what is happening to channels tv online it has not worked for 6 days for some of us in London that is hard. |
I am not defending anybody here o, but i am told the executive was kept in the dark regarding the trip how far that is true me i don't know but the COS to the governor who is a personal friend Dr. Adeolu Akande said as much. If it is the Ajimobi i know, i will be surprised if he approved this trip it is tantamount to a Damascus conversion. The man is averse to spending money whether his or govts. |
This Oyo Speaker worked for so many years in the Home Office in UK rising to become a senior manager, she lived in London for over 25years her children are all in London this puts a lie to the thinking that only diaspora Nigerians can save Nigeria. I spoke with the Chief of Staff to Oyo State governor on Friday and he said the governor is hopping mad with anger 'cos this trip was arranged without the knowledge of the executive he was of the opinion that they cleverly avoided Ajimobi because he would have kicked against the trip big time. |
I personally would have made June 12 democracy day in his honour and not Unilag, what he has done is to try confine the June 12 struggle to a southwest affair when indeed Abiola won across the land. |
Why is it cheap? It does not mean the Yorubas will vote or not vote for him in 2015, fact is Abiola ought to have been recognised a long time ago for his contributions to this democratic dispensation. |
Young man, please take the GTB offer quick quick and forget the idea of Masters abroad, abeg u fit do am online nowadays and for your information Masters abroad is so overated and my golden advice to you is to take the job. Gosh!!! it is a no brainer and not an hobbsian choice my friend. I have given you this advice as a GM HR & Strategy of a stock exchange quoted top 30 firm here in Nigeria, i know the number of CVs my staff recieve on a daily basis and majority without equivocation are graduates of reputable unis in Canada, USA and UK. I have people in my organisation working for free just to have the work experience and believe me they came out with good Masters from univeristies like London, Manchester, Kings College Cambridge etc. GTB is a fantastic employer and you should be dancing the makossa and not be thinking of Masters. Oyinbo graduates are not hung up on masters you know, it is us Africans that keep amassing useless qualifications i graduated in Pol.Sc from Ife in 1989 went straight to UK as a citizen at the end of my NYSC IN 1990 and got a job immediately with British Telecomms of old within 3 months of landing in UK, it wasn't until 1997 eight years after graduation when i was already a senior manager with BT on a very comfortable salary did i enrol for a masters in University of London just for the fun of it and by 1999 i had a Masters degree in Developmental Economics. 4 years after in 2003 i enrolled to study Law graduated in 2007 and in 2009 was called to the bar; then i had long left BT was now working in HR for a top Investment bank in Canary Wharf UK from where i was brought to Lagos in 2010. You can see that i did not leave work as some stupid folks do in Nigeria to go do masters and then come back thinking the world will be their oyster. Out there is extremely competitive if you have a job or job offer grab it with both hands. |
A bomb went off near government house in Jalingo this morning, 5 policemen confirmed killed already it was appparently timed for the convoy of the police commissioner but he went past two minutes before the bomb went off. |

www.tydanjumafoundation.org that is where he put the money. It helps if we do a bit of research rather than just hastily curse. |
Guys, go to Ibadan premier hotel tomorrow you will fin Asiwaju Tinubu there, he went to London on Weds and is expected back today, he went for business and it is scary that people just sit down and peddle falsehood from their laptops. Please come to Ibadan tomorrow from 10am i will be there and please ban me from the Forum if the man does not show up in person. |
A tribe that can stay in a location where they are being slaughtered every hour because of their business, must be the one that really loves money, a tribe that can choose to live to 35years old as long as they will be multi-millionaires within that short life, must be the one that really loves money, a tribe that 90% of them are the ones caught for drugs or beheaded in Malaysia and China must really love money, a tribe that can't harness their political thoughts together just because of what they are going to eat must really love money. Guys, this ethnic baiting is puerile and uncalled for, Adetiloye is a stain on Nigerians and not a tribe; the Oyinbos only know Nigerians not Efik or Ibibio nor Fufulde. |
Stephanie Okereke getting an award from GEJ? and nairalanders are shocked? u surely no nothing that happens here in Abuja!!! ![]() |
