Olamyyde: All of you shouting neymar should remember played in the 0-0 game vs juve in 2016. There's only much a great player can do. Against this Liverpool? He'd have registered a goal and an assist at least both legs. We couldn't do more because Messi was our only formidable forward. Coutinho was useless. Dembele missed two crucial chances. Trent wouldn't be shining this way against Neymar. Bro, Neymar would have made a difference. Talk about motivating the team. Talk about lessening the creative burden on Messi. Talk about not wasting the chances Messi created. |

I feel we should be banned from UCL until we fix up. The cycle of almost getting there and bottling it is tiring.

Enrique who wan treble sef go gently...
Barca are good but you need fighters to win ucl... and that the difference tonight
Wondered why use Vidal vs Celta? He was visibly gassed before he was substituted for Arthur..
To think key players were rested for 5 days and still chop 4 goals to nil is not humiliating...
Kindly manage Laliga and Copa del rey...
NextSeason! That's one of the painful parts. Their team played over the weekend. We rested ours. We played with absolutely no motivation. Like playing a league game when you've won it already. |

homesteady: When some of us here were talking about our atrocious away form, we were told to shut up and be grateful that we were grinding out wins and draws against Man U and Lyon. Now, we have been disgraced. Our away form is even worse than I thought.
That's the problem with mediocrity, it always comes back to bite you.
Yes the players have some faults with the missed chances, but when there is a reoccurring pattern, then you know that the problem goes deeper, which all points down to the Coaching.
No need to mince words, it's very clear now. Valverde Out! If he had any dignity, he should drop his resignation letter this night. Neither Mou nor Zidane would have bottled this. |

I think the reasons he held back were
(a) Tyrion could have faced the repercussions since he was definitely within range.
(b) he was not commanded to We don't really have much insight into Worm's personality, so we don't know why he didn't break rank and act out of grief.

somehow: Tyrone was the messenger sent by Danny to speak on her behalf just like Cersei sending the old scientist to represent her. Arrows pointed at a armless Tyrone in that scene until she waved them off. The keyword here is messenger. She had always wanted to kill Tyrion. She made the attempt because it was Tyrion, not because it was Dany's messenger. |

Seun: She begged him not to tell anyone because she knew that it would be used against her even if Jon didn't want to be King. Clearly, she was right.
Qyburn is no defenceless old man; he is a monster. He conducts horrific experiments on men, women and children until they die painfully. He is also Cersei's head of technology; responsible for creating Cersei's zombie bodyguard and the scorpions that killed Rhaegal. He should be killed. I spoke from Greyworm's POV. Greyworm doesn't know all these. He doesn't know how important Qyburn is to Cersie. As far as Greyworm was concerned at that moment of beheading, Qyburn was simply an old, defenseless man, who doubled as the queen's hand and spokesperson. His ire that time would be directed at Cersie and Gregor. |

GMan650: She would get tired if she finally gets to sit on that damned throne. Same thing that happened to Robert The situations are different. Robert was never obsessed with the throne. Kingship was merely a by-obtainance for him, after he rebelled against, and conquered the ruling house. |

Magnifico2000: How did Tyrion know qyburn's name. I can't remember them having being together. Okay maybe the meeting at dragonpit allowed it. Qyburn came with Jaime to Kingslanding. Tyrion was still in Kingslanding when Jaime returned. Tyrion still stayed a great deal of time at Kingslanding before killing his dad and eloping with Varys. So, they must have, at least, met, once. |

Nelsizzy: Game of thrones just dey anger me with this attempt to turn Dany into a villian. Yes, she has made some mistakes but she has worked hard for this throne and she is definitely within rights. Every single one of her army, she earned it. No single royal house in the entire westeros gave her a hundred men. Now there are saying Jon has a claim. If he has claim, he should build his army not waiting for Dany to win the war and then he sits on the throne because he is a fucking targeyan.
And about Sansa, she is really dumb imo. Someone sacrificed a third of her entire army for you, the least you can do is at least respect and trust the person. If Sansa had what Dany had and the White Walkers with the army of the dead were attacking Dragonstone, would she have sent her armies there? If Dany decides to sit out this war in Dragonstone, she will be very fine. As depleted as her army is, Cersei can't attack her in Dragonstone, so she will be save. What about Winterfell? Will Cersei just sit in the Iron Throne without capturing winterfell or what is Sansa on?
Someone here is saying Dany was irrational for leaving winterfell. Your Hand sits with the man that murdered your father drinking wine and sharing jokes. The man you loved is there entertaining comments of sitting on the Iron Throne. The fucking house you fought for is giving you the eyes of an enemy. Abeg she has suffered enough. If she eventually dies as a villian, I will curse the hours I wasted watching this show.

