League Cup and Euro 2016 Cup) of the year that ultimately saw him claim the prize ahead of his rivals

31-year-old couldn't resist a sly dig at Barcelona and arch rival Messi after collecting his trophy on stage and he said: 'I am sorry that some people from Barcelona aren't here with us... but that is understandable'.
He added: 'It's incredible, it's not the first time but it's the first of this. First and foremost I must thank my team-mates of Real Madrid and the coach. Thank you for everything you have done for me. I've also got to thank my family, my brothers, my mum, my whole staff 100 per cent for everything they've given me.
'2016 was the best year of my career. I had a lot of doubts but at the end I think the trophies speak for themselves. I achieved the best I could in the competitions and after I won what I did.'

Messi, who did not attend FIFA's The Best ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland due to Barcelona commitments, and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann were both pipped to the award by the Portugal captain.

There were no Barcelona players at the ceremony in Zurich — they remained in Spain to focus on Copa del Rey game against Athletic Bilbao

Atletico Nacional was given FIFA Fair Play Award for handing Copa Sudamericana title to Chapecoense after tragic plane crash in Colombia.

If you must get a tattoo, get one because YOU love it. Not because you like how it looks on someone else's skin.

Hmmm... If I catch you eeeh

Eden1747:
Yes, I do wear one... And proudly too.
No, I didn't have my body art done for you. So you may not see.

Please nah.... I am crying for you ooo

Maybe it will move me to get one

Eden1747:
http://thisisafrica.me/tribal-marks-the-african-tattoo/
Africans had the first forms of tattoos as tribal marks! We didn't colour them because there was no ink then.
I honestly don't understand people's abhorrence to tattoos... It's by choice!. We should all respect people's choices. Tattoo is art. Either you hang them on your walls or you decide to wear them.

Do you have one on your body?

If yes may I see them or adobilivit

MsDelilah:
You can't donate blood at least 6 months after getting a tattoo.

Depends on how it's done. I've got 6. And all the times I got tattooed, I never bled. The ink never came in contact with my blood. That depends on how your artist does his.

I would love to see your tattoo... maybe it will ginger me to get one on my body

Mikel Obi finally leaves Chelsea signs for Chinese Club Tianjin TEDA, to earn over N54 million per week

It is now Official that John Mikel Obi is the latest player to join the exodus to Chinese Super League as he has signed for Chinese club, CSL Tianjin TEDA, in a £140,000/week deal, following Chelsea teammate Oscar who has signed for another Chinese club Shanghai SIPG earlier.

29-year-old Mikel left Chelsea FC on a free transfer after being relegated to the bench by New coach Antonio Conte who preferred the likes of N'Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic, Nathaniel Chalobah and Cesc Fabregas ahead of him in the pecking order.

Mikel spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge after controversially joining Chelsea, despite appearing at a Manchester United press conference and posing with a United shirt with his name on it. During his time at Chelsea he has 372 appearances and scored only 6 goals with winning the English Premier League, UEFA champions league, FA Cup and the Europa League Cup.

Good luck to him

Iheancho Tweets after scoring again in Manchester City Win but was embarrassed by Yaya Toure over Man Of The Match Mix-up, Fans React

Super Eagles of Nigeria sensational forward Kelechi Iheancho was on the score-sheet for Manchester City again after they had to dig deep to win at 3-0 at Hull City on Boxing day match fixture to maintain number two position on the English Premier League table.

https://twitter.com/67Kelechi/status/813502835811880964

But then came the awkward moment as Toure, who had earlier in the interview mentioned that it was his son's birthday on Christmas Day, was handed the award.

'Oh nice, thank you very much, I will give it to my boy then,' said the Ivorian midfielder.
Iheanacho, however, had presumably not been listening to the heart-warming tale of Toure Jnr telling his father he was destined to score a Boxing Day goal, and assumed that 'my boy' was simply a term of endearment for Toure Snr's Nigerian team-mate.

But after the game there was a little mix-up between 20-year-old Iheanacho and 33-year-old Ivory Coast Yaya Toure during the post-match interview over Man Of The Match award which resulted in Toure to slap Iheanacho's hand away shouting, 'No, it's not you, my boy!',

https://twitter.com/SkyFootball/status/813470752934543360

Iheanacho looked rather embarrassed as his team-mate snubbed his attempt to get the award but laughed it off.

Manchester City will face a stiffer opponent Liverpool in their next league match

Popular Facebook User and Social Activist Alhaji Ahmed Zikki distributes 5000 Naira each To Street Hawkers and Sellers as Christmas Gift, Fans Commends and Applaud Him

Not so much is known about Social Activist Alhaji Ahmed Zikki (aka Arab Money) but I think he deserves to be commended for at least his kindness, courage and determination to remember helping the poor this festive season. According to his Facebook profile, It says he is a student of DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY studying ECONOMICS. His hobbies are Football(winger 7) and DANCING & CHATTING, LUV making friends

I know some people will still hate, but at least if there are 1,000 people like Social Activist Alhaji Ahmed Zikki in Nigeria, things will be to improve a bit.

We don't deserve to suffer as Nigerians but I think we are so much enslaved by our greedy politicians. The youths must be ready to defend their future (not violently) through coming all out in various social media platforms to speak against Social vices as regard our welfare especially in politics.

In Africa alone, over 70% of the populations are youth who fall between the age of 14 to 21 years according to World Bank UNICEF. All ten of the world’s youngest countries are in Africa. Africa will have the second largest population of the world by 2050

https://web.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1420913611287396&set=pcb.1420939061284851&type=3&theater

So I ask, Is Africa's youth a “ticking time bomb” or an opportunity?

This post won't be pointing out any tip on how to get google adsense approval but it's just to encourage fellas....(you can check here for tips>>https://www.nairaland.com/2438717/goodnews-adsense-applicantsget-adsense-approved#35659311>

On the 18th of March, i lost $4500+ to google(For invalid activity according to them) I was shattered spirit, soul and body. I felt like my whole blogging career had crumbled.

After a week of being really low in spirit, i had the zeal to get back into business asap but my lazy and discouraged mind wouldn't let me.
I resorted to looking for an Adsense account to purchase, just to save myself the stress of writing new articles and applying for "Nigerian google Adsense" again.

However, this did not go down well as i was scammed over #75,000 and even lost some more money to some miscellaneous expenses.
I finally gave up the thought of buying and decided to get approved no matter what effort it'll cost. (obviously i had no option cos i was officially broke)

I got a new domain, and started writing and in less than 2 weeks, i was approved.

If you are an upcoming blogger and really want to earn via google(obviously the best at the moment), and you haven't been approved, don't give up. Keep the fight on and don't relent. Sometimes, you are only a step away from your success.

I am In a relationship (with google)

please I have a Google Adsense account that I created with my youtube. Can you please help me with tips on how to link it with my blog so that i can display adverts on my blog....

Thanks I really enjoyed all your posts here