Beaf, you are the one who is messed up in your brain, because if you were able to comprehend what both governors said, you will see how they have made sure that just like in every economy around the world that strives for development, they made sure Capital expenditure far outweighs re-current unlike what happens in Abuja where close to 80% is now being spent on recurrent!!! i am sure the white fibres in your farted brain also makes it impossible for you to understand that in a true Federal structure, the bulk of the collective patrimony of the nation belongs to the people and not the FG, hence the states that in the real sense have territorial integrity, should be the ones that get a lion share of the revenue in conjunction with the Local Governments. You allude to states going cap in hand to Abuja to beg for money, if only your convoluted brain has not resulted in warped thinking, you will perfectly understand that it is indeed the FG that has appropriated all the monies that ought to have remained in the states under a true Federal structure, taken it to Abuja and start sharing it the way they like, do you know that 65% of vat collection in Nigeria comes from the Southwest? yet the money is ferreted to Abuja when in an ideal Fedral structure the collecting states will remit a percentage to the FG. Do you know how many billions comes out of Lagos ports to the FG on a yearly basis? no you dont because your head is so deeply buried in GEJ's you know what, if that money largely stays in Lagos will Fashola be going to Abuja to meet GEJ for money, do you know the amount of vat that comes out of Oyo-State on a monthly basis? no you wouldn't ke? for your information vat alone from Oyo-state is nearly two and half times the allocation she gets from the federal purse. The federal government has no business sitting on 54% of the country's revenue, it is illogical, brainless and a product of the much maligned military rule that set us on the road to perdition and that golgotha we must eventually reach because things can no longer continue the way they are now, it is stupid for someone sitting in Abuja, negotiating for states how much they should pay their workers, it is daft for a police commissioner waiting for orders from Abuja before security can be maintained in Sepeteri or Lanlate, it is tantamount to madness for an arm of government that has no territory in the real sense and has the least responsibilities, sit on 54% of our collective patrimony. ![]() |
As long as Oloye Olusola Saraki is alive, he will not allow Bukola marry a second wife and more importantly the Ojora family of Lagos will have something to say about that. Bukola Saraki likes babes big time it was the governorship post that hampered him but now that he has all the time in the world in Abuja and the wife now spends much more time in London than Abuja, omo oloye has the freedom of the park literarily. But then who knows maybe the wife has given him the consent to marry wifey number 2. |
Pastorkun thanks for being sincerely wrong, i will not engage in arguments over my Pastor but i humbly submit you are sincerely wrong about a man i have known since 1995. |
Werepeleri thanks, i know we have a KICC in Abuja but i am looking to go to another church if possible. I remain a KICC member though. |
I am relocating to Abuja from next week to start a new job and will need advise on a very good word based church in that city. I sat under Matthew Ashimolowo in UK for over a decade and laterly under Dr. Sola Kolade of Vine Branch (his humility is second to none), the pastors must at least be sound on the exposition of his word like the aforementioned two and it helps if the choir is solid as well. Thanks in advance for your help. |
Please take the letter to any averagely good lawyer and let us test the law. Again i am sad that folks on this forum are alomost too eager to break the law all in the name of 'moving on' or 'not wanting landlord trouble' or 'if you dont pay the rent now you will spend the money'. I am sorry for this country of ours, really sorry if that is our mindest as a people. |
In view of the majority of responses to this thread, Nigeria has a lot of work to do if these contributors are a snap shot of our future leaders and that is putting it mildly. A man wants to develop his trunk B roads as an alternative to the Federal highways and all we are reading is that it is a white elephant project, how many people will use the road, how will it affect the lives of Osun people (haba)!!! he has failed to appoint commissioners etc. little wonder some people in the corridors of power think this is just a juvenile site, filled with people who can't differentiate their right from left although indeed that is not true. The response that really shocked me was the respondent that said how will a road that will pass through some major towns in Osun state affect the masses in Osun . Gosh!! and probably he/she is a university graduate. ![]() |
The beginning of the end for GEJ, please mark my words this singular action tonite will have a domino effect that will consume this democracy. You watch this space. |

