BetaThings: You have managed to substitute propaganda for facts Anyway a religion found on murder of the innocent for a sin that could have been forgiven holds no surprise
More lives have been taken in the pursuit of christianity than any other religion - fact Wars or religion, doctrine of necessity, NLFT in India etc google them and know the truth
Islam got to this country before Christianity The SW is perhaps the most peaceful place in Nigeria So are they not preaching hate in the mosques there according to you? In 2003, Sarah Palin called the Iraqi war a mission from God - that is an act of love? American evangelists arrived in large numbers following the invasion A lot of American soldiers went round mocking Prophett Muhammed (SAW) and muslims who protested were murdered
Please can you go near mosques and record their sermons and post it to show the "hate" messages I will do the same at your "destroy by fire!, destroy be fire!!" crusades so that we can banish the propaganda
So Christians now believe that h.0.m.0.intimacy.u.al.i.ty is not a sin? So abortion is no longer a sin? Christians no longer fight wars? So the Bible is now being reviewed by men and is no longer the work of inspiration? Look, Christianity has become a stopover on the journey to atheism Your argument is neither here nor there. |

aboto49: pls can u show me all d text u ar refering to den I will show you wat is in ur bible. Christians process what is in the bible different than the way Moslems assimilate what is written in the Koran. Moslems believe everything in the Koran came directly from Mohammed and very legit if acted upon and if you as much as even accidentally drive over a Koran, you can be killed. This is pure craziness. So you see, if the Koran says kill the infidels, for a Moslem it is God's will and order and a religious duty to do and will kill without any qualms. The hatred in the hearts of Moslems( of course not all) around the world is thought and preached in the mosques. None of these happens in 2015 in Christianity. Islam is a religion of the 7th century and should have remained there. |

Anyone who understands the statement better should pls clarify us on what they meant..
May God help this nation. It means Nigeria is on their radar and should be concerned. They certainly have an eye on Nigeria and I believe they see it as a gateway to establishing their caliphate in West Africa. Nigeria must see Boko Haram who have pledged allegiance to ISIS as a very serious threat to it's survival as a nation. It must see the fighting of BH as a major project and invest in it heavily, anything else will be regrettable. |

Travel › Re: 10 Things Nigerians Are Doing Better Than Other Africans by Ironi: 1:33am On Apr 20, 2015 |
wallflower: Nigeria, “the giant of Africa” may be far from perfect but there are certain things we do much better than other Africans. Even though, these are facts, the reality on the ground is that Nigeria is way ahead of some African countries. With our pulsating entertainment scene and the economy growth – ( Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa ), we can make a case for ‘African exceptionalism”. Although, Nigeria is confronting some major challenges, we are still standing out in Africa. There is something special about Nigerians that you can hardly miss; it is just difficult to ignore us because we are full of life and drama at the same time.
Below are 10 things Nigerians are doing better than other Africans:
1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Nigerians have good business culture. We are accustomed to developing with new business ideas, creating small and large business organizations, from technology to entertainment. We bring in diverse perspectives to Nigerian business methods, we know how to interact and connect with investors and business partners within and outside Nigeria, as we position ourselves for greater success. No wonder, the country is the economic power-house in Africa; it is a base for business innovation and distinction.
2. WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Nigerians work hard, and play hard. If you are looking for people who work so hard and never feel the pain, talk about Nigerians. The beautiful thing about us ––we are smart. We know how to work effectively and get great results through short cuts. You must have heard a lot of myths about Nigerians, some of these stories are true when it comes to cutting corners. We like to hustle and wrestle our ways to success.
3. LIVING LIFE TO IT'S FULLEST
Even as the ancient may have retained its grip over the lives of Nigerians in terms of culture and tradition, many have embraced the future, maintaining a laissez-faire attitude toward living life to its fullest. Nigerians understand that life is to be lived once and they get crazy with gadgets, cars, partying and socializing. The fun never ends even during funeral services.
