Shocking! Ameachi’s Aide, Kachi Nwokocha Sponsored Gang That Beheaded Police DS

A member of the gang that killed Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohammed Alkali, and his driver in Uju Forest, Omoku area of Rivers State, Christian Chukwuemela Ekikeme (22) has linked a top member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Kachi Nwokocha, who is also an aide of the Minister of Transportation and immediate past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Ameachi as sponsor of the gang.

Full name of Kachi Nwokocha listed as the sponsor of the gang is Augustine Kachi Nwokocha and incidentally, he is a top APC member and close lieutenant of Ameachi. He was Commisioner for Power under Ameachi.

In a petition written by Ameachi to the Inspector-General of Police on March 27, 2015, alleging arrest and killing of APC members in Rivers State by the police, Augustine Kachi Nwokocha was listed as number 145 on the list of APC that Ameachi claimed were being threatened and harassed, using Police in Rivers State and Zone 6, Calabar.

Christian Chukwuemela Ekikeme, who was arrested with the late officer’s phone, was nabbed at about 6pm last Saturday, following six days of tracking the cult gang that ambushed and killed Mr. Alkali and his driver, Sergeant Peter Uchi, during the 10 December federal legislative re-run polls in Rivers state.

He allegedly listed other gang members as Kelvin, John Ahiaikwo, Chukwuemela AKA Jungle Justice, Izu, Bright (Gang leader), Okechukwu, Ngozi, Christian, himself, and Kachi Nwokocha, who is their sponsor.

Arrest of Christian Chukwuemela Ekikeme was made possible by the support of the Police Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) and the 48 Division of Police Mobile.

“Ekiekeme, who is also known as Prince Okoroma, an indigene of Okposi village, near Omoku, was arrested by the operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Response Team (IRT) in Omoku, when he came out from the creek to visit his girlfriend,” sources disclosed.

Sources revealed that he confessed to the beheading of the DSP, adding that his head and driver’s body were thrown into a river while the white Mitsubishi pick-up van belonging to the police was parked deep in Uju Forest with the key stuck in the ignition.

He allegedly confessed that he and nine members of his gang have seven AK-47 rifles, two pump action guns and that they ambushed the police team because they felt they were against their party.

PoliticsOndo: Akeredolu Loses Bid To Stop Suit Challenging His Candidacy by IsThisChange(op): 8:15am On Dec 17, 2016
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday cleared the way for a suit challenging the emergence of Ondo State Governor-elect, Olurotimi Akeredolu, as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the recently concluded governorship election in Ondo State.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, in a ruling, dismissed the notice of preliminary objection challenging the competence of the suit, which was filed by Akeredolu’s co-aspirant in the APC’s primary, Olusegun Abraham.

The judge dismissed Akeredolu’s objection anchored on the ground that he was not properly served with the court processes. The judge said the argument was without merit.

Justice Dimgba, after dismissing Akeredolu’s objection on Friday, adjourned till February 2, 2017 for the hearing of the substantive suit.

The suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/788/2016 was filed by Abraham through his lawyer, Prof. Yemi Akinseye-George (SAN).

The plaintiff’s suit is, among others, challenging the competence of the last APC’s governorship primary election in Ondo State held on September 3 this year.

The plaintiff, who raised eight questions for determination, is praying the court to, among others, declare that the primary was held in violation of provisions of the APC’s Electoral Guidelines for Governorship Primary Election 2014.

He said the primary also flouted the party’s constitution and was therefore invalid and incapable of validly producing Akeredolu as a candidate.

He also seeks an order setting aside the primary for alleged non-compliance with the provisions of the party’s primary election guidelines and constitution.

Abraham, who emerged second in the primary, equally asked the court to set aside the purported submission of Akeredolu’s name to INEC by Odigie-Oyegun and the electoral body’s acceptance of the name as the APC’s candidate for the forthcoming governorship election.

Amaechi, APC assure Akin Fokalade, other SARS officers caught on tape stealing INEC results sheets, of FG protection

Minister for Transportation, Mr Rotimi Ameachi yesterday, assured officers of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) caught on camera, snatching ballot boxes during the last Saturday rerun elections in Rivers State of protection by the federal government.

Amaechi gave the assurance during a meeting held at his residence yesterday and it had in attendance the Officer in Charge (OC) SARS, Mr Akin Fokarade, ACP Stephen Hasso, Senator Magnus Abe, Hon Barry Mpigi, Rotimi Ameachi and some other stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Akin Fokalade and ACP Steven Hasso who were said to have arrived together in an ash coloured Toyota Camry car looked visibly shaken.
They were however assured by Rotimi Ameachi that they would not be left alone as they had done a good job for the APC. Minister Ameachi reminded them of the press statement made by the IGP praising their conduct during the election and assured them of total protection from the police high command.

