A Desirable US city

Okay. So I think about this every so often, but not seriously enough. But the last couple of years, I've been thinking about it every month! And the last couple of months, I've been thinking about it EVERY day!!

So, what is it?

"It" is Relocating. I've lived in this SE US town for a looonng time, and I like it most of the time, so, 50/50 chance I won't move, but I tell ya I'm close to giving it a 75% chance. So the criteria is a city with similar weather, not much different soioculturally - any progressive southern city with a significant black population and some international flair meets that criteria. No cold places! The only cold place I would consider is if by chance I got into the post-graduate school of my choice in the NE.

Dunno how it's going to go. I previously did this research a couple of years ago and narrowed it down to two SE cities and one NE city, plus a Western city, but that was just a buffer.

If you have a good suggestion, let's hear it. If it does happen, it won't be for at least 3-6 months.

Not a good thing if you and DK are IM'ing.  I'm not bothered.  Just worried for Ileke and. . .Naijababe.  Yeah, that's it.

TA!! Too bad!!

And all my roomies loff me sha. . . . you're missing a great show of what men would die for grin On a serious note, I am a very gentle soul o. I reality, I wouldnt give trouble a second glance. My mantra; You never know who you meet and when you'll need them again, first and last impression counts.
hahahaha.  But I'm not a man.  I'm a little bit sigificantly more evolved than that.  tongue

I do like your mantra though.  Very mature.

hehehehe.  Which one is that, Ileke?  The one in your FLGators profile?  Shows legs and . . . cleavage galore.  Yowza!  That's our Ileke.  But you cover your face pretty well.  Not sure you'd be easily recognized in real life. At least, not right away.

FL Gators:
I swear, I tried to take that test, it was too long. And the options where too long jare.

Let's say, I'm the "Ekiti Soul". . . .the complexity of that soul is hard to comprehend by those who are not of the same category.
I believe there are 9 questions, with multiple choices.  Maybe the choices were too many?  I still think it can be completed in under 10 minutes.  DK did his in like 5mins!  For a university student, you sure don't get the test -taking idea, do you, my friend? tongue

But, we'll let you have your way, provided, there are no dissenters - 2 test takers to challenge the special treatment to let you slide while others had to do the work - then "EKITI" soul it shall be . . .

Are you hanging out with DK?  Oh, never mind.  His invitation said his Superbowl party was gonna be ladies only, except for him. Ugh. tongue

BTW, I think O'silly was condescending, they need to give that brotha a break.
O'Reilly is a rage-ha-holic.  I used to watch him regularly.  Been a while.  He actually behaved himself with Obama.  He wasn't going to give us the full O'Reilly, since he is interviewing the president, in the White House.  He also desperately wants to regularly get interviews with influentional and truly famous people.  You should have seen him when he got an interview with Rosie O'Donnell a few years ago.  O'Donnel for Pete's sake!

He can be entertaining though, oftentimes unwittingly.  I once saw a show where he was turning red while yelling at a Newspaper publisher, and immediately turned apologetic when the man asked him, "Why are you yelling"?  He lowers his pitch and says, "Yes, I'm sorry, that was not necessary," and continued right on with the interview a little chastened and more composed. Very interesting guy.

P.S. Don't know if Obama deserves "a break."  I promise to seriously consider it though.

Some Abroad News:

Obama is being interviewed by Bill O'Reilly of Fox Network.  So far, we've heard O'Reilly ask if Obama is a socialist, about Obamacare, "does he know that people hate him", "that he's a lot more guarded since he's been in office".  Obama didn't want to pick a team for today's match.  I could have sworn he's done that before.  He said he knows abut basketball but not much about football.  He said he'll watch the whole game, and O'Reilly is welcome to attend some party that Jennifer Lopez is also attending.  O'Reilly demurs and says he might scare J-Lo.

They started off talking about Eqypt.  O'Reilly is afraid Mubarak knows where all the bodies are buried - he's afraid of USA pushing him too much and he retaliating by confirming his country and others' participation in helping US with rendition and other datardly acts that circumvent the UN charter/resolutions on war and prisoners of war.  What a country!

Well, it was just a teaser: pre-Superbowl stuff.  There'll be a full-length interview later in the week, on O'Reilly's show, I guess.

I'm changing the channel.  I don't like American football.  Tried to watch it before.  AWFUL AWFUL PAINFUL TEDIOUS.  No offense.  grin