4. EXCITING ENTERTAINMENT SCENE - BEST IN AFRICA
Nigerians are good in producing the finest movies in Africa. According to Wikipedia, “Nollywood is the second largest film industry in the world” and of course, the largest in Africa. Gone are the days when Nigerians make movies that do not make sense in quality and storyline. Some of the current movies that are produced by Nigerians can compete with some Hollywood movies even though most of these movies may not compete favourable in budget and spending but they are just amazing.
5. NIGERIANS CREATE WEALTH FROM MUNDANE THINGS
There is hardly a niche in the world where a Nigerian does not have power and influence. The quest to be the best has always been the backbone of our successful story. A lot of Nigerians started their stories from nothing and ended up as gurus in different industries. We strongly believe in the slogan ‘No condition is permanent’ – We go make am one day!
6. WE LOVE COLLECTIBLES -WE KNOW HOW IT WORKS
Maybe you have not heard that some Nigerians are buying some of the most costly buildings on the world’s most expensive street in London -Edgerton Crescent. It is not only in London that this love for luxury properties can be seen. Nigerians love showing off and buying these expensive properties around the world is simply one of the ways of expressing this lifestyle. With all the education, hard work, risk taking and smart investing, Nigerians love to live large and enjoy the finer things in life. Spend it if you’ve got it!
7. REAL SURVIVORS
We are everywhere, from London to New York. You can see us on the streets of New York struggling to sell CDs to make sure that we send money home. There is hardly a harsh economic terrain in the world where a Nigerian cannot survive. It is one trait that makes us exceptional in Africa.
8. LITERARY GEMS
Should we start calling names? Nigerians have a lot of writers since the days of Chinua Achebe who made a landmark in the literary world. Nigerians have gifted hands like Wole Soyinka, Chika Unigwe, Chimamanda Adichie and Helon Habila who are making waves around the world. It is not that there no other African writers who are doing great, there are so many but sure Nigerians does the literary thing better. Not to forget the new trend of blogging. (We no dey carry last!)
9. WE MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
Foreigners and other Africans give the thumbs up to Nigerians for always transforming dull and boring scenes to exciting ones. There is this thing about Nigerians that give them the ability to make things happen. From music, comedy to fashion, even our sense of humour is unique and that is why we are so different. Little wonder, thousands visit Nigeria during vacations or festivals to see and enjoy our exciting events and activities.
10. NIGERIANS TAKE THEIR DEMANDS TO THE STREETS
There is nothing that Nigerians would not protest these days, it is either they are fighting for the government to increase their salaries, demand for justice or cut down the fuel pump price. These protests always put our issues on the political agenda. The streets and the internet has become our warfronts and the pages of blogs are where we lash out their anger on anything displeasing. Nigerians have perfected the act of going for protest and they are never too shy to go public with their grievances.
You can see why we say that Nigerians can do certain things better than other Africans, the list is inconclusive and we would leave you to add to the list with your comments.
www.travelstart.com.ng/blog/10-things-nigerians-are-doing-better-than-other-africans/ I don't think so. When you have a population like rabbits you are certainly bound to have a sizeable number of people out of the mass morons do well and shine the light on the country. Big deal. However, if you do the Maths by the ratios of population and the so-called distinct qualities I bet Nigeria will be at the bottom of the barrel. Example, if Nigeria a population of 180m has 2 Nobel price winners and a country of 10m has 1 Nobel price winner, which country is great as you are trying to make us believe. Btw, You are blowing your horns and ignoring the fact that Nigeria is simply lucky to be endowed with some natural resources which other African countries don't have and has made Nigeria what it is today so don't let it get into your heads. Nigerians are in no way better than any other Africans. The qualities which makes Nigerian different is nothing to write home about. |
Family › Re: Girls Who Cohabited In The University Do Not Deserve Bride Price!!! by Ironi: 7:49pm On Apr 12, 2015 |
Rapmoney: I often wonder where Nigerian youths copied this nonsense from because even students in universities in America, Asia and Europe do not engage in this trashy act as we do over here!!! Yet, we still call them agents of immorality?
I just feel, deep within my heart, that girls who cohabit or cohabited in the university do not desrve any dime as bride price paid on them! They should just follow their would-be husband to his house, free of charge and continue where they stopped in school!