The 0.5km portion that has just been repaired was causing 3hrs traffic coming from Ibadan approaching redeem, a friend who stayed with in my place in Ibadan nearly missed his flight back to USA 2 weeks ago because of that failed portion, a tanker over turned at that failed 0.5km spot just over 4 weeks ago spilling fuel and causing a 9 hour tailback on both ends, yet we have useless N/landers who reside in Europe and America and not been home in methusela years virtuperating balooney because someone thought it wise and right to fix the 0.5km portion. Awon were gbogbo maybe some of you ought to have perished at that spot to know how laudable the action of Amosun in fixing the portion was. The foolish PDP man that got the concession Wale Babalakin, was in Offa kwara state 2 weeks ago for Pa Oyawoye's burial, he avoided the road by flying in an helicopter from Lagos to Offa; how can he know what we are going through on the road? olori buruku omo ako ti ile ta, i work in Lagos Ikeja and reside in Ibadan so i ply the road every Monday morning 6am and Friday evening from 4pm, i have done this for the past 2 years and seen the road deteriorate progressively; yet i have just driven 27hours from Cypress Springs Texas to Burlington New Jersey in the last 2 days, not a pothole in sight makes you think once in a while that if not for patriotism or the zeal to make a difference one should not have relocated to Nigeria 3 years ago . Those who have brought us to this sorry state as a nation, may honey taste like bitter leaf in their mouths. ase edumare. |
Please the story is a lie, Bi-Courtney has not raised any money and talks are at an advanced stage with GEJ from the new ACN governors of SW to revoke the contract. I have first-hand information on this project, Babalakin is holding the country to ransom and the SW governors are tired of excuses since 2009 May hence they came together and with the assistance of Sanussi Daggash (left to him alone would have revoked the contract last year) to give the road to a new contractor from China who has the capacity both in finance and technical know-how to do the job. Babalakin is a fraud and this road has terribly exposed him even his father Justice Bola Babalakin rtd. is compelling him to drop the contract for competent hands. All his lies in the press will no longer wash. Can't do road in rainy season? olodo so what is Berger doing mile 2 to Badagry? or Hitech doing in Lekki which is even a more difficult terrain? or Kopek doing in PH. |
He has ruined the economy already, those of us in the private sector know that already. |
OAU Varsity museum is nice architecure in my opinion, it was opened in April.

Omatek Computers is owing at least 80% of her staff 9 months or more and the salary liability as at the end of January was in excess of N95m. The sad thing is that the woman who owns the company a certain Mrs. Seriki seems not to care. It is PLC by name but one man company by action. I have no pity for those who work for her my sister left the company last December and she is owed nearly N2m in salaries. 5 months. |
Those geriatrics criticising Sam's article are not Yoruba leaders, if you canvass the opinion of majority of the under 50 Yoruba people today who are politically savvy and saw a bit of Awolowo when they were growing up as teenagers you will find them linning up firmly behind Sam Omatseye. Please remove his name and substitute my name as the author of the article has been the refrain of the people who read the article and i spoke with. If you regard the Adebanjo's, Fasheuns et.al as Yoruba leaders then you sure don't know what the thinking of the younger generation is. |
Guys just STFU Tinubu has nothing to do with the airline and this has been 4 pages of vituperating vapour. I find it very annoying that someone here is calling me a Tinubu agent just because i told him the truth Tinubu does not own Firstnation now you can choose what you want to believe. My company sourced the financing from as far places as Ukraine and when i read what pple are writing i surely now know when they say ignorance is a disease. Haba!!!! telling you the truth but choosing to believe a lie. O ga o |
I shudder at how rumours and lies pass for the truth in Nigeria Please everyone on nairaland read carefully, Firstnation airline has nothing to do whatsoever with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, i know the owners and though i am not obliged to name them anyone can go to CAC and find out, all i can say is that BellView has a big say in the ownership with some new investors including a recent state governor from the SW of Nigeria. Please do not believe the lies i know everything about this new airline because i was fully involved from the onset if however you choose to believe that it is Tinubu's God bless your beer parlour ignorance. The thing is we were all laughing in my office when this news broke a few days ago, the guys that brokered the multi-lateral financing and sourced the loans from several banks abroad all saw the funny side of the story and it was not after the story highlighted the similarity with Nation newspaper that we noticed it.This airline has nothing to do with Tinubu and please dont go out to beer parlours and pepper soup joints to spread falsehood. We know the owners and Tinubu is not. Haba!!!! naija and unsubstantiated stories. |
He was killed not in Ile-Ife but in Ibadan on Saturday night during the riots between the two foolish factions that claimed 27 lives |

. Gosh!! and probably he/she is a university graduate.
