Olukoya should go and faceall the allegations levelled him by Funke Ashekun, Yewande Richards and Joy Igene instead of all these meaningless window dressing and damage control.

They've made serious allegations against him bordering on sexual assault of young girls under the facade of "corridor deliverance. "

Instead of coming out boldly to tell the world the truth of the matter, he keeps hiding behind a finger like a coward that he is.

Hell hath no fury like Djokovic fans scorned’ – US Open line-judge receives death threats over disqualification

The line-judge at the heart of the Novak Djokovic disqualification at the US Open has been distastefully abused by fans of the Serb on Instagram.
Laura Clark, who was struck in the neck by a ball by Djokovic on Sunday, has received death threats and taunted over her late son after a Serbian newspaper published her name and social media details.

“I hope you rot in hell for this,” one user wrote.

“Hell hath no fury like Djokovic’s fans scorned. But no matter, you can be assured that one day karma will come for you.
“You were the reason the US Open disqualified the best tennis player.

“Novak, I hope you realise she was faking the injury all along.”

Other users called her “sick” and “an alcoholic”, while one particularly distasteful person told her “you’ll join him soon,” referencing Clark’s son who died in a motorcycle accident in 2008.

Clark is currently in a hotel being monitored by tournament doctors, and has understandably deleted her Instagram account.

Djokovic himself tried to protect Clark from these kinds of attacks by refusing to name her and asking fans to ‘respect her privacy’ in the statement he released after the match.

Ovie56:
You're right he's not the same class and Federer who is a media created myth, he's actually class above.

Secondly The Serbian authorities gave him permission to hold the event.
Thirdly what is wrong with PTPA?
1. Who lied to told you that Roger Federer is a media-created hype? That we don't like someone doesn't mean we should run them down. That's not fair. The Swiss Maestro/Super Star is the people's champ and a true legend of the sport. A media-created hype could never achieve one-tenth of the things RF has achieved on and off the court.

2. Does the fact that the Serbian Authorities gave him permission automatically invalidates the need to observe the Covid-19 health protocols, especially during a lockdown? C'mmon man, this does not require any hard thinking now!

SportsRe: US Open 2020: Djokovic Defaulted After Hitting Ball At Line Judge (video) by isonlagba: 11:13pm On Sep 06, 2020
Novak Djokovic had it coming to him as he doesn't have the finesse of a champion at all! He embarked on an ill-fated Adrian Tour (during the Corona Virus pandemic in April) and led other players not to observe the health protocols against the virus. Of course the tour had to be abandoned after several players including Djokovic himself and his wife contracted the virus.

After surviving the virus, he then threw himself foolishly into the politics of Tennis by initiating moves to form a parallel tennis union (PTPA) with the ATP Council, a move highly condemned by Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

All in all, I'd say it serves him right. He had it coming as his PTPA must have drawn the ire of the Authorities. He is an irresponsible champion and certainly not in the same class as Rafa and Roger.

By the way, this is good news to Rafa fans as Rafa gets to maintain his difference of 2 grandslam wins over Novak.

One cannot but sympathize with the amiable Femi Adesina.
He is currently living between the rock and a hard place. Some proverbs or words of wisdom may be apt at this time and if he considers these words of wisdom then he should know the right thing to do next.
1) When you point a finger at someone, 4 fingers are pointing back at you.
2) A brave man dies but once; a coward dies once
3) Those who will in glass houses must never throw stones
4) A man of honor and principle is worth more than all the riches in the world.

The next thing for Femi, if he is a man of honor and principle, is to honourably take a bow. But because he is an African, and because he's working in Government and because of Poverty Mentality, he would rather prefer to die a fool's death than to tow the path of honor.

Alas, a Daniel has come to judgement and the slap next time is around the corner waiting for Femi.
EducationGCE 2016: Calling WAEC To Reschedule Students From Centres In Isawo, Ikorodu! by isonlagba(op): 4:20pm On Jul 24, 2016
Just this morning came another sad news of a Redeemed Pastor kidnapped in broad daylight in a church in Isawo, Ikorodu. The happenings of terror, kidnapping and killings by supposed militants is now a daily affair in Isawo as hundreds of residents have abandoned their homes to take refuge elsewhere. Just last month about 20 people were massacred in a midnight raid on the sleepy town by suspected militants who invaded using flying boats on the waterfront. Isawo town is now virtually becoming a ghost town.

