fstranger3:Salient, succinct, yet utterly profound in its simplicity. Can I be a reviewer or can I? Come on, give me my props! fstranger3: Katsumoto:hahaha. Mo so wipe ke so'ro nipaa yin, Oga Katsumoto. E fun wa ni something nau! |
Katsumoto:There is no excuse for my oversight (of that in your post). I know Reds and Red Devils are bitter rivals. ![]() Boy, it must be rough being a Pool supporter right now. Do you just wanna give the Arse fans a proper beatdown for their whining. Start with Debosky please. ![]() P.S. Can I just say, it is so refreshing to finally make friends with NLers who forgive you before you've even asked for it. Makes my (Visionary) soul smile. ![]() |
Katsumoto:On not at all. I got that you're a Red Devil. No? Manchester United fan par excellence. |
It's the Egyptian Ambassador to The USA, Mr. Samen Shoukry, talking to Wolf Blitzer. Repeats it numerous times that Mubarak has transferred all presidential powers but 3 to VP Suleiman. And he says those 3 non-delegated powers are in the Constitution but no one has the power currently. Very confusing. |
Breaking News on CNN: Wolf Blitzer interviewing an Egyptian who is saying that Mubarak "has transferred all presidential powers to his VP, Suleiman." |
i8millar:hehehe. You are so easy. No tears; redfaced smiley. But I won't look a gifthorse in the mouth. Not that you're a horse. ![]() |
Katsumoto:Dayokanu is banished! What reds are you referring to? There is only one. This angry woman below. Tell her to free me for Pete's sake. i8millar:Naijababe, come on now. We're pals. Let it go. What'd I do? I'm not a flirt. Don't give me a reputation, joo. ![]() We're only getting people to share their "abroad" experience, and take a fun quiz in the process. |
dayokanu: I'll let Stranger deal with the above. You've forgotten that "I am not chattel "discussion we once had. You know, DK, I figured you out a little bit better. Recently, I posted in a couple of threads as you. You sure do say things that'll get the women ganging up against you! Is that the real you or did someone (Tpia) dump you recently? ![]() Anyway, I was kidding about the below. I should have put a smiley there. I have no problem with Stranger, you, or anyone else.
Stranger, I've figured out you just love to fight. You don't have to have a reason. Am I supposed to not talk to you anymore? Whatever, I'll do it. Just say it.
![]() |
Katsumoto:Old Soul. Are you compatible with Visionary Soul? hahaha I am a lifelong, suffering reds (not manure) fan.I just need to watch my mouth. I was just trying to appease Naijababe/18millar, the Gunner who was seeing red cos of something I said. [s]I actualy know a lot about the reds. I was a "fan" for a little while - probably the closest I came to supporting a professional team[/s]. Why did you need to tell me Tpia is female?I read a couple of posts too fast and thought somone thought Tpia was a "suitor." ![]() |
Stranger, I've figured out you just love to fight. You don't have to have a reason. Am I supposed to not talk to you anymore? Whatever, I'll do it. Just say it. |
Speech is over. The interpreter was kind of off so couldn't follow too well, but bottomline is: Mubarak is going nowhere. But he's talking about concessions to appease the people. I don't see him stepping down before the September elections unless more violence and high-level mutiny occurs. It will take a lot more than what we've seen to dislodge an 82-year-old despot who was grooming his son to takeover from him. I'm sure the Israelis are happy. The people will have towait a little longer for a leader that puts the Egyptian people first. |
Some Foreign News: Watching Mubarak live on tv. Will he go or won't he? |
i8millar:OMG. Naijababe is still mad about this weekend draw. OK, pele. I won't mention it again. Anyway, I was just talking about Gunners in general, not the draw. DK likes to torture you all. Just look out. P.S. You guys are doing better than ever - still in 2nd place right. You might just knock the Man.ure fans off their perch. |
i8millar:Oh My! The place is crawling with Gunners. ![]() |
fstranger3:Where did you see that? I wonder if it's true those Google folks are very secretive. I once met a girl who said she worked for Google but they're not supposed to tell people; she said she was an independent contractor for them. Of course, she may have just being full of hot air. BTW, What's your signature about, Fstranger3? |
Katsumoto, You can tell us something about yourself. Only stuff you're comfortable with, of course. I understand some NLers even have a whole other persona from their real selves. It's your call. Anyway, this thread started out as a place to discuss all things pertaining to lives of Naijas abroad, participants not limited to only those residing outside of Nigeria. As you can see it's grown to more (or less) than that. So, I don't expect you to read the whole thread - in fact, I prefer you didn't. lol. I don't want a reputation o! I'm not collecting suitors. Just do the soul quiz - it's fun, not scientific, and we won't hold it against you. It's just a line I use to get people participating in the thread. hahahaBTW, Tpia is a female, a formidable one at that. ![]() |

blacksta:Egypt’s Army Signals Transfer of Power Hossan Badrawi, secretary general of the National Democratic Party (NDP), told Egyptian state news outlets and the BBC that Mr. Mubarak would "most probably" speak to the nation soon, and that he would likely step down from his post. In testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, C.I.A. Director Leon E. Panetta said that there was a “strong likelihood” that Mr. Mubarak would step down by the end of the day. Although the shape of a new Egyptian government remained unclear, television images on Al Jazeera showed the masses in Tahrir Square cheering the news of an impending shake-up, waving flags and chanting: "The Army and the people in one hand." Vice President Omar Suleiman, named by Mr. Mubarak to undertake a dialogue with opposition groups, had warned Tuesday night that if the process he was supervising did not produce results, the military would step in to take administrative control in what he called a “coup.” He did not say what role he would play in a military government. The announcement came as Egypt’s uprising entered its 17th day on Thursday, bolstered by strikes and protests among professional groups in Cairo and workers across the country. A senior official in Mr. Mubarak’s embattled government was quoted as saying the army would “intervene to control the country” if it continued to devolve into chaos. As tension built ahead of Friday’s planned mass protests, thousands of chanting lawyers in black robes and physicians in white laboratory coats marched into Tahrir Square — the epicenter of the uprising — to join the clamor for Mr. Mubarak’s ouster. Engineers and journalists also headed for the square on Thursday as the numbers there began to swell once again into the thousands, with demonstrators mingling among the tents and graffiti-sprayed army tanks that have taken on an air of semipermanence. blacksta:So I was right! Well, well. A bosom buddy of Debosky's. You know what? I guess it'll be a while before they show her image. Who knows if she's even seen herself in a mirror yet. They said they removed like, what? 1/3 of her skull. They said it was going to be put back during reconstructive surgery after the brain swelling went down. I haven't really followed up until now - beside the brief updates I catch on tv. P.S. you mean, Gabrielle; you're thinking of Kathie Lee. I had to check too. |
