Car Talk / Re: Need Help With Fixing My Clutch by itsmayiela(m): 7:17am On Dec 29, 2014 |
It's a familiar problem. don't be deceived by any mechanic into buying clutch cable or any part. Tell the mechanic to put a padding on the clutch cable. He should use a thick ring pad on the end of the clutch pad. If the padding is not thick enough, the problem will resume after a few days. I will send you picture of what i am explaining |

Car Talk / Re: Radiator Fan Constantly Running (even When Engine Is Off) by itsmayiela(m): 6:08pm On Nov 17, 2014 |
CityNG: Oh yes, roadside rewires, by default, always connect car fans to be constantly running. this process they cannot reverse. More reasons why we urge u guys to come establish decent garages here in naija. 2 Likes |

AutosBay: Oh yes, Autosbay won the day. it is surely the coolant sending unit sensor that got soaked with muddy waters and thereby created partial contact. The roadsider got the entire unit soaked in water containing detergent (i was scared the unit will be damaged) and got it thoroughly washed and sunned. The fans and the airconditioner have started behaving normal now. In all, the roadsider rewire collected N800 from me. Thanks to all NLanders for the info.

Its ur gear selector. Take it to any competent roadside mechie and ask him to fix ur gear selector Clue: it is fixed from under the car and not from the gear lever inside the car |

Car Talk / Re: Radiator Fan Constantly Running (even When Engine Is Off) by itsmayiela(m): 5:36pm On Nov 16, 2014 |
the raditor fan blows at a very slow speed when the engine is off but never switches off. we had to remove one of the battery's terminals b4 it went off. NB: the fan was still running even when we removed fuse 19 controlling the radiator fan |
Car Talk / Re: Radiator Fan Constantly Running (even When Engine Is Off) by itsmayiela(m): 5:32pm On Nov 16, 2014 |
Its a 1996 VW vento. yes, the roadside rewires did some magic on the thermostat and the car starts with the fan running (with or without ac)n yes, the fan runs all through for 2 hours or even more (after the engine has been shut down and has cooled off completely). The vehicle's ECU was swapped some weeks back but all had been okay except for this new development. Now, the fan hardly comes on when the AC is put on (it comes on and off arbitrarily and without any protocol). I suspect a bad relay or the coolant sensor (the roadside rewires will still feast on us again) |
Car Talk / Radiator Fan Constantly Running (even When Engine Is Off) by itsmayiela(m): 8:19am On Nov 16, 2014 |
HELP! I drove a friend's car and when i came to a stop, i discovered that the radiator fans are misbehaving. they are constantly running even when i off the ignition. this is bad. |

Car Talk / Re: Oppression & Extortion By Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA) by itsmayiela(m): 4:34pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
Those thugs in Edo called "Oshiomole police" are vampires. They are selective in their extortion. If your plate number is not carrying Edo state and you cannot speak Bini or Ishan, u die well. They will take you to their office along Sapele Road (b4 high court), deflate your tyres and then give you all sorts of outrageous charges. I love Oshiomole but this is one of his worst creations ever! |

Nairaland did not just crash. We only negotiated with Oga Seun and he agreed to retract some of those your mischievous posts and comments from the database. eg, "Stealing is not corruption", "Diaris god ooo", "Bringbackourgirls", etc. We thank Seun for his co-operation in surrendering your identities and data to us in exchange for some ghana-must-go. He is an astute businessman. #TeamGEJtill2019 |
Car Talk / Re: Honda Halla Or Golf 3 by itsmayiela(m): 9:24am On Jan 02, 2014 |
@OP, u shudnt be comparing golf3 with halla. I expected u to compare golf2 with halla. Honda halla is 1990 model while golf 3 is 1993-1997. Have u ever seen anybody use a halla as commercial taxi? No. It can't endure the ruggedity of constant braking and starting. If u need space in ur car, go for halla. If u need fuel economy, cheap maintenance, ruggedity and high resale value, go for golf3. I have used both |
Car Talk / Re: Reasons Why Real Men Still Drive Stick Cars .....manual by itsmayiela(m): 8:36am On Jan 02, 2014 |
if u are the type that wants the car to be in charge of your speed, then auto is your call. If you truly want to be in total control of your engine, then manual tranny is the best. If you want your senses to be alert at all times while driving, go for manual. If you want to relax ur muscles and senses while driving (and possibly fall asleep on the wheel), then go for auto. As for me, i love sleeping while driving and thats why i prefer auto to manual. |
Car Talk / Re: Toyota Highlander 06 Vibrates On Idle. by itsmayiela(m): 8:07am On Jan 02, 2014 |
why do people wash their car engines? Effizy i guess. U buy a car, u open the bonnet and show people how clean the engine is. Anyway, lets hope water didnt get into the ECU. Scan ur car with an OBD2 and lets see how we can assist |
Business / Re: Can A Customer Sue Bank For Undeposited Money Lost During Bank Robbery? by itsmayiela(m): 11:22pm On Jan 01, 2014 |
bank must reimburse. Reason is that the bank guarantees total security within the banking hall (thats why they carry out all forms of security checks b4 someone enters). If they wont reimburse, then they would have been encouraging customers to be making their security arrangements within the banking hall.........then we will all be coming into the bank with our arms and ammunitions to protect ourselves |