One is therefore shocked to learn that WAEC nonetheless posted students to school centres in Isawo town to sit for the forthcoming Nov/Dec 2016 GCE exams schedled to commence in August/September!!!

Against this background of daily killings and ghost town scenario, this is a CLARION CALL to WAEC to urgently change the centres of all students posted to Isawo town, Agric bus stop, Ikorodu.

WAEC should please do the needful now because anything can happen!!!!!!!!

I walked into Tastee Fried Chicken yesterday to buy the usuals, you know Fried Chicken, fried rice, moi-moi, Meat-pie, Doughnut and a chilled Five Alive Juice to drown the whole lot. But I received a shocker! After the sales girl had given me the 5 Alive, it was as if she forgot something...she now went back to the fridge and gave me a cold bottled water made by...(wait for it)...GTBank! As shown in the picture below, the mini-sized bottled water had all the features or trappings of GTB dominantly displayed all over it - the GTBank logo, and orange, orange colour everywhere!

When I asked the sales girl whether GTBank is now into Bottled water business, she didn't say yes or no, but only said ''...well, we received it from them. But our Oga say, we should give 1 bottle free to any customer that buys things of over N1000.00''

So, in other words the GTB bottled water are not for sale or not for sale yet. So, can we then assume (that because they are not for sale) it is not a case of GTB taking over a debtor's business to probably realise their exposure? If that is the case, does it then mean that these samples are just promo samples, to test market acceptability before mass production? Does that also explain why the water is being made in mini-bottles (being sample test only)?

A closer examination of the mini-bottle revealed the following information: 'Bottled by Ash-Bert Beverages Ltd. Sapele'. The front side had the following inscription:'Natural Drinking Water Bottled Exclusively for GTBank' lol grin

The fear of Treasury Single Account is indeed the beginning of wisdom for banks (or is it for GTBank only)?

Jokes EtcAPC Set To Boycott Polls On March 28 And April 11, 2015 by isonlagba(op): 5:21am On Feb 08, 2015
Arising from an emergency meeting of party stalwarts in the wee hours of today, the APC has denounced the postponement of the Feb 14 polls saying that ''the PDP and INEC were acting out a well-rehearsed script written in Aso Rock.'' According to the party, the rescheduled elections, if indeed it holds, will lack credibility and will only rubber stamp the continuity of Jonathan's government. The APC insists on February 14 as sacrosanct and will not be a party to any change that will set the nation ablaze.

The decision has therefore been taken to boycott the elections in its entirety and leave Jonathan and the PDP to perpetuate itself in power, bringing the nation to its knees. Although it is not clear yet, which of the elections it wants to boycott. The party has calls on other parties to boycott the rescheduled polls. Details are still sketchy, but there are strong indications that a parallel government is being considered.

Which way Nigeria?

Well, wonders shall never cease to happen.
The world is getting crazier by the minute second.
What have we not seen or heard - the other day, someone got married legally to his computer, a woman also got legally wedded to her dog, just recently in Sweden, a woman got legally married to 2 men, and the list goes on and on. Just about anything seems to be right these days.

If we give all these 'strange events' some serious thought, it would not be hard to see that clearly, the scripture is about being fulfilled.
The only thing delaying the 2nd coming of Christ or the rapture is the spread of the gospel to every nook and cranny of the earth. This is the only scriptural prophecy that is yet to be 100% fulfilled.

It goes like this: A one-legged masquerade enters a house. Not too long, about 5 mins later, a one-legged man in shirt and trousers comes out of the same house!
Now, who does not know that the masquerade who went in and the one-legged man are one and the same?

It's a shame that we do not have prophets anymore in this country! I mean, real prophets in the true meaning of the word. All we have since 20/25 years ago, are just hopeless ''permutators and combinators.''

All the momentous and earth-shaking events that have taken place so far this year were never predicted by any prophet, e.g the sudden suspension of Sanusi, his later coronation as Emir, the fall in the price of crude oil, appointment of Dieziani as Opec president etc.

It's incredibly worse, extremely WORST (if I an use the word) in the banking industry!!!
Bankers live a robotic, mechanical, meaningless life hence I quit the bank some few years ago and I have no regrets.

