I know Varverde will prefer Coutinho to start on the left, but looking at the speed and agility of Salah, Alba will not be able to overlap so much, so I will prefer starting Dembele on the left to keep their defence troubled.

And on the right back, I think Roberto should start ahead of Semedo because of Mane's quick reaction in counters.

I'd rather Coutinho start, tho. Coutinho will play as our peripheral 10 (an 11 that plays as a 10), letting Alba take care of the width, while he (Coutinho) covers for him. Then when Alba goes back to defend, he'd assume his 11 role. This way, stability is ensured on the left wing.

Another reason I prefer Coutinho is his eye for those shots (funny how a predictable trademark goal has suddenly become unpredictable). I've noticed Dembele would rather pass his way into the box than give goal a try. And trust me, we might not have as so many chances to tap our way into their box.

Then comes Coutinho's experience with EPL teams, particularly his previous team.

The choice would be difficult, tho. Considering Dembele would contribute his own merits, too if he started. His pace during counter (for or against either team), his perfect crosses, his runs and dribbles.

As for right back option, I'd rather Sergi Roberto start. It's unpopular, but Sergi is a better playmaker than Semedo. He has better link up plays with the midfielders. And I don't know why I have this feeling He will pocket Mane, maybe partly. Perhaps, because he did it against Vinicious.

good statement, our champions league progress is built on conceding as little goals as possible, Valverde favours defensive stability to offensive effectiveness, the riskiest he has been that I've watched was against Athletico Madrid where we played 4 2 4, with Coutinho, Suarez, Messi and Malcolm all on the field. Against Liverpool or any team Valverde will always go with 4 3 3 and if we need to defend, 4 4 2. So the only way Coutinho and Dembele will start at the same time is if Suarez or Messi don't play which is impossible when both are fit.

It's because clearer that Daenerys major concern is the iron throne. One of the reason she decided to go north, was because she thought Cercei would follow suit. So that after the battle, she would easily get the throne. She was so pissed when she heard Cercei won't be coming, smiles.

How can people like Daenerys and hate Sansa?.... It should be the other way round.

About those complaining about the episode being boring. Well, you know there are a certain kind of people who skip the dialogues in Troy just to watch the fight scenes.

If every midfielder we have plays like Busquets,

There are very many players in the squad too, all they know is JUST PASS!

No need to call names but a good number of our players, all they know is just pass.


We have got a squad of 23 and Vidal is the one who presses the most and is a midfield workhworse so he remains a big asset.

Vidal has put in a couple of Man Of The Match performances for us this term.


The problem with us is that most of us still live with that illusion of tiki taka,

Whereas the last time we won the champions league was 4 years ago,

With so called pressing teams like Roma and Athletico upsetting us.

Sansa's statement you mean. The show has revealed that Tyrion was wrong to have trusted Cercei to fight on Dany's side against the Nightking. Sansa wasn't at the meeting but she correctly surmised that Cercei was up to no good. On that note, she presently knows Cercei more than Tyrion.

This issue emerged in season 7.

Tyrion has been the smartest of the Lannisters. One of the smartest on the show. His ability to foreshadow, plan, interprete and worm out secrets from people are obvious reasons why he's too smart to have done what he did in season 7, when he was with Cersie. A lot of people were left gobsmacked when they found out Tyrion was serious about trusting Cersie. The same Tyrion of seasons 1-6? Falling cheaply for Cersie like that?

It was apparent the show runners deliberately toned down his brightness. And now, it's evident that elevating Sansa (who to me, will always remain as dumb as ever anyways), was a probable reason.

They could have simply made her see through Cersie's mischief, without making Tyrion come off as stupid. But, of course, the moon shines brighter when the sun goes down.

I've actually never seen Sansa as stupid. She was a spoilt, naive girl with fantasies of becoming Queen, then life happened and she was trapped in the capital.

There, she had the unique opportunity to learn from shrewd, calculating minds like Cercei, Varys, Baelish, Tyrion etc. She also survived her aunt and Ramsey. She experienced cruelty, watched people die and witnessed wars.

Sansa has obviously grown physically and otherwise and yes, she's now very clever.

That Arya's statement, humbling of Tyrion by making us suppose she knows Cersie more than his sister, are everything that's wrong with the first episode.

Watch as she begins to act all macho and dish out rejoinders (which doesn't suit her anyways) just to prove a metal through fire can become gold.

This has nothing to do with riches. You should think critically and stop taking things at face value. Read any history book. Invading armies always bring along supplies for their soldiers but depending on how long the siege is going to last, those supplies will not last forever..no matter how rich the Conqueror is. And when the provisions are gone, the army *always* starts to live off the land. That's why all invaders usually attack the richest and most fertile place in a country first so that they can control the resources there to their own advantage.
Now, look at the context of the show, The North in the GoT universe is known for their poor harvests, people always starve and die in winter. One of the advantages of Daenerys' alliance with the Queen of Thorns apart from more soldiers was the provision of food since the Reach is the most fertile place. But Cersei now has control of the Reach so Daenerys is at a serious strategic disadvantage.
You think writing a realistic story is easy? These factors are realistic concerns every army faces during a conquest. The show runners are not stupid, they considered all these things but You think it's stupid because they decided to voice these concerns in the story through a character you don't like. I'm sure you'd never think anything about that statement if it came from someone like Tyrion Lannister. That Sansa is thinking about it at all is a great testament to her foresight. Running an Army doesn't just require concerns about their ability to fight. it requires concerns about logistics too.

To me, the only people I can call sexy on the show are: Margery, Tienne (One of the sand snakes), Cersie of seasons 1-5, the slave who taught Dany how to ride Khal Drogo, the girl to whom Viserys told a story in some bath tub.

These ones are sexy because of their subtle sexual appeals. The way they look at a man, walk, sound, and carry themselves.

Not some basic girl with just spotless skin and two dragons and no seductive ability whatsoever. No talent whatsoever.

Seeing what Tyrion couldn't see is another borderline lame move (beside that Arya's completely un-precursored comment) by the show runners to make her come off as the smart girl fans wish she were.

Kept the North in one piece in Jon's absence, when there was nothing to keep the North from. Do you think she'd have been able to do this when the Greyjoy guys sacked Winterfell? Or during the Bolton's incursion?

The show runners are simply trying too hard to make Sansa come off as smart. They could do it in a subtle way, if they are that obsessed with it. But that Arya's comment wasn't the move.

the date for the fixtures are out, and I think considering that we are home first, we have a slight advantage over them. We will be able to come out and play our game and we will already know what we are aiming for in the second leg whether win, draw ot afford to lose with a small margin in the 2nd leg.
