FC Ifeanyi Ubah is worse than Ghana's Hearts of Oak- By sacked Japanese Coach


Ex-Hearts coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has launched a sensational attack on Ifeanyi Ubah, labeling the Nigerian side worse than his former club.

The 46-year-old left his post after just one month in charge over disagreement with the club's top hierarchy. The Japanese trainer accused the management of interfering with player selection and felt he was being undermined.

And the American trained tactician has lashed out at the club for the turn of event.

According to him: "When I joined the club there were massive interferences by the management with regards to player selections which brought about disagreements at meetings and I was almost hit by one of the people around who claimed to be a former player
of Parma," Kenichi said.

"I still chose to resist some directives like training twice a day because we only had two weeks to prepare and it resulted into different issues. The players would've broken down if I had complied.

"Salaries were cut off, promises made to me and the team were never delivered. Also there were lies through the local media and few of the fans that I'm very bad and rude because I objected their autocratic ways. Chukwuma D. Ubah, chairman of the club verbally asked me to leave after our second match in the 2016 NPFL Super 4 tournament, and I agreed to leave. He thought I would resist and probably beg to stay but that is not me. Honestly, these people are worse than Hearts of Oak.

"According to Chukwuma, my contract had not started yet because it was stipulated that it will begin when the league kicks off and my future will then be decided on the performance of the club. I did not utter anything to him, but even with this, they refused to buy me a ticket back to Japan until I threatened to send them to Fifa for damages," he added.

"It was reported by some media outlets that the players complained that my training style was too physical and my tactics were poor but that wasn't the issue. Rather, that was what the management wanted the supporters to believe and gave such news to some people. In fact, the key players who were with the club last season told me that they believe they will stand a better chance to win the league and Confederation Cup since fitness is very key. I encountered same at Hearts but after five matches, we were at the top of the log and the same people started praising me." He lamented.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah has since announced his assistant Ghanaian Yaw Preko as the interim manager of the team pending the time that new manager will be appointed.

The pre-season preparation for the Port-Harcourt based Nigerian club is getting better as the players seems to be in a happy mood after they arrived Madrid in Spain for the final
phase of the preparation before the Nigeria Professional Football League kicks-off. The club won the just concluded NPFL Super 4 2016 Tournament after they defeated Wikki Tourist 1-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

With the way the club is going, I see them as serious title contenders for next season after they finished just as runners-up last season.

Tanzanian Player Collapses and Dies on the Pitch After Scoring a Goal

Tanzanian football club, Mbao FC U-20 player, Ismail Mrisho Khalfan collapsed on the pitch and died while his team was playing against Mwadui FC in the Vodacom U-20 league on Sunday at the Kaitaba stadium in Bukoba, Tanzania.

TFF President, Jamal Malizni told supersport.com, “I regret to announce the sudden death of Ismail Mrisho.He collapsed on the pitch during an U20 league match today .He was a Mbao FC player and the game was between his team and Mwadui U20.The TFF Medical team is following up this sad event very closely.

"May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace.”

The player will be buried on Monday according to Islamic rites.

Kaitaba Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Bukoba, Tanzania. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by Kagera Sugar of the Tanzanian Premier League. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.

Desire Oparonozie's strike in the 86th was the difference as the Falcons edge their opponent right at their very own backyard. Oparanozie, who netted the winner in the semi-final victory over South Africa four days earlier in Limbe, again lived up to expectations to silence the deafening home crowd that filled every inch of space at the 40,000 capacity stadium who were rooting for the side.

It was the third time after 2004 and 2014 that Nigeria had beaten Cameroon in the final and it further cements the Super Falcons’ status as the most dominant side in women’s football after previous triumphs in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014.

With the victory, Nigeria have emerged African champions eight time (although having won two already but because it was first contested in 1991, and was not held biennially until 1998)
And coach Florence Omagbemi makes history as the first person to win the continental championship both as a player and coach.

Asisat Oshoala won the Africa Women Cup of Nations’ Golden Boot as Nigeria beat Cameroon in Saturday’s final. The striker finished the tournament with six goals, three clear of Oparanozie and Ghana’s Elizabeth Addo.

