xristos: hmmm...finally someone with sense No he doesn't. 36 states and FCT effectively means 37 states. So 2/3 of 37 is no more than 25. You win if you have a majority that covers 25 states or more. What is special about FCT? You might as well say someone must win in Gombe or Bayelsa before legally becoming a valid president. |

Ceenachi: Tinubu should stop deceiving himself. He must show the world how he got 8.7million votes.
INEC spent a total of N105.25 billion to procure the B-VAS machines they boycotted. Nigeria is a brazen criminal enterprise that ought not to exist or sit among the comity of nations. He doesn't have to do anything. It is you and your petitioners that must establish his 8.7 million votes is fictitious. |

PrinceDoctor: I think that was their deal right from the primaries. Kalu was dancing around Lawan. Akpabio stood down for Tinubu; the first before others. That's why they gave him the ticket even though he didn't "participate" in the senatorial primaries. He's good to go! If you want deep and meaningful restructuring, manifesto- based legislation and ministers held accountable for their various ministries, you better make Oshiomole the Senate president. Akpabio' s work regarding NDDC, sidelining confirmed board members with delay tactics of bogus forensic audit, makes me think he's not really a progressive, a former PDP man also. |

Politics › Re: 13.1 Million People Voted Against APC And Tinubu by itsene: 6:38am On Mar 01, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: Here is a thought. 13.1 million people did not vote for APC, out of the 21 m who did vote.
If those 13.1 million people had voted for one party, APC would have been voted out. But because they voted for 3 different parties, the votes got divided, and APC won the election.
The truth is, APC lost this election. Most Nigerians did not vote for them, nor do they like them. But they won because Atiku and Peter Obi and Kwankwaso and Wike could not at the very least compromise with each other.
That is the sad cold truth. A disunited opposition loses the election.
Like I said, APC did not win this election, the opposition lost it. Campaign manager, save this wisdom for next time. In elections you vote FOR, not vote AGAINST. Those who approached this election with bitterness left with bitterness. |

FCT,Abuja inclusive
So he lost all those states including FCT and went further to win the elections? What kind of magic is that for someone who claims to have the popular votes? I can see how popular he is to have pulled that magic off. If he lost all the important states and FCT,how come then? Keep shooting yourself on the foot with all the claims. From losing those states,it means he's NEVER the will of the people, therefore he decided to manipulate anyother territory he got his co criminals to cover up which is evident from all we are seeing.
Tinubu with the aid of INEC chairman engaged in a very successful rigging galore! The law of nature will take its course moving forward. That's all I know. How it's gonna happen? I don't know.
He should carry his muslim-muslim ticket to Pakistan, they will welcome him awesomely with such ticket. Not this Nigeria.

Yamiriflathead:
Although disappointing Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting? This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.
I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is hopeless and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.
The take home from this defeat is..
Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW
Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas to contest for Elections in Lagos and
Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.
Congratulations to the incoming President of Nigeria BAT the ASIWAJU of Lagos nothwitstanding This is just silly. How many ijebus or Osinbajo supporters do you think voted for Tinubu? What about those still not happy about what happened to Ambode? Do you think Lagos for Lagosians means Lagos for yorubas? Don't overreact please. |
