wildchild1:Yea, understandable. However, I'm sure you'll agree, to an extent atleast, that a fall which can cause such an issue of this magnitude should atleast leave a suspicious mark or dent on the phone's body --- which Danny has said is non existent. As for potential water damage, I cannot comment on that since i don't use an iPhone, ( prefer Samsung) as result I'm not conversant with the peculiarities & behavior of water damaged iPhone devices. But let's even forget about that. On XDA developers for example -- the home of phone tweaks, modding, etc --- the FIRST thing a developer asks for if users are having issues with running his modified software or app on thier devices is to send the crash logs. As a matter of fact, it's such a powerful unwritten rule that almost no senior developer would reply you if you report an issue without submitting the log report. That same log report -- or analytics in this case -- is what Danny has provided. Manufacturers have this on thier devices to save them wild guesses & accurately pinpoint a problem. This is why when new phones are released & a particular issue or bug is widely reported, Samsung or apple can quickly release an update that fixes them all if it's fixable. It's unfortunate that this seems unfixable, according to Danny's research. The analytics data has shown what the problem is, and the phone behavior is even consistent with how the problem is supposed to make the phone behave. I understand that nobody wants to lose as it's very painful, or to be played, but if you consider the depth of evidence & consistency provided by Danny so far, you'll see that's probably not the case here and all that's left is for you guys to come to an agreement in private. It is well. |
My believe has always been that take any complex problem, keep asking enough Whys & in no time the solution will present itself in its simplest form. If the problem involves humans, look for motive & gbam. If you take that same approach to this case, you'll find that though it looks complex & tricky, it's actually VERY SIMPLE if you break it down. Danny's motive for wanting a refund/settlement is because he's 100% SURE of the cause of the problem ---- manufacturer's fault. And the same problem even surrendered itself in the phone analytics log to save him the many guesses on what could be the problem. Wildchild's motive, on the other hand, is because he's not 100 sure if the problem is manufacturer's fault. He has doubts, and believes that the problem might also be caused by mishandling. And if it can be proven that this problem is 100% caused by manufacturer's fault like Danny has used the analytics data to show --- wildhchild will accept settlement or whatever agreement they both reach. Dannybrasky, am i correct on your motive? Wildchild, am i also correct on your motive? |
Morning my brothers & sisters.. Remember this thread?https://www.nairaland.com/5754537/dispute-statistics-thread-dear-buyer I paused it at the time after making some observations. However, a part of me feels like now might be the right time to move it forward I guess. I feel it might also be another strong move in our ongoing efforts to further cement the integrity of this community & show our willingness to protect everybody that does business here ---- both buyers & sellers. With everyone's permission & agreement, it can come to life. However pls note: you guys must also agree if the thread should include dispute statistics of every case we've had on this dispute thread from page 1.. or it should be for only cases moving forward from now.. That choice belongs to the house. My work is just finish that which the master has sent me. |
In a time where lots of dissatisfying complaints have flooded our ecosystem by angry TLC buyers --- who have every right to be pissed, and I strongly sympathize with them---- I feel it is also pertinent we continue to highlight the other ones that go well. Maybe that way we can cast a little light over the shadow, as we collectively work together with integrity towards going back to the times when you don't hold your breath before paying for TLC deals. It is well. Anyways..... TLC items bought for my clients from Aywhy, Rakitic & twinskenny all arrived, and in pristine conditions. It is well. |
I don't even know which is more distributing: the fact that this case was even brought here in the first place--- whose verdict was clear as daylight right from the very beginning. Or the fact that this is just all it takes to ruin a 3 year old good working relationship. This is scary. Worse of all, the relationship was described as a "mentor to son" relationship. This is even makes it more disappointing. All I see in this case is intimidation & power play. Mentor is shocked at son's audacity to not bend-the-knee. Same way son was shocked at mentor's handling of what shouldn't even be a case in the first place. A part of me wonders if we'll even be having this conversation in the first place if mentor bought the phone from an equally big fish in this business, who isn't a "small boy" he can flog(like the image was painted). Let