Lol, similar to mine. Finished school 2012. My SSCE was so beautiful. My JAMB was great, but not worthy enough to get me qualified, for MBBS in UNN. I opted for Pre Science UNIZIK and was among the great scores then. My jamb was below the accepted minimum required benchmark, 180. I scored only but 179. my fault actually. I got negative influence in my Pre Science days to get into vices for a great jamb score. I will always regret that decision till date. I was punished greatly by God for that single act. It cost me Pre Science admission. Disqualified me from even applying in any university for admission. So I went for Federal Polytechnic Nekede. My Post UTME was 270. I got admission to sturdy, Science Laboratory Technology. I combined it with jamb, till i graduated from ND. After my one year IT, I was admitted into a university to sturdy Botany 2016/17 and had a successful change of course to Optometry last year, without dropping a year since we all did same course in year one. My year one GP was 4.47, cumulative. I'm currently a 200 level student in department of optometry while hoping that UNIPORT remembers me in dentistry and surgery. My jamb and post UTME score were great. If i get admitted, fine. If i don't, fine. But what is clear is I'm now more determined, experienced and deserving to be in a medical school. I must get it this year, if I don't then next year. I feel I'm being prepared for a great adventure in the medical world. like to fulfil a destiny or something. Guys, you are only sure someone won't reach a destination the moment he or she quits and walks back home. Good luck to me and other aspirant. (have an option of being an optometrist anyway, so I'm determined not desperate)

I was in your shoe few years back. I couldn't get MBBS because competition was too deadly.

I got a nightmare when I was given Agric course. I started receiving unwanted advice from all dick and harry.

They reminded me that petroleum will be exhausted in Nigeria in the nearest future and Nigeria will return to the days of agriculture.

With a heavy heart or perhaps a mix feeling of being an undergraduate, I accepted the admission and I kept writing jamb over and over. You need to see tears because I was really reading like my destiny was on fire.

I couldn't take the risk Dr Isiss took but at last, I got MBBS when I was about finishing B.Agric February 2018.

My advice to you, accept the education and biology and try your luck again.

Mind you, it is not a walk in the park preparing for utme and simultaneously managing undergraduate courses.

On the other hand, if you can take the risk, reject the admission, settle down and prepare harder for this jamb.

I scaled through... Had 282 in the then 2016 jamb and 4.0 g.p as my semester result that session.
It was GOD. It wasn't easy anyway.

Due to the pain I went through and the terrible mistakes I made by rejecting admissions like ABU wen i was given anatomy, left UNIZIK after doing their 6month prescience program for UNN..dropped out of school where I was studying animal nutrion.. Trust me, Av gone through anykind of pain u could ever imagine.

Folks like ajet01, bobola07, donpre, , mrhistorian, oldfoolniger, et all know a little of some of these stories... These guys are real bros.
Well, my aim is to advice upcoming lads, wether MBBS/BDS, Med rehab, medlab, radiography, nursing, pharmacy, optometry. I have friends in almost all of these fields, I can link u up with them... Whatever school u want to go to, u need advice? U've gone through my route and u are confused? Are u tired? U need someone to talk to? Trust me, I understand perfectly wat u are going through coz i've been there.. I'll listen to u like a kid and I'll give u my candid advice.
Well, my story in a short note so u know how darring this route is...
finished school 2012, got admission 2014, course? Animal nutrition.. I changed 2015 to chemistry Bsc, wrote jamb that same year.. Had 239.. Unn gave me nothing.. I got to 300L chemistry, wrote jamb 2016, had 282.. Waec system was messy.. ABU gave me ANATOMY, I dished it.. Droped from 300level chemistry coz I was fade up. Went to stay with my Unizik medical Frnd who is now like a bro to me..IFEZINX by name.. He guided me through Nnamdi Azikiwe prescience program.. I did it through the six month.. Jamb came out.. 307. Was cool, I changed school to UNN. Dr donpre would have slapped me if he were close. That guy is just so careful with his decisions, lol.. He advised i stay put, although true, but i risked it again, carelessly.. I love that guy, Sarcastic in some ways, initially thought it was a girl behind the Monicker,..

The risk paid off. And here I am.
Trust me this is just a tip of the iceberg.
Gunning for mbbs?? I hv seen it almost all. Just holla.
I said if I made it through the risky decison i took, I would do anything within my power to get folks oriented.
State school is cool, federal school is cool, and a top notch school is also cool.. Remember I used cool all through? It's just to tell u these schools produces student who all have one head. Lol.