BREAKING!!! Massive Protest Demanding for Wike’s Resignation Happening Now in P/H (Photos)

Thousands of Rivers People who included leaders, supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state Friday took to the streets of Port Harcourt. This is coming barely 24 hours after the state governor, Nyesom Wike led other PDP members and supporters to the Force State Headquarters of the Nigeria Police, demanding the removal of police officers he alleged were compromised during the December 10 legislative rerun elections in the state.

The APC protesters were countering the demand of Gov.Wike and his party, the PDP. The APC protesters led by the Party’s National Assistant Secretary and Ambassador-Designate, Chief Oji Ngofa demanded that the police officers in charge of SARS, ACP Akin Fakolade and ACP Stephen Hasso in charge of operation MUST not be transferred outside the state.

They insisted that both Hasso and Fakolade are PROFESSIONAL police officers.

The protesters also visited the INEC office in Portharcourt, demanding the immediate removal of the Rivers INEC REC, Iniede Ikoiwak over ignominious rigging in connivance with Wike and the PDP. Furthermore, they also called for the immediate resignation of the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, for being responsible for the series of killings in the state.

The protesters carried placrads with various inscriptions including, “Wike The Killer Governor”.

Versatile Reporters recalls that an audio tape allegedly involving the governor had gone viral yesterday. In the tape, the governor was heard threatening to kill an unnamed INEC official from Plateau State if He fails to rig the rerun elections in favour of the PDP.

Meanwhile, the state commissioner of Information, Austin Tam-George has denied and rejected the audio-tape saying its a hatched plan by the opposition APC to tarnish the ever rising profile of the Governor.

They also agreed that a counter protest in their support would be held in Port Harcourt tomorrow the 16th of December.
Hon Asita the deputy governorship candidate of the APC in the last governorship election was immediately called to mobilise our members for the protest.

Ameachi informed them that he would continue to build up on the media gains from the audio tape that was given to Sahara Reporters.
Also agreed was that a massive media campaign would be launched such that in the next few weeks people's attention would be redirected and they would have forgotten about them.

Magu is a level 14 civil servant. He is a Deputy Commissioner of Police with a terrible record.
He was once detained for 4 months and kicked out of the EFCC by Farida Waziri for his criminal activities such as bribe taking and stealing recovered funds. Even the Police IG suspended him from the police for some time as a result of that.

It was the former Minster of Police Affairs, Adamu Waziri, that had him reinstated in the police Force after Alhaji Kashim Imam and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu made appeals on his behalf.

They eventually got him back into the EFCC after Waziri was sacked and Lamorde was brought in as Chairman. Magu is Ribadus boy but even Ribadu can no longer control him.

Many have died in mysterious circumstances in the EFCC cells in the last one year under his watch.

Many are people locked up illegally in the EFCC cells including kids as young as 3 month old baby.

Many court orders are regularly breached. Many innocent people have had their bank accounts frozen illegally.

Many people have been coerced into giving money back to EFCC by threats and extortion and such monies were never accounted for or documented. Many people are in long term illegal detention.

Many of his friends of the likes of Ribadu and Lamorde are being protected from prosecution even though they took so much money.
Ribadu collected one hundred million naira in 2015 from Jonathan's presidential campaign organization yet he was never questioned as Magu covered him up.

EFCC under him is a northern enclave where christians and southerners and middle belters are treated like faeces .
His job was to torment and humiliate leading members of the opposition and to keep them busy. Especially those that are very vocal and that criticise the government.

He got carried away in these acts in a bid to ensure his confirmation.

His problem was that he enjoyed doing it and he did it with so much impunity that he made even more enemies for the government.

He couldn't make a difference between persecution and prosecution. To him they were one and the same thing .

The SSS report exposed his front who is a retired Air Vice Marshall Usman who was toll recently in SSS custody.

Air Vice Marshall Usman has completely exposed Magu and all the kickbacks he was collecting on his behalf. Usman is also reported as having had a love affair with the wife of a Major leader in government and Magu used that to blackmail him and as leverage aginst him.

There is one Saru in the zone 7 office of EFCC in Abuja who is another of Magus fronts and he has collected millions of dollars in cash from accused people who he terrorised into giving him money on Magus behalf. There is also one Iliyasu who heads the Lagos office who does the same. These two police officers are very corrupt and very close to Magu.