me ask: so what would have happened if after Mc paid for this item, then makes arrangement to collect the next day, but emmafe tells him that item has been sold to someone else? Will Mc take that? Simply no!! Why? Because the ITEM NOW BELONGS TO HIM. It no longer belonged to emmafe after agreement & payment was made. Or are we going to pretend that's not how it works? Is it not for this same reason people who pay for TLC, only for seller to sell to someone else come here to drag them? We can even go further & ask how the buyer that's causing the confusion will react if Mc tells her that though she has paid for the item, his wife doesn't want him to sell again. Yet despite knowing all this, Mc tried to threaten emmafe into a forceful & hostile refund (when item hasn't proven to be defective). If someone wants to refund you based on understanding & respect for past history, then fine. However, you cannot bully & emotionally blackmail them into it cos you feel the medium through which God has blessed you also puts food on thier table. That's not fair!! Why would you transfer aggression & energy you should have dissipated on the customer who played games with you, on the boy you described as "son" & "younger brother" who was nothing but honest with you? Mc, in the begining of your complaint, you said and I quote: "I got one from this my brother which he said the deal belongs to someone elses well not my business as long as item is in good condition as I know lots of us hustle that way" If it's not your business where item is sourced from, then why should it be emmafes business who you bought item for? Afterall, he sold to you, not the unknown customer. He doesn't know the customer, doesn't have any transaction or binding agreement with the customer. All he knows is you bought an item from him & item is in good working condition like you wanted it to. Also, in your post, there was also the part where you sighed "women don come again!!" when she called. Is that not you admitting that it can be difficult atimes doing business with some women buyers (due to several reasons)? Is that not an admission to the fact that it was the sole reason for your failed transaction? So,why then, were you being hostile to emmafe? I honestly don't know what you were expecting when you brought this case here, but I'll just assume it was borne out of the curiosity to understand the situation & the need for a non-bias resolution --- which I'm glad has been served so far by majority. We all learn everyday. And I'm glad you have. You can even add it as a case-study next time when advising jumia & konga staffs on how to run a business. It is well. |

First Sale Report Lexington//Recycling//king Sales venue: Epik Hold time: 3 months After procrastinating for a very long time concerning starting this journey, the unbearable growing need for finances made me register my first set of domains this last December. They didn't sell after months, neither did any of my outbound get a single reply to soothe the open wound lol. However, I still continued to register one or two names anytime i had spare cash, because i realised early that one of the beauty of domaining is the glorious mismatch between investment & return. It has this very low risk factor where one sale can take care of other multiple unsold names. I understood this very early, and always reminded myself of it anytime i saw a name i felt was good but didn't want to register it JUST BECAUSE my other few names haven't sold. I was ready to do my part by registering names i felt were up to acceptable standards, then fold my arms & play the waiting game. If i dont sell this year, I'll sell next year. Or the one after that. I didn't allow myself get emotional about the current lack of sales. I mean, why get emotional? That's how Investments work. While registering this name in march(xpired domains) i didn't see much end users for it but i felt strongly about the name. Four days later, I lazily outbounded to about 10 end users after procrastinating for days. It was during this period i discovered geo domains is not for me & shifted focus. The mere thought of outbounding alone gives me serious headache. None of the end users replied as usual. lol . So yesterday i was checking my mail and out of curiosity decided to check the promotions tab and saw it. The name sold 7 hours earlier and i didn't even know. I was pleasantly surprised. It was listed for $750 on epik(didn't list anywhere else). The buyer who i don't know(since none of my outbound was replied) paid the $750...... I received $682.something after epik commission. I created a Quidax account. Sent it from my Epik masterbucks to btc wallet, and initiated withdrawal to my bank account. The naira rate was around 446. Thank you Iykepromotions for your selflessness, and the many others who have been the steam engine of this thread. We are in an age where information is not just power but a god!! As you guys continue to selflessly share, may the right, life-changing information you need in other areas of life be shared with you too, by those who hold them. |
