olukenzo: The bold reminds of the question in the visa application. I plan on letting a place only after my visa has been issued. Someone advised I use my school's address...hostel address or pg office address?
How did you handle this question? Now I think I made a mistake lol! I hope it doesn't cause any problem for me. On my form I wrote my school Addy as the place I will stay but during the interview I said I will stay in an apartment called Madison court that I have made and arrangement for that. @justwise and @spike please advise. |

Name and Dob: Course starte date: Why the course: Why Uk: Where I would stay in the Uk: How will I commute to the school: Where did I hear about the school: When did I apply: When did I get my offer and when I paid:
That was all and I applied in Abj.

@pato I did my TB test today and got the result by 5pm today. I think the idea behind this is just to make money for these British guys. I honestly do not see the need. I'm applying by Wednesday also in Abuja. |

HI all,
Time difference don finish me. I submitted my visa form online with the hope the date was 25th I forgot UK is 1hr behind us. My intention was to print the form and my bank statement today being 25th and also Oando exchange rate. Now literally it means I submitted the form on 24th and now can I print the bank statement and the exchange rate today 25th. Is this a big problem? |

Im a bit confused now. I dont know if I should go ahead and choose an appointment date like 3-4days after Tb test. I reside in PHC and thinking about how to do this. I dont know If I should reschedule my TB date to next week and after that apply for a visa. This will cost me going to ABJ 2 times....... Just thinking if I should just take the risk..... |

constance234: Depends on the availability of interview date, december is always tight cos that's the last month for students resuming january to submit the application, since your 28th days completes on the 27th,fill the form and submit on that day and try to book appointment, you should get the date you want. Thanks |

constance234: Yes you are on the right track as per the application date showing, its showing the date you started filling the form.why don't you do your tb test now?it lasts 6 months so no worries, its better,so you have ample time before application,if you still want to have test done 1st then you can submit application afterwards,2nd,3rd,4th any date that suits you. Thanks a lot. Can I submit today and get an appointment the next day? |

spikesC: Most schools allow you to pay with your debit card online or via phone. Just ask them The money gets converted with CBN exchange rate and no charges apply.
If your school does not allow card payments, go to your bank and tell them you need to pay school fees in the UK. There's a new procedure for that now. Thanks I will ask my school (Salford). Please is our normal master card a debit card? |

I want to create a new pounds account and then fund it and transfer. Can my school charge my card? or is there any other way? banks here dont bid anymore apart from BDC's.... |

@spikesc @justwise and @all. I have about 27,000 pounds in my savings account which is about 7million Naira. My tuition fee is 11,700 pounds and I want to pay from this account. I want to transfer about 3million naira to my exchanger's account to buy pounds. I'm a bit worried if this could raise a red flag in my statement if I make this withdrawal should I source for other money else where and pay ma tuition fee? |

@all, I'm very grateful for all yours answers. I feel more confident and guided. Please I have another question. My school fees and maintenance fees are in one account and I have started counting from 3rd of November so as to meet up with the 28days rule. I want to pay ma tuition fees in full from the same amount. Is this ok? Also I have some money fixed in another bank which is a little bit above ma maintenance money and tuition fee and it is fixed in my name for sometime now tho it dropped and I re-fixed it on the 3rd of November too. Is it wise to add all these funds while applying for a visa? Is the money not so big for a student (tho I have my own registered business and family business). Thanks |

pato231: When you applied you submitted your academic qualifications online right, they sure will have assessed you based on the qualification you filled you have and submitted.Yes you have to make some deposit of your fees to guarantee your place and receive your CAS which is needed in applying for the visa.My CAS was issued same day the university confirmed payment, but i think it varies, but should be maximum 5 days,i paid my full fees, and i know lots of people here who also did,it all depends on you but either way ensure you have the remaining fees plus maintenance money in your bank account if you pay only the 4400 pounds deposit. Thanks Bro. Does making full payment count? Because logically I think it gives an upper hand, just ma view oh! |

@all, I applied for MSC management @ Salford Uni on Sunday 2nd November and they gave me a conditional admission on Tuesday 4th November. I'm a bit worried about how fast the process went and if they really accessed my application effectively. I was informed to pay 4400 British pounds to make my offer unconditional and to get ma CAS. Please is this really how long it takes? How long does it take for one to get CAS after payment? Is it advisable to pay the full tuition fee?. Thanks |

odehbrainard: @spike when I told ECO that my sister was given info about the school by her friend when my sister visited london, she then asked me if my sister schooled in london,i said "NO"cause she just went on holidays, besides my school is a highly regarded sponsor, you can check on their status on home office's website(capitalcollege),go through the third paragraph you could very much see she wasn't making sense there as it doesn't even relate to any of the points, she was talking about my mum. Sorry about your situation but you look like a difficult person. I understand how you feel right now. Please have in mind that they can deny on their own basis. |

justwise: Company's bank statement acts as tie to your home country, the money in it is not for the trip, your trip budget comes from the personal account. Oh thanks a lot! What if someone has buildings and lands can the coy bank account be optional? Because in my own case my company bank account is not really flowing ie I don't use it often just has a little amount in it for sometime. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by ironbender101(m): 8:45am On Oct 10, 2014 |
justwise: You need to be able to sponsor yourself as an adult, you have to submit your business and personal account, you also need to submit tax certificate and your business registration papers. You can book hote or use IV, it does not really matter @Justwise, I think it's better to submit only personal account because u can't really use company funds to travel because if it's a Ltd he's not the only share holder thereby making him not the only owner the company. I'm not sure I'm just tho I just wanna be cleared too. If he wants to use company account, the board of directors need to have a MOU to state that they are aware of he's travel and also state the amount he would us. Not sure oooooooo, I stand to be corrected. |

Pls I know I'm asking too many unnecessary questions.... |

Vicjustice: Do what is right for the legalization and the taxation of the company. You registered the company in 2012? Therefore, it should have 2 years of taxation record. Without this compliance, I don't see how you can get a visa with it. My recommendation is, go and pay your arrear taxes, and apply next year after you have paid the 2015 tax in time. If you go and pay the 2 years arrears and then applied for a visa, the Visa Officer would observe the date that the taxes were paid and understand that your company does not normally pay its taxes, and that you only made the payment for the purpose of the visa application, and that would mean REFUSAL. Wow Bro thanks so much. I really need to visit UK this December... Can I pay and it will be back dated? Or can I pay and apply by December? |