Magu takes drugs. He is addicted to indian hemp and cocaine which is why he behaves like a madman.

He also uses the media to conduct media trials and witchunts on his victims including other members of the government such as the Presidential Chief of Staff Alhaji Anba Kyari and the DG SSS Alhaji Lawal Daura. He has sworn to get the two of them sacked and to prosecute them only because they have refused to cover him up with the President.

He is very close to the National Security Advisor Maj. Gen. Monguno who also uses him to collect money from his victims. He and Monguno are very close and they share many dirty secrets.

Magu's contacts in the media are Yusuf Alli of the Nation newspaper, one Eniola in the Punch Newspaper and Sowore of Saharareporters. He gives them millions of naira regularly. His official spokesman Wilson Uwajaren is the main link with the rest of the media and he has been given a large budget just to bribe them and keep them happy. The main media consultant to Magu is Kayode Komolafe of Thisday and he controls a network of reporters whose job is to protect and promote Magu and attack and demonise his victims and enemies. These people are all on his payroll and he uses them to churn out lies about those that he targets.

Magu is hated and feared by his own staff at the EFCC because they know that he is wicked and corrupt. And prior to this confirmation so many fetish acts were observed at the commission which left most of the staff worried for their lives.

He is a criminal and a sadist and they are planning to prosecute and jail him.
The world must know the truth about Ibrahim Magu.

PoliticsBREAKING: Senate Swears In New Rivers Senators, Adjourns Till January 10 by IsThisChange(op): 6:20pm On Dec 15, 2016
Senate president Bukola Saraki swore in the members of the upper house of legislature during plenary on Thursday, December 15.

Two of the new senators belong to the Peoples Democratic Party while the remaining on belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The new senators are :

George Sekibo (PDP) - Rivers East

Magnus Abe (APC) - Rivers South East

Osinachukwu Ideozu (PDP) - Rivers West.

The Senate also announced a recess which begins today, December 15 and ends on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

The senators applauded themselves for the massive amount of work they have done so far this year and noted that in the last few months, they have done the work of almost a year's worth.

Saraki echoed this much in his closing speech as the Senate closed down for the year, he said:

I want to thank all of you for the effort we put in this session.

Looking at the statistics of what we have been able to achieve since we returned, we've passed 18 Bills for Third Reading.
What we have done in 3 months cannot be compared to what we have done in the last one year.
Finally, I congratulate the three new Senators, we're happy that it is our motion that made this election possible.
Meanwhile, the Senate has rejected the confirmation of the appointment of acting EFCC chairman Ibrahim Magu.

The Senate claimed it was constrained from confirming Magu because of an unfavourable security report on him from the Department of State Service.

A federal high court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 ordered that Governor Ayodele Fayose’s accounts in Zenith Bank be unfrozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, with immediate effect.

The accounts were frozen by the EFCC in June 2016.

In his landmark judgment, Justice Taiwo Taiwo described the EFCC action as illegal, wrongful, unlawful and unconstitutional.

The judge said the EFCC action breached the governor’s fundamental rights to fair hearing, as the commission did not make him a party to the proceedings for the interim freezing of the account.

He said that the EFCC suppressed facts by not disclosing to the court that granted the interim freezing order that the two accounts that were frozen belonged to Governor who enjoys total constitutional immunity.

Justice Taiwo also said that the EFCC did not provide any credible evidence empowering it to carry out the freezing of the accounts using Zenith Bank as a proxy, whereas, Zenith Bank is a mere custodian and not the owner of the accounts, which evidence has shown belong to the Governor.

The judge ruled that being a person covered fully by Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution, no legal proceedings can be instituted against Governor Fayose.

He also said that any law including some sections of the EFCC acts like Sections 28, 31, and 44 that expropriate citizens rights must be construed strictly and usually in favour of citizens whose properties have been confiscated.

Governor Fayose’s counsel, Mike Ozekhome, a senior advocate of Nigeria, hailed the judgment, describing the judge as courageous and firm.
He said the judge, by the judgement laid to rest all the abracadabra of the EFCC in illegally, wrongfully, unlawfully and unconstitutionally going about on a rampage freezing Nigerian citizens accounts with reckless abandon.

Ozekhome also said that Justice Taiwo further restored the hope of Nigerians in the judiciary as the last hope of the common man and woman and the guardian sentinel of the civil rights, liberties and freedoms of Nigerians.