You 're given a target to deliver oon deposits and risk assets. In the event that you deliver it, the 'evil' management will praise you at their utterly useless MPR meetings, get a bonus and guess what next? They will double your target and the vicious 'dog-eat-dog' cycle begins all over again. It's terrible! All the previous praises and bonus will now be vomited!

If you cannot meet the new target, then good bye to you. You, that was only a few months ago idolised and worshiped for meeting/surpassing target, will be disgraced in the utterly useless MPR meetings and thereafter fired!!!

Can we call that living a life? Is that a life in its real sense? Is this how God wanted us to live our lives

But the funny thing I discovered was that 2 years down the line, I happened to pass by my former 'useless' branch and guess what? I asked after their branch CABAL and it was even far worse than what I left behind. When I was still with them, my team mobilised N4bn as our CABAL, but 2 years after, it has dropped to N1.8bn despite the sack of my team and immediate replacement with 'Strategic hires' from several other banks and giving them 20% increase in salary over ourshuh!!!

Banks are the greatest culprits in this mad race of a meaningless life........

SportsMeet Nick Kyrgios, The 19 Year Old Conqueror Of Rafael Nadal At Wimbledon by isonlagba(op): 8:14pm On Jul 05, 2014
Nick Kyrgios made the quarter-finals in his first Wimbledon.

Australia woke to a new sporting champion on Wednesday and if Nick Kyrgios charmed Wimbledon, back home he turned the world into a very nice place.

Tennis used to be Australia’s middle name. Surnames such as Hoad, Laver, Rosewall, Court, Goolagong, Newcombe and Cash were woven into the national fabric but in recent years only Lleyton Hewitt, Sam Stosur and Bernard Tomic have occasionally managed to raise the banner high.

Making his Wimbledon debut, Kyrgios reached for the stars when he beat world number one Rafael Nadal in the fourth round.

It was one of the greatest upsets in the tournament's history. Australia, and the tennis world generally, was nearly as stunned as Nadal.
Only hours before the match, the American commentator John McEnroe had dismissed the 19-year-old’s chances against Nadal. Not only was he playing courtesy of a wildcard entry but being ranked 144th did little to enhance his chances against the 28-year-old Spaniard. Besides, playing on the Centre Court was enough to rattle any neophyte.

Four sets later, the Canberran prevailed, 7–6, 5–7, 7–6, 6–3. But youth versus experience or not, it was a tough, close match with Kyrgios claiming 140 points to Nadal’s 137. The Canberran reeled off 37 aces. But it was his cheeky ‘‘tweener’’ - a between the legs stroke that popped the ball out of Nadal’s reach - that went viral on YouTube, quickly amassing more than 500,000 views.

McEnroe ate his words, recalibrated and predicted Kyrgios was equipped to make the distance to the Wimbledon championship.
Back home, everybody agreed with McEnroe. Delirium set in. More than 300 articles on the giant killer appeared in the media. The number of followers on Kyrgios’s Twitter site doubled in a day to 70,300.

Killing a giant turned him into an overnight sensation but Kyrgios has been coming on for years.

The son of a Greek housepainter, Giorgos Kyrgios, and a Malaysian computer engineer, Norlaila, the tennis tyro is the youngest of three: a brother, Christos, is a lawyer, and a sister, Halimah, is an actress. He attended several schools in Canberra and completedyear 12 two years ago at Daramalan College.

At 1.93m, Kyrgios was first talent-scouted for basketball and represented the ACT and Australia in under age sides. But at 14 he chose the tennis court over the basketball court and started his climb to Wimbledon at the Australian Institute of Sport.

He won his first International Tennis Federation junior tour title in Fiji in 2010 and moved into the senior ranks with a handful of victories at tournaments in the US, China, England and Sydney in the past two years. He also represented Australia in the 2013 rubber against Poland.

His spectacular Wimbledon debut means Kyrgios' ranking will shoot up to about world number 65, not least because he knocked off French 13th seed Richard Gasquet in the second round.

Slaying Nadal means the world has also become his oyster.

The haul from vanquishing Nadal, the quarter-final loser’s cheque of $411,000 dwarfed his career prizemoney earnings of $248,000. Scaling the ratings also means direct entry into the grand slams and many tour events.

His co-manager Clinton Coleman said contracts with Nike and Yonex would be renegotiated.

“We quietly believe that we’ve got maybe the best player maybe for a generation here,’’ Coleman said.

