A young lady has taken to social media to call out her online boyfriend after he allegedly denied responsibility for her pregnancy.

According to her, she had been in an online relationship with the man for some time before traveling to Benin, Nigeria, to visit him in the second week of November. She claimed to have spent over a month with him before returning to Lagos on December 31st.

A statement from Pretoria came after Trump, on Sunday, threatened to cut future funding to South Africa over alleged land confiscation and the mistreatment of "certain classes of people."

“Preliminary investigations revealed a disturbing pattern of deception and violence. The victim had checked into the hotel a day earlier, on January 30, 2025, at about 7:00 AM, in the company of a man who identified himself as Emmanuel Okoro from Lagos State.

“However, during police questioning, the victim disclosed that she had met the suspect online, where he introduced himself under the alias Michael Prince, claiming to be an oil company employee based in Delta State. Initially, he invited her to Delta, but after she declined, they agreed to meet in Abuja.

“Tragically, what was meant to be an innocent meeting turned into a harrowing ordeal. The suspect allegedly brandished a dagger, using it to threaten and subdue the victim before restraining her by tying her hands and legs and taping her mouth shut inside the bathroom. He then fled the scene, stealing her two mobile phones.

“Alarmingly, before escaping, the victim overheard him speaking to suspected accomplices over the phone, informing them that he was on his way to regroup before returning to the hotel to “finish the job.”

“Recognising the gravity of this heinous act, the FCT Police Command has launched a full-scale manhunt for the suspect and is working tirelessly to ensure his immediate arrest. The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Olatunji Disu, psc, strongly condemns this act of violence and urges residents—especially young women—to exercise caution when meeting individuals they do not know personally.

Amanda Azubuike was born in London, United Kingdom, to Nigerian parents of Igbo descent and a Zimbabwean mother. Her military journey began when her mother relocated to the U.S. with two children, Amanda, and her sister after her marriage fell apart. She became a US citizen in April 1989.

Academic Excellence
With the aim to join the US Air Force, Azubuike joined the Air Force Junior ROTC, an organization that provides citizenship training and an aerospace science program for high school students at age 17 during her days at Jacksonville High School.

She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Communications in December 1993 and joined the Army in 1994 as an aviator after graduating from the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course. A year later, Azubuike graduated from flight school as a UH-1 pilot and began her military career at Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia as a platoon leader with the 924th Aviation Support Battalion.

Amanda bagged her Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