DP84: I am not one to force my viewpoint down people's throats but there are those who see movies or shows and pay crucial attention to details. They love to know 'the how', 'the when' and 'the why' events happen. Beyond clashing of swords or the senseless gunslings, give or present a logical plot and don't assume the audience are as stupid as those who only look forward to plot twists and fight scenes.
1. Arya killed the NK - How? Till date, no clue. 2. Ser Bronn showed up at Winterfell in a crossbow and found the Lannister Brothers in a chamber - How did it make it past the wall? 3.Two huge, fierce aerial creatures and a rider fly right above ships but never spotted the enemy ships until Rheagal was shot out of sky multiple times. - How so? 4. Cersei paid Ser Bronn heavily to kill her two brothers but couldn't command her archers to kill Tyrion right at her doorstep. How?
I very much fancy the plot, the gore and violence and all. It doesn't mean I switch off my brain when I sit behind my screen to see each episode. This is not about a movie not going the way I want. This is about logic and common sense. Maybe you should drop your emotion and don your thinking cap when seeing the next episode. Mehn! You've saved me the effort. Thanks for this. Let them know. |

Rukkydelta: Me too but she didn't listen cos she thought sansa advise was due to the fact she dislikes her. And Jon followed Dany without looking into Sansa point because he is in love with Dany and wants to prove he is by her side and don't want the Iron throne
Rhaeghal died because he was weak and haven't recovered like Dany listened to Sansa he could have still being alived. With most men dead and weak it will be difficult for her winning the seven kingdoms unless she wants to use fire to burn her enemies which will lead to innocent lives being killer Rhaegal died because the spears came at him at a very high momentum, and he didn't notice early enough to dodge them. If the spears had hit a fit and healthy Rhaegal, he'd still have died. |

BraniacX: my bad, qhorin. On Jamie continuing to fight with a direwolf's fangs sunk in his calf I think not! Jamie was a southern softie, a gallant fighter and great warrior but without that pain endurance madness/tenacity that made legends of people on the wall and beyond so i disagree with you I modified my post, read it. Your conclusion is basically a conjecture. There was no scene to prove or disprove you. Your 'pain, endurance madness/tenacity' is a comparative one. And who's to say he doesn't have these qualities in superior amounts relative to Qhorin? Because there were no famed lords beyond the wall to speak of Jaime, or there was no testing opportunity for him? |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Isomerizm(m): 9:12pm On May 06, 2019 |
BraniacX: well, riddle me this then, qhorin sold a fight to jon (we know he knows nothing but hell does he know how to use a long sword) but even with that decision and ghost savaging him to help Jon, Jon still had to fight for his life while at riverrun a Jamie chained to the stocks was almost pissing his pants when greywind bared his fangs at him, while this is not an assessment of his fighting abilities, do you think Jamie could continue a fight with Robb if greywind was chewing him up? Jon or Qhorin? Anyways, your question isn't about their individual fighting abilities which this discourse is fundamentally about. To answer your question, yes, I think Jaime would have continued a fight with Robb, if the wolf interfered. Jaime simply had the brief chill of unexpectedly seeing a large wolf, coming at him while he was unprepared and unarmed. If your question is aimed at distinguishing between how Qhorin and Jaime reacted or would have reacted to disadvantages in combat, then I think the same Jaime, who after had had his hand cut off, still attempted to rescue Brienne from that bear, would of definitely done something tragic to Robb, with or without Greywind gnawing at him. Mehn! It was a tad difficult reading your post. Punctuation, bro. |

BraniacX: did the author now? From whose POV? Did that POV factor nightswatch legends into that assessment? Tell me, do you think Mance raider, benjen stark, beor mormont among others as good fighters and/or good assessor of fighting prowess? What was their opinion of the halfhand? I didn't read about Qhorin, or people's views of him. In the end, it still all boils to popular and individuated opinions. Or what history records. The way everyone, bar Howland Reed and Bran, believes Ned beat Dayne, and draws conclusion from this popular lie, that Ned was better than Dayne. The same way posterity of Westeros will believe Gregor was a more skillful fighter than Oberyn. |

BraniacX: is his self appraisal what we want to go by? Qhorin was a very skilled and fast fighter/ranger and better still, a very good assessor of people's characters, temperament and potentials in brief observation, In my opinion, Jamie would have held his own against qhorin but only for a short time I didn't state just his self-appraisal. There's a point where the author, an omniscient, tells us Jaime would beat Sandor and Gregor, and a few other personalities, with his speed and skill. I'm sure Sandor and Gregor would hold their own against Qhorin, if not beat him. |