On Thursday the dream ended.
Kyrgios went down to Canadian eighth seed Milos Raonic 6-7, 6-2, 6-4, 7-6.
After the match Kyrgios said: "It's been the best couple of weeks of my life.’’

SportsRafael Nadal Returns To World No 1 On Monday by isonlagba(op): 8:21am On Oct 05, 2013
China 2013 ATP Open - Rafael Nadal Vs Tomas Berdych (4 - 2) Dateline: Saturday, Oct 5, 2013 (5:30am)

Rafael Nadal won the semifinal by default, as opponent Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic retired at 2-4 due to injury, to reach the final at the China Open, thereby securing his return to the World No. 1 spot in the Emirates singles ranking.

Rafa played well before the end of the match, breaking Berdych’s serve twice. Although he was broken back once, he seemed to be in form and ready to take the first set. At 4-2 (Rafa), however, Berdych sought a trainer and then took an MTO (Medical Time Out) off court. He returned to the match but could not sustain his level of play and retired.

Rafa will next play the winner of the semifinal between Novak Djokovic and Richard Gasquet at the China Open Final scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday Oct 6, 2013. Regardless of the outcome of the final tomorrow, Rafael Nadal, by this victory over Berdych, has already secured enough points to overtake Novak Djokovic at the top of the rankings.

World No. 1 Rafael Nadal – it has a great ring to it! Rafa! Vamos!

SportsRafael Nadal Beats John Isner To Win 2013 Cincinnati Masters by isonlagba(op): 11:09pm On Aug 18, 2013
The question on everybody's lip now is: ''Who can stop Rafa?''

World number three Rafael Nadal overcame battling American John Isner to win his 26th Masters title.
The Spaniard won 7-6 (10-cool 7-6 (7-3) to secure back-to-back titles following his success in Montreal last weekend.
Nadal, 27, saved two set points in a tight opening set and came through another tie-break to seal victory and clinch his 59th career title.

"It's very special for me to win here," said Nadal, who starts his bid to win a second US Open title in eight days.

"This one was the first one I felt I was actually playing well. Congratulations to John and I'm sorry for today, but I'm sure if you continue you will have a lot of chances to win tournaments like this."
Nadal's victory came one week after he beat Canada's Milos Raonic to win the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

The 12-time Grand Slam champion set up the final with Isner after a straight-sets win over Tomas Berdych - who had knocked out Wimbledon champion Andy Murray. earlier in the tournament.

The American made the world number three work for his service games and missed a late chance in the first set when Nadal saved two set points with two forehand winners to level the match at 6-6.

The duo fought to 8-8 in the tie-break before Isner volleyed the ball into the net to give Nadal set point and the former world number one clinched it when the American's return fell short of the net.
"I can certainly hold my head high when I look back at this tournament. I just played against one of the best tennis players in the world," Isner said.
Nadal started to move Isner around the hot Ohio court with clinical cross-court forehands and volleys but again the match went with serve.

Two thunderous forehands put Nadal two match points away from victory in the 10th game but the hard-working Isner extinguished the Spaniard's chances with two inch-perfect backhands to level the match at 5-5.
The set went into a second tie-break but it was the two-time Wimbledon champion who held his nerve to take a 5-3 lead before clinching victory in the 10th point.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic says No. 3 Rafael Nadal has been the world's best player this year. The Spaniard missed the first month of the season due to a knee injury, but since that time has won eight titles, including his eighth Roland Garros crown and four Masters 1000 titles.

Nadal, who beat Djokovic in last Sunday's Montreal semifinals, leads the ATP points race with 8,010, which is 1,420 points more than Djokovic.

"Rafa since he's come back has been the best player in the world, no question about it," Djokovic told ESPN television. "I think he's more aggressive. [In Montreal] he was very aggressive, stepping in, [showing] variety in the game, but it was still a very close match.”

Rafael Nadal plays the 22nd ranked player player, American John Isner, later today (Sunday, August 18, 2013 @ 17.30 GMT. If Nadal wins, he 'd leap frog Andy Murray to become No 2 in the world.

SportsNadal Topples Federer In Cincinnati Masters by isonlagba(op): 7:09am On Aug 17, 2013
Nadal has come back to defeat Roger Federer 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in their blockbuster quarter-final duel under the lights in Cincinnati. It was their 31st encounter, one of their very best, and one that ended in dramatic fashion on Nadal's fifth match point.