A girl cohabits with a guy for 4 to 5 years in school; this means the dude would bleep her through out those years (free of charge o!), she would perform wifely duties for him...cooking, cleaning, washing, providing emotional wifely support, etc (free of charge too o!). Now, what's still left in such a body? If she can bleep a dude for years without any dime paid on her, coupled with the numerous wifely duties, then what's the need of paying a dime on her as diary or bride price? If that bloke that bleeped her for years didn't pay a dime on her where families would meet, eat and drink and pray, why should I pay a dime on her head? Worse of it is that this dude enjoyed all what he enjoyed free of charge! Now, why should I be requested to pay for same? Common, that's not fair! What's sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander!!!
From Delsu to Lasu, from Uniben to OOU, from Uniport to Unical, from UniAbuja to Esut...it is the same story! Any girl who cohabits with a dude in school who has never paid a dime on her has lost her feminine value! She doesn't deserve anything paid on her!!! Truth is, chances are as we speak somebody is bleeping your future wife unless you marry a virgin. I know it can be painful to look at it that way and to know that some dude is shagging your future wife. Even more painful if he has a big dick, hehehehehe. Before I married I held the same view just like you and vowed to marry a virgin because I couldn't bring myself to accept that my wife had been facked by other men. But what are the chances that I was going to get a virgin to marry? Not very high. Stopped worrying myself and also went out there and bleeped other people's future wife too. A few virgins were on the list. With my wife I just don't even go there and don't try to pry into her past. Lucky to get a decent woman though. You should get a virgin as a wife if it bothers you that much, but they don't come that way anymore after certain age so my advise is, start early and catch them young and unspoiled as wives otherwise forget it. On the other hand if it would make you feel any better, go out there and bleep other people's future wives too as they are bleeping yours by now. |

taharqa: Will this mignet of a President keep his fhuccking mouth SHUT for goodness sake!!! Imagine the insolence!! Chad??
When an army anywhere in the world liberates a territory, it does mop up operations for as much as it takes to clear the territory and it's surrounding of the insurgents and then HOLDS THE PLACE for as long as it is necessary to secure complete victory. You don't drive out the insurgents today, call the global media tomorrow, leave the day after and expect a different army which did not initially participate in the fight and so would not fully understand the fluidity of the operating security situation to take over and hold the town almost immediately for you. That is jus fooolishness. What for fhucck's sake is the role of Chad in the multinational operation then?? You have only liberated 3 or 4 towns close to the border, and you cannot hold these towns for some time?? You are expecting another army that is extremely busy fighting the same war in 3 other different fronts to come and hold the small territories you've liberated for you.
The Nigerian Military is currently operating in 3 States and an area said to be bigger than Belgium in size. It has recovered over 42 towns (including the largest and most difficult of former towns held by BH) and about 14 LGA from Boko haram. It has succeeded in carrying mop up operations in all these territories and is HOLDING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Not a single one of these liberated territory on the Nigerian side have fallen back to the terrorists since their liberation. Yet the loudmouthed Chad cannot do the same in just only 3 or 4 it has liberated. Why the helll did they then agree to be part of the MNJF in the 1st place??
I think it is about time any sane Nigerian, unfortunately not all of us are sane judging from some of the comments on this thread already, began to ask what the real interests of the Chadians are in this war against Boko haram.
I no Blame dem sha. Na Nigeria wey allow them enter in the 1st place I blame Look at another stuupid Nigerian. Upon all your huge population of over 180M and a huge military force of God knows what, you can't even send a unit to be with this experienced Chadians as they request so when they clear a town your useless unit would stay and hold it. Now you pea brain are saying the Chadians should hold those places they clear. It is your fckin country that is being messed up and they have come to help you, what an idiiiot. They patrol your towns and you have no shame to even suggest that it is their responsibility to hold it. It is for you to hold those towns they clear and hand over to you. What are you people doing in Nigeria? Just procreating and increasing your population like rabbits for what? A country of over 180M people and you are saying you can't even raise a 20,000 strong force to handle Boko Haram? Useless, useless. Next time don't post rubbish |
