You just made a fool of yourself in a public platform like this. Do you know the rules of logic? Didn't they teach you that for one to have a good argument, the premises must support the conclusion? So your reasoning(premise) that 'most atheists' believe the big bang theory formed your conclusion that it requires more faith to be an atheist? And again, you used the adjective 'most' to generalize about all the atheists. Assuming, without conceding, that it requires faith to be an atheist, the statement will still be wrong if its validity is anchored on the premise that 'most' atheists believe the big bang theory alone.
Let me enlighten you on the articles of faith. Articles of faith are found in all religious ideologies in the world. It simply tell you to believe that God this, God did that without subjecting those claims to an empirical analysis. Our christian brothers and sisters believe that God created the world in 7 days. There is no scientific proof for this. The articles of faith simply tell you to believe the story. And that's all. Now you can't subject same 'belief' thing to the way an atheist thinks. He follows scientific reasoning in his everyday activities. Atheists don't believe the big bang theory. There is nothing to belief here because it is fact. Whether or not you believe a fact it won't change anything. It will still be a fact.
An atheist whole point is not that there is no God. It goes much further than this. Even if there is a God, what kind of God is he? A God that can punish innocent generations for the sins of their fathers and mothers. A God that hated Essau and Jacob for no reason. A God that put 'the forbidden fruit' in the Garden of Eden knowing that Adam and Eve will taste it. That God is certainly very very bad. We take solace on the fact that he doesn't exist.