Nadal, last week’s champion in Montreal, extended his winning streak on hard courts in 2013 to 13-0 with the win. He has moved one step closer to claiming his fifth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown of the year, a feat he has yet to accomplish in his storied career. Federer, meanwhile, was denied his first Masters 1000 title since hoisting the trophy here last year. The quarter-final was his 60th at the Masters 1000 level.

With Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray losing earlier in the day, Nadal is further closing in on them in the battle for the year-end World No. 1. He has already won 1500 Emirates ATP Rankings points this year, the most on the ATP World Tour.

Federer captured the first set 7-5, pouncing on a late break point at 5-5 30/40. Nadal, however, battled back with a late break of his own, converting on his second set point with a forehand down-the-line.

Federer had executed a highly aggressive game plan early on, which included topping many backhand returns rather than engaging his customary slice, and attacking the net with authority. Nadal turned the tables late in the second set, anticipating his intentions and employing a highly efficient brand of tennis from the baseline. Federer’s unforced error count would rise to 44 as Nadal continued to apply pressure on his serve with deep angled returns with significant pace.

Nadal took an immediate lead in the third set, breaking for 2-0 and holding serve from there to the finish line. In a dramatic final game, Federer rallied from 0/40 and eventually saved four match points before Nadal rifled a forehand down the line to end the match. The Hawkeye replay, shown only on television, revealed that his shot had missed by the narrowest of margins, but only after he had shaken hands with Federer, who did not challenge.

"I'm happy with my progress along the way," Federer said. "Could have won tonight, should have won tonight, who knows? But at the end, I think Rafa's confidence and the way he's playing at the moment got him through. So for me, I think it was a good step in the right direction."

Nadal was pleased with his mid-match adjustments. "I think my movement starts to be better, more intensity. I started to put more balls inside on the return, and I started to have more times control of the ball from the baseline with my forehand, something that didn't happen the first set and a half...But the match was there. It was very close. He had a good chance in the second. I think I played a good few points in important moments."

The Spaniard has improved to an impressive 12-1 in decisive sets on the year and 14-1 against Top 10 opponents. Nadal is off to a career-best start with a 51-3 match record and eight ATP World Tour titles.

Nadal is on the precipice of a 37th Masters 1000 final, with a semi-final encounter against Tomas Berdych coming on Saturday. Berdych has won just two sets in the last 13 matches of their rivalry, which Nadal leads 14-3.

SportsIs This Joke On Serena Williams Offensive Or Not? by isonlagba(op): 1:05am On Aug 15, 2013
In Brazil for an exhibition match against Maria Sharapova over the weekend, Caroline Wozniacki decided to channel her inner Serena Williams. The Danish tennis star stuffed her shirt and skirt with towels and pranced around the court.

The crowd - which included bemused onlooker Roger Federer - laughed and whistled at the imitation of the voluptuous WTA player of the year.

The reaction online was mixed. Yahoo Sports deemed the imitation "hilarious" but USA Today's Chris Chase called it a "disappointment."

Meanwhile others on social media deemed it outright offensive. One commentator on tumblr wrote: "It may have been done in 'jest,' but I love how people can turn a black woman's body and sexuality into a caricature."

One article on feministing.com said: "Given the history and current-day context of racialized standards of beauty, and the hypersexualization of people of color, when a white woman makes fun of a black women's body, especially in a way that hypersexualizes her and draws on the stereotype of black women's big butts, it's racist."

Wozniacki has done the Serena imitation before, dancing with extra padding in her shirt and skirt to a Rihanna song at an exhibition match in Slovakia last year.

And she's not the only one. Recently retired tennis player Andy Roddick did his best Serena impersonation during an exhibition match in Toronto in November. Novak Djokovic did the same earlier this year.

Williams has not publicly said that the imitations offend her but she did address the issue of body types for female American-American women earlier this year. In September, Williams said she was alarmed by the U.S. Tennis Association's decision to hold top junior player Taylor Townsend (who is black) out of competition over concerns about her fitness.

"She's so sweet and she works so hard," she said. "For a female, particularly, in the United States, in particular, and African-American, to have to deal with that is unnecessary. ... Women athletes come in all different sizes and shapes and colors and everything. I think you can see that more than anywhere on the tennis tour."

Williams won Wimbledon, the U.S. Open and the Olympic gold medal in 2012, compiling a tour-best 58-4 record and seven titles.

