Hi I'm new here & I don't know if anyone still checks this thread since the last post here was since 2010. I love music, good music. i always did since i was young. I love this country so much but also I am not proud of our entertainment industry especially the Artistes. Some years back I decided to learn how to make music, I'm still learning. I believe earth is a giant school, though I never took one really seriously. Anyhow I'm a producer and I just make beats for now. They are mainly rap/hiphop. It is a bit different from the Nigerian standards. Music is an Art and as an Art you don't force it. It comes from within, From the Core. I believe everything is gradually changing & If you listen to my sounds I'm sure you will come to the same conclusion. I make use of Fl studio 12
Bro, I make use of FL11, same line as you regarding music. All my sounds are far from the regular Nigerian thing. I'm also a rapper (admire Pac and Rick Ross a lot) so I guess I know quite a few things about music. Ill share what happened to me lately, I sent some of my works to a big name producer and he condemned em big time. I felt down and nearly gave up. Few days back, an even bigger producer said he heard my beat and was like “That stuff is real good”. Lessons learnt: No matter how bad some peeps think u are at what you do, there will always be someone who thinks otherwise. Finally, I'm working on my EP scheduled to drop in september. NOT really doing this for the money, just wonna be heard and catch some fun smiley Two months only in the beat making game but I get more plays on soundcloud everyday cheesy

Music Business / Re: How Much Is A USB Recording Microphone Sold by IsiAbuncha(m): 9:29am On Apr 17, 2017
seunpayne:
Check Jumia. BM-700 is a nice one. Good pre amp and echo control. Less than 15k. There are better models if you're willing to part with more cash. But since you're looking for a USB mic, I assume you don't want to spend money on buying a sound card so this is as good as it gets when shopping on a budget.
Bro, wetin be the job of that soundcard sef? I also want a mic like the poster, have intentions of recording on my PC (using FL). I no know which mic go soothe this situation, saw so many on konga, look good but as per me na JJC confusion just hold me.

Lol, that una yeye department. Graduated from same school few years ago with a 2.90 CGPA. Yeah, far from the best but can never be ashamed or feel miserable though I see the minimum of 2nd Class Upper job adverts. The OP has got a psychological problem I know of. There are many working in big firms with a lower GP than mine for sure but then I'm not moved, I'm confident and calm, I'm not the best but I'm glad I'm not the worst smiley

Sup you'll
First off;am not saying anybody should send me money, that is not why we are here,am just trying to help build a career in this music business.
Have seen a lot of dope rappers and real good singers I mean amazing singers around looking for the smallest opportunity to record their song or even to get their songs heard.
Most of this peps are so good and they are even ready eat a bowl full of shit just to record a song.(Talking from experience)
You'll know what I mean already so let me cut the story shot,am trying to start a movement for guys or girls that love to produce or artist that have always loved to make those drake, meek mill, rick ross, kendrick lammer, the weekend, casper nyovest,Aka and so on... type of music am not talking about doing the same type of music am just giving an example.
So if you know you have what it takes to start this movement,Home studio,Money to start a real nice studio,or you are a dope producer and you have any other thing related idea to start this movement then