PoliticsAPC North-west ‘quashes’ Shehu Sani’s Suspension by IsThisChange(op): 8:31pm On Dec 10, 2016
The North West chapter of the All Progressive Party has quashed the suspension of Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, by the Kaduna State chapter of the party.

The party said “every disciplinary measure should strictly follow the Constitution of the party”.
Mr. Sani, who has been embroiled in a bitter row with Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was suspended twice by a faction of party loyal to Mr. El-Rufai.

But speaking at the party’s zonal meeting in Dutse, Jigawa State, on Saturday, the north-west national vice chairman, Inuwa Abdulkadir, said arbitrary actions by party leaders in states against members were invitation to anarchy.
He said intra-party wrangling has threatened the foundation of the party, as such, misunderstandings should be discussed openly to foster harmony and growth in the party.

“We should do all we could not to depart from the winning formula of our party in 2015,” he said.
Mr. Abdulkadir urged all the warring factions in Kaduna State to respect the reconciliation committee of the party headed by the chairman of north-west governors’ forum, Aminu Masari, for the good of the party.

The governors of Kano, Umar Ganduje; Katsina, Bello Masari; Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal; Kebbi, Abubakar Bagudu; and Jigawa, Abubakar Badaru, attended the meeting.

Foreign Affairs#GhanaElection 2016: President Mahama’s concession speech by IsThisChange(op): 11:28am On Dec 10, 2016
Good evening, my fellow countrymen and women. A few minutes ago, I made the most difficult phone call I have made, and may ever make, in my life: I called President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party to congratulate him on his well-fought and well-deserved victory in Wednesday’s election.

The win has been emphatic. If anybody has reason to doubt the presidential results, the sheer magnitude of the defeat, which our parliamentary candidates have suffered, is the clearest indication that we have outlived our welcome.

Telling the world that I would graciously accept the outcome of the election was one thing, but confronting the stark reality of an electoral defeat is another harrowing experience altogether. But I had no option. The people of Ghana have said emphatically that they are taking away the power they gave to me four years ago, and I have no power to say no. Besides, I love the country that has given me the opportunity to serve in various capacities for nearly two decades and I will not do anything to undermine our democracy or threaten the peace we enjoy.

Before I continue, permit me to congratulate the NDC family, especially my campaign team, for putting up such a spirited fight. When I was growing up in northern Ghana, I used to hear stories of very spiritually powerful and dreadful cattle rustlers who informed cattle rearers before they actually moved in to steal the animals. They would tell the owner that “tonight, we will come and steal your cattle.” They were so powerful that they cast spells on those policing the cattle and drive away the animals away before the men who gathered to stop them could wake up from their deep sleep to gnash their teeth and endure the scornful gossips of their women in the morning.

When the time was up for these cattle rustlers, however, they were overpowered and captured by women. I think we lost because our time was simply up, and no amount of deceptive campaign promises could keep us in power. No amount of monopolization of the media space could save us. No amount of money could stop our defeat. No amount of local and international celebrity endorsements could help us. And no amount of vote buying could stand the irresistible hurricane of change that shook our nation on Wednesday.

I will urge my party members to stop the “blamestorming” that has started so that we brainstorm on how to get ourselves out of the mess we have put ourselves in. The future of our great party looks gloomy and we have to start work on how to get ourselves out of what appears like an eternal stay in opposition. In life, when you are hit by the subduing blow of misfortune, you have two options. You can allow that blow to crush you. You can also move on with the enormous lessons such misfortunes often present. I cannot immediately tell my next move in life, politics and my role in our great party. But if I should ever make a comeback to politics, the lessons I have learnt from our defeat should serve as the moral code which will guide how I guide myself.

I have learnt that the Ghanaian voter, though mainly uneducated and simple, is more sophisticated than we thought. I have learnt that it is unacceptable for the people to loot, hoard and splash during elections.

I have learnt that the calls of the noisy minority cannot be ignored because they largely shape the opinions of the silent minority, who we politicians exploit for our selfish gain. I have learnt that not all those who criticised us hated us. Sometimes the best way to express your love for someone is to be critical of their actions. If I should ever return, I will not display a “dead-goat syndrome” towards disaffection of the masses.

When those who opposed us cried foul, we retorted, “Hate can’t win.” Tonight, however, I am the first to admit that some hate can win. This election has taught me that the hate of corruption can win. It has taught me that hate of incompetence can win. Our defeat has taught me that hate of impunity can win. I have learnt that the hate of the obscene display of ill-gotten opulence wins. I have learnt that hate of mediocrity and deception definitely wins. And I have learnt that hating evil will forever triumph over the love of evil. That was what happened on Wednesday.

