When you have nothing to hide, then you’ll have nothing to fear. “I have openly given the people all the receipt of money that come to this state. “ The reason why most leaders of this country failed in the fight against corruption since 1999 is that they are corrupt themselves.” qoutes |
if that's d price for our rebirth, so be it. we all clamoured for change and it must come with some cost. |
change in all ramifications can only be gradual. almakura &co belong to d old generation whose understanding of governance is to lord it over d citizenry, while d young lady reps d young generation who over-believe in d rule of law. there's certainly going to be this type of clashes these days, but we will definitely get there. |
NA is working. when u are working, we know u are working. their evil days are numbered. |
everybody loses under this menace. bh violence is an ill wind dt even d boko boys themselves are feeling. |
true. no wonder twitter is fast growing as a social medium the way Etisalat is doing in d nigerian gsm space. |
if elRufai can repeat such excellent performance as a minister now that he's a guvnor, we would be better having Ribadu back on seat. one only hopes PMB would look beyond party affiliations to pick d best ones for d jobs. Obasanjo is only very clever &highly manipulative. MamaIyabo, iyabo & his other children did testify to this; he's no saint, he's just lucky. |
PMB is only trying to move us to dt level where governance in saner climes operate. era of paying exorbitantly just to see d wife or daughter of d president shd be over. |
It is being drummed into our ears that corruption is our greatest affliction and that it would kill us if we failed to kill it. That is half of the truth. Corruption itself is just a symptom of our worst disease: constitution. If Nigeria “dies” anytime the cause of its death would be printed boldly on its death certificate as the 1999 constitution. Just one example in closing. It was profitable for a manager with NITEL to live on corruption when that body was the sole telephone provider with 400,000 lines to 100 million people. He would make a fortune taking bribes from many people running after his few lines. If that manager were to be with one of the many GSM operators of today, he would wallow in penury if all he knows is shaking down those want lines as operators now beg people to take their lines. True statemnt! |
Op, my honest response.....God is! Modified my atheist friend says it's one unseen supreme being. Issorait. |
The kind of insults I see flying left & right on a mere tweet like this makes me shake my head for d present generation of Nairalanders. dis is not d NL we got addicted to some 6yrs past. d present gladiators are majorly intellectually shallow. No wonder romance threads take d lead nowadays, even at that, most posts there are still annoyingly childish. Not surprised those responsible posters of those days are only viewing as guests nowadays rather than allow themselves be insulted by brainless kids who, no thanks to d smartphone revolution, now swarm d great forum. |
And to think this man came into politics accidentally. If not Nigeria, at least KD and ABJ owe the person dt brought us this accidental public servant to d limelight. He's even setting d pace for d fg. see wastage on pilgrimages, on sallah rams/Xmas goats etc. See surprise visits to govt establishmnts. Let other guvnors adopt dis if at least for publicity stunts and we see whether Nigeria will not improve a little. |
nyako&sons adamawa ltd....., ever more corrupt than lamido&sons. this guys milked adamawa like no man's businesss. and to think he got bail while lamido went to jail beats imagination. adamawa state has always been unlucky in governance. |
shikshark:. frm a good heart |
mrkhaynoni:. one thing i've learnt in life is dt many need help but seek it at d wrong places or too late. it's d duty of every humanitarian to rise up to d occasion when d need arises. we are all weak in certain aspects of life, let's aspire to bridge d gap rather than cast aspersions. we should not try to shut d op down. every Nairaland family's life is important. we can't afford another DJDollar. lets help on time. |
dustmalik:deep thought! |
Abugab:point |
Btruth:. RIP my General! GMB's trusted partner. d gaptooth judas dt betrayed u guys set d whole nation back for years till date. |
oluwafemi113:. Hmmmmm! and to think I invested my hard-earned funds in dis focusless entity sometime past... |
op thanx. with dt no 1, i shall no longer reprimand my young nephew for bedwetting. |
great piece frm d oracle himself. dis ar d intellectuals we need around us. |
RIP to a peace apostle. |
Good for democracy! GMB is no longer d bitter image i have of him in the last times he contested. dis new garb of tolerance &sportsmanship looks extremely beautiful on him. |
Seeing is just a gift, not necessarily a Godly affair. there exist many atheists who predict even better than these pple trying to drag d name of God into a purely human affair. But attaching God's name to such products guarantees fast bizness among us gullible africans anyway. |
manutdadex:. i beg to differ, u don't quench a raging inferno with ordinary water, or rather u don't remove stain with toilet soap. &dts d body language of majority of nigerians now if u read well. |
manutdadex:. i beg to differ, u don't quench a raging inferno with ordinary water, or rather u don't remove stain with toilet soap. |
other issues aside, GEJ is probably d most level-headed & extremely humble president Nigeria ever had; unfortunately, those are not d needed qualities for d present exigencies. |
na small small dem talk say snail dey take enter shell. dis one way jarus dey take style identify with d right pple, e no go surprise me if come next dispensation dem call am come hold some strategic position. d rest of una siddon dey criticize for nothing. welldone Bros for walking d talk. |
barcanista:. word! but I think dis thief needs more than just a reminder. dis are d types of polithiefcians dt held adamawa down for a long time, ensuring d state couldn't match her peers in devlopmntal terms. dis's old gongola for heavens sake! he's a leader of d gang dt taught nyako how not to perform. he led d house dt almost impeached him (if not for intervention frm abuja) for asking questions when he came back after 3mnths away only to come back n meet empty treasury & empty garage in govt house. the HA members shared almost everything worth a value. i believe d party's leaders wd put him where he belongs. |
why wd anyone claim he doesn't know why gombe is d current target? have we retrieved d trucks with explosives taken away frm ashaka cement? or is ashaka no longer in gombe? or doesn't gombe contribute her fair share of d almajiri child fighters being used by dis Chadian (ansarul islam) BH commanders? 'May be it's ur own turn...'. btw, i was in gombe yesterday & i observe dt unlike pple in other northeastern capitals, gombawas hav yet to b very security-conscious despite d increased spate of bombing. #we shall defeat terror#. RIP to d dead. |
if there's a boxing match I like to pay for, its btw d sectional &mouthed clark n d provocative obj. old men little shame. but truth be told, obj own too much, could he take all dis he's doing to others were d table to turn? always acting 'above d law'. |
Good. we want to see bh fight bh. at least ndjamaena can use dt to safe face in d comity of nations. but we arnt deceived,we know where properties worth billionn dt were carted away frm mubi, Bama, Gwoza etc went to. me I no blame d chadians/shuwa arabs, i blame d mumu nigerians who were deceived into colluding with them under d guise of religion. whichever way d pendulum swings, chad is d winner, naija d loser. |