MONTREAL (AP)—Rafael Nadal beat Milos Raonic 6-2, 6-2 on Sunday in the Rogers Cup final, spoiling Raonic's bid to become the first Canadian winner in the event in 55 years.

Robert Bedard, the last Canadian to win what was then called the Canadian Open in 1955, was in attendance to see Nadal claim his third Rogers Cup title. The Spanish star also won in 2005 and 2008.

Raonic was the first Canadian since the now 81-year-old Bedard even to reach the final.

Nadal, playing his first tournament since a first-round loss at Wimbledon in June, posted his eighth tournament win this year and the 58th of his career. On Saturday night in the semifinals, Nadal beat two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (2).

By reaching the final, the 22-year-old Raonic will move up to 10th in world rankings, a record for a Canadian. He will be the youngest player in the top 10. Nadal will move from fourth to third.

Raonic has worn different colored Davis Cup-style shirts with a maple leaf over the heart all week, but saved a red-and-white one for the final. It didn't help as Nadal needed just 1 hour, 8 minutes to win.

The Uniprix Stadium crowd was solidly behind Raonic throughout the one-sided match.

Nadal's all-around game, particularly his superior passing shots and baseline play, proved too much for the power-hitting Raonic, who was only effective in games in which his booming serve was working.

On a windy afternoon, Nadal had two service breaks in the first set, including one after trailing 0-40, and broke again to open the second. At 2-1 in the second set, Raonic wasted three break points to let his best chance for a break slip away.

The Spaniard broke again for a 5-2 lead and served out the match.

Nadal is 4-0 against Raonic in his career.

Nadal stretched his record for wins in Masters series tournaments to 25 with his fourth this year. He is 48-3 and has reached the final of 10 out of 11 tournaments in 2013.

Raonic's victory over Vasek Pospisil of Vernon, B.C., on Saturday marked the first time two Canadians were in the semifinals of an ATP Tour event since Andrew Sznajder and Martin Wosterholme in 1990 at Rio de Janeiro.

The last Canadian to get that far in the Rogers Cup, then called the Canadian Open, was Mike Belkin of Montreal in 1969.

Now, let's quickly check some records to prove to all (once and for all) that Rafael Nadal is indeed the GOAT in Tennis:

25 Master 1000 titles and 4 this year. How many more will Rafa win?

To give some perspective, remember that only Roger has more than 20, Djokovic 14, and Pete Sampras has only 11. Here is the current list:

1) Nadal: 25
2) Federer: 21
3) Agassi: 17
4) Djokovic: 14
5) Sampras: 11

'It's a wonderful place to be': Tina Turner opens up about marriage after tying the knot with Erwin Bach in dramatic green and black gown

She tied the knot with her long-term love Erwin Bach at a private ceremony in Switzerland over the weekend.
And now Tina Turner has opened up about the wedding, for which she wore a green and black silk Armani gown with Swarovski crystals.
Describing marriage as 'a wonderful place to be', the 73-year-old music icon admitted that she wanted to put her own stamp on a traditional American ceremony. Her list of high profile guests included Oprah Winfrey, the world's richest celebrity, who suffered a seeming racist attack whilst shopping in a Swiss shop.

Tina admitted that she saw the gown on a catwalk in Beijing and decided that she had to have the eye-catching creation.

'I thought, 'I gotta have that, even if I never wear it'', she said. 'Then I thought, 'I know, that will be my wedding dress'.'

And while Tina made sure that all eyes were on her in the dramatic silk wedding dress, all the female guests wore white and the men wore black tie.

Describing the type of ceremony that they had, the practicing Buddhist said: 'The American tradition I grew up with, tailoring it a little bit to me.'

According to Swiss media, 120 guests were invited to the event at the couple's Swiss home, the Chateau Algonquin estate in the Kuesnacht municipality on last Sunday.

They also reportedly increased the security at their party by having wedding planners put up a red canvas screen at the foot of their garden, as well as police cordoning off the water outside their property.

However, police spokeswoman Esther Surber told AFP that the zone was cordoned off 'not because Tina Turner wants this (but) to avoid many boats' crowding near the manor in Kuesnacht, on Lake Zurich.

The couple, who have been together for 27 years after meeting at Heathrow airport, jetted off to Italy after the wedding for their honeymoon.
