Sir shagati the model is a 6 series. These are quite low but they do okay on lagos roads. Did you encounter any larger than usual potholes and/or really bad roads?

I really want to drive to accra but i dont know if i can in my car. Ive increased the high by about 3 inches by adding bigger sized rims but i keep hearing mixed stories about the state of the roads

Lemmie just say, i have spent close to N150,000 on smile in 3 months. They have the most expensive data rate (1k per Gb) plus the data drains a lot quicker. Honestly, when compared to anything else, its not worth investing in, at least until the cost per Gb goes down

It had a host of issues in it that would easily run into 6 figures and the owner was asking for 2.5m for it otherwise hell swap it with a "suitable" car.

Here's the question.

Baba no vex i didnt get any answers on that one even after bumping it several times. the estimated time of berthing was 4th jan. I called the line agent in lagos and they claim istra ace doesnt get there until 22nd jan. Lagos also doesnt show up on its itinery. It should arrive in tema on the 6th jan according to AIS

Konnektions146: the vessel would berth in Tema, Ghana in about 24hrs, its currently close to Ghana, den move from there.

Hey all i need help from the shipping gurus on this forum. I have a car that shipped on 'Istra ace' from sheerness, i want to find out when it berths in lagos. THe shipping date was 21st of december but i havent been able to get a confirmation on the exact date of arrival. Any help?

@ femmy I am habing trouble. My shipper has sent me two different ship names. One called istra ace and one called asian glory. Im sure this is a mistake on his part but can you please help me check which one is due to berth in lagos on the 4th pf jan because its not showing on marine traffic

I think the bluish white smoke is related to the engine oil mixing with the coolant. You will need a new crank case valve in that case.

Mlud: If you must convert a car from RHD to LHD in Nigeria make it a fairly simple car that car "converters" have done repeatedly and have some experience of. Run about Japanese saloons, older European cars and Peugeot 406s come to mind. The older the car the better. Some claim a good success rate with newer cars (up to 8 years old) and I'm sure some of them are quite good.

However if you convert a car such as the BMW 645 coupe I suspect your days of truly enjoying that car are over.

To be honest, i dont mind taking the risk driving the car in its current RHD state. I also dont mind selling the car but ive had to move back to lagos due to some unforseen circumstances so im just curious really to see if it can be done. I will be buying either a 2013 6 series or an R8 from the US but this was just to last me till then.

@ykman experts in converting a bmw 645?

Hey all

Basically im shipping my BMW 645 to lagos this week. What are the cost implications of converting to lhd ( if it can be done ) and whats the status on the RHD ban in nigeria? I know a couple of people who drive expensive cars that are rhd only and there dont seem to be any problems.

thinking about bringing my 645 to lagos but im just worried about the bmw servicing
