However, this doesn’t happen always. Not every relationship end up in marriage and in some cases, a few may look like they will but at the long run, the women get to discover it’s a ghost chase with those men.

Ladies unlike the men have the urge to settle down quickly and start a family. Most men often feel pressurized when it comes to this issue of settling down with a lady and getting married. As ladies, what are the implications of dating men who aren’t ready to settle down and what are the signs that say a man isn’t ready to settle down.


1. Lack Of Commitment
This isn’t so difficult to observe. When a man shows no zeal or interest in making future plans with a woman, then the future of that relationship itself is questionable. Men like these are hard to make plans with. They probably want to have fun and keep things as they are. They prefer the relationship to be as plain as possible and may suggest keeping things as they are for a while. They avoid complications that may arise from meeting the lady’s family members and could date the woman for as long as possible without suggesting they get engaged or seal the relationship.

2. Money Minded
A man who is passion driven and ambitious may not want to settle down until he’s attained stability in his finances and is comfortable. Men with this kind of mentality would always want to make headway with their careers first before plunging deeper into a relationship. They understand that without money, marriage is a bridge they may never cross.

3. Failure To Plan His Life With You
A man who doesn’t let his girlfriend in on the little details of his life isn’t ready to take any step towards settling down. Not only is he expected to ask the woman about plans for her life, he should be able to discuss the things he hopes to achieve with her as well. This would give the lady a sense of belonging and both of them could work things out from that vantage point. A man who wouldn’t share details of his work and family shows he’s not ready to settle down. He prefers to be as shady as possible.

4. Lack Of Responsibility
A man who cannot cater for the needs of his girlfriend and people around him strikes one as being irresponsible. Men like these often lack the initiative to do things on their own and when they do, it turns out to be the wrong things. They would rather blow large amount of money away on irrelevant things and get stranded on the major projects of their lives. They have no set priorities and would be quick to jump off the cliff with a new person of interest. The ladies in their lives have a feeling of insecurity due to their recklessness. Men like these could engage a woman for as long as possible and never make plans to marry her. Life is all about fun and adventure to them.

5. Secretive
Some men are weird and secretive. Everything is coded with them. They avoid taking the ladies out to major functions that involves family and friends. They are more or less afraid to be seen in public with these ladies. They avoid the word marriage and make the women feel they are being rushed when the women demand for more. They also try as much as possible to make their family members out of the ladies’ reach and hide under the pretense of being too busy. These signs show a man isn’t ready to settle down.