The Arsenal forward becomes the fourth Nigerian after Mercy Akide, Perpetua Nkwocha and Oparanozie to finish as the tournament’s top goalscorer.

Apollo the 5-month-old pit bull puppy is getting extra hugs today, after saving his owner’s girlfriend from a terrifying attack.

According to the New York Post, 18-year-old Maya Fairweather was visiting her boyfriend, Carlos Guzman, at his apartment in the Red Hook neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday night. Around 10 p.m., the teen decided to take Guzman’s puppy, Apollo, for a walk.

Once she reached a nearby park, Fairweather let the pit bull off his leash so he could run around on the grass, while she watched on listening to music through her headphones.

“I felt someone pull my headphones,” she told NY Post. “I thought it was my boyfriend grabbing me, so I turned around and smiled — but it wasn’t my boyfriend.”

Instead in was an unfamiliar man, who started attacking Fairweather, pushing her to the ground and tearing at her pants. After struggling with the attacker for a few moments, the teen was saved by her protective pup companion. Apollo raced to the scene and latched on to the attacker’s leg.

The puppy bit down so hard, the stranger was forced to take his attention off Fariweather to try to shake the dog off. The girl used the moment of distraction to run across the street and escape. Eventually, Apollo released the attacker, who fled from the scene.

“He was protective,” Fairweather said about the dog’s heroic deed. “I think it would’ve been a lot worse. I wouldn’t have been so lucky.”

After the incident, Fariweather and Apollo, who was not harmed during the encounter, returned to Guzman’s apartment. Guzman’s sister took Fairweather to a local police station to report the attack. Authorities are now searching for the man.

Fairweather is understandably grateful for the role Apollo played in her escape, but is surprised the usually tame canine came to her rescue.

“He is a sweet dog. I never thought he would bite anyone. He never bit anyone before. He’s usually very friendly and just jumps on everyone,” she said.

See this Ancient Mummy with the oldest case of heart disease preserved for over 2,100 years (PHOTOS)

This Chinese woman has been preserved for over 2,100 years and she’s baffled scientists. Called the Lady of Dai, she’s considered the best-preserved mummy ever discovered.

Her skin is soft, her arms and legs can bend, her internal organs are intact, and she still has her own Type-A blood, hair and eyelashes. The Lady of Dai, also known as Xin Zhui, lived during the Han dynasty (206 BCE – 220 AD) and was the wife of the Marquis of Dai. Her tomb was discovered inside a hill known as Mawangdui, in Changsha, Hunan, China, in 1971 when workers were digging an air raid shelter.

According to an autopsy, Xin Zhui was overweight, suffered from back pain, high blood pressure, clogged arteries, liver disease, gallstones, diabetes and had a severely damaged heart. She passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 50 and experts have put it down to her lavish lifestyle as a marquis. Xin Zhui has even been nicknamed “The Diva Mummy” because of her apparent life of luxury.

It has led scientists to believe she is the oldest case of heart disease.

Amazingly, forensic archaeologists have deduced that Xin Zhui’s last meal was a serving of melons.

In her tomb, which was buried 40 feet underground, she had a wardrobe containing 100 silk garments, 182 pieces of expensive lacquerware, makeup and toiletries.

She also had 162 carved wooden figurines representing servants in her tomb.

According to records, Xin Zhui’s body was swaddled in 20 layers of silk, immersed in a mildly acidic liquid and sealed within four coffins. This vault of coffins was then packed with 5 tons of charcoal and sealed with clay. The tomb was made watertight and airtight so bacteria wouldn’t be able to thrive — but it remains a scientific mystery just how the body was preserved so well.

There are lots of unanswered questions, and despite the Egyptians being the most well-known for their mummies, the Chinese were arguably the most successful at it. The ancient Chinese method of preservation was not as invasive as that of the Egyptians, who removed many of the internal organs from their dead for separate preservation.

For now, Xin Zhui’s incredible preservation remains a mystery.