Another important lesson I have learnt from this defeat is that the success or failure of a leader depends on the kind of people he or she surrounds themselves with. While Rawlings appointed the likes of Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas as deputy ministers, I made the mistake of giving that respectable position to the likes of John Oti Bless. I have now realised, rather too late, that if I had kept the likes of Ben Dotsei Malor and Dr. Raymond Atuguba around me, they would have injected some semblance of sanity into the Presidency and given that high office an aura of respectability and decency. The praise-singing sycophants who act on the dictates of their stomachs are only specialized at telling you what you want to hear. Unfortunately, I did not listen to voices of reason. Our elders say a disease that will kill a man first breaks sticks into his ears.

A lot of the people who have called me to comfort me have maintained that I have been let down by my ministers and the people I trusted so much. I wish to take the blame for everything that happened to me. It is said that a man may fail many times but he is not a failure until he blames others for his failures. Nobody forced my appointees on me. Our elders say God gives us our friends but we choose our friends. And it is us, and not God, who will bear the consequences of any choice we make. Like the wood insect that gathers sticks on its head, I have brought this upon myself, and I will carry it alone.

Fellow Ghanaians, before I end, I will like to wish our President-elect, Nana Akufo Addo, the best of luck in his administration. I will, however, like to caution him to be very careful in order not to repeat the mistakes I made in my administration. His success or failure depends on the kinds of people he appoints. He should focus on the people and not the party. He should remember that after four years, Ghanaians will be demanding accountability from him. He and the NPP should remember that the shea butter that is gloating over the ill-fated salt because of a heavy downpour should fortify itself with ice before the sun rises. What has befallen us can befall you if you allow the intoxicating effect of power to blind you.

In 2008, the NDC won mainly because the NPP’s stronghold in Ashanti Region did not vote massively. In 2016, the NDC lost partly because our stronghold in the Volta Region taught us a lesson that we will never forget. We should begin to see them see human beings, and not votes, when we ever occupy any political office. In the NDC, Volta Region sounded like Voter Region. We referred to the Volta Region as our World Bank, but they turned out to be a DKM Microfinance when it mattered most.

Finally, I will urge civil society and the media to keep a critical eye on the new administration if our country can ever develop. I have realised that the corrupt journalists and members of the civil society who connived with officials of my administration to defraud the state or cover up rot did not only hurt the country but they are part of the reason I have to forever live with the humiliation of the first one-term president in the Fourth Republic. PoliticsKill Amina Zakari, Soyebi Or Any INEC Official Trying To Rig In Ondo: AD Group by IsThisChange(op): 3:42pm On Nov 25, 2016
A group, the Alliance for Democracy Renewal Group (ADRG) has called on all indigenes of Ondo State to kill anyone who attempts to rig tomorrow’s guber polls in the State. The group said the only option left for the people of Ondo is for them to protect their votes at all cost and by any means necessary. Read statement below:

In view of the outright manipulation of the will of the people as expressed through their votes under the tenure of the Professor Yakub Mahmud as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the consistent manipulation of the electoral process across the country by Hajia Amina Zakari, INEC Commissioner for North West, and Prince Adedeji Soyebi, INEC Commssioner for the South West, we are hereby constrained to making this tough call on the people of Ondo State.

We are aware of the nefarious plans of certain staff of INEC to blatantly manipulate and subvert the Ondo State gubernatorial electoral process in favour of the candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) – Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

This plan also includes the mobilizing Hajia Zakari and Prince Soyebi to subvert the electoral process by giving cash inducements to INEC staff assigned to the elections as well as the falsification of results sheets, the distribution of fake result sheets, cancellation of elections in areas that are deemed unfavourable to the APC candidate and so on.

In view of all of the above, and with the noble intention to preserve the will of the Ondo State people, we declare that it is an act of patriotism to spill the blood of Hajia Amina Zakari found anywhere trying to rig the election within Ondo State for the duration of the gubernatorial elections and collation of results.

It is also permissible and noble to spill the blood of Prince Adedeji Soyebi and/or ANY other official or staff of INEC that is found to be subverting the will of the people by rigging the election. This includes all members of the Nigerian Police or any security agency drafted in to maintain the peace and order in the State during the elections but who violates his constitutional duty by collecting money from desperate politicians to subvert the will of the Ondo people.

The people of Ondo State must be allowed to their constitutional right to freely elect their governor for the next 4 years. If we have to be violent to protect and promote that right, then we will be violent in our actions and conduct.

A word is enough for the wise.
