Some people are genuinely not hard to impress. Whatever perceived positive or negative reviews a show or movie has are not without written reviews to support them. You should check to find out what's good about the show and what aspects doesn't land. Also, what's to stop me from saying that those who are giving the project a 1/10 rating are just haters who want to spread bad word of mouth? This form of art, like all others, is purely subjective, according to some that's where the beauty of art shines.

It won't be great or awful to everyone. Your review, if you choose to write one, will be one of thousands that are already available online. If you even bothered to analyze the statistics you posted, you'd see that 8,143 people find the show average to poor at best, while a solid 14,000 people think it's a good show. If you group all the 10/10 ratings as spam, you'll still have 9,900. Aren't you starting to sound like those who think you're a dummy for calling "The Blacklist" a complete waste of time? The majority here urges one to watch the show and draw their own conclusions.

There are lots of things that affect people going to cinemas...

The cinema culture has been on a downward trend even abroad...

It's not just money, but time, stress, convenience etc

I didn't see Avatar 2 despite wanting to see it so badly because of convenience...
The movie came out during festive period when most cinemas are stacked full which leads to waiting in long queues for hours...

Add time in traffic in Lagos since the cinemas aren't that close to my house, and also the fact that the people I could have seen it with also have a busy schedule...

Like I said there are many factors to consider before spending hours to go watch a movie...

Even saw some posts on Reddit where people complained about the stress and inconvenience of spending 7 hours on the road, queues, etc instead of waiting to watch it on a streaming service at home

Personally anytime I think about the stress of going to cinemas to watch a movie, I get a rethink...since the closest to my house is always pretty crowded...
I only go when I want to watch with some people

And she specifically said "why haven't you called any of your Special friends" does this ring "Avengers" to you and deserve your inchorent blabbing? This could mean just about anybody, Carol Denvers etc, but you immediately equate it to the "Avengers".

I just rated The Prestige, a Christopher Nolan movie 10/10 in the movie thread about an hour ago

The AVENGERS are a mess doesn't mean a threat that puts the planet at a supremely grave risk is not their business. It's just a lazy excuse to keep them out.

I just saw something from Twitter...then I checked

In S4E3 of AOT...in a flashback, an old man tells Reiner, Bertholt a story before hanging himself

He says: "I lived in Wall Maria, deep in the southeast mountains, It happened at dawn. The animals were all stirred up and I heard a strange rumbling. Thinking it was footsteps, I opened the window. The rest is a blur, but I ran away on my horse. Leaving behind three kids about the same age as you guys.”

Then he hung himself


What's interesting is that this same story was told by Bertholtd and Reiner to Eren and Armin back in S1E3 as their cover story after they heard what happened to Eren and Armin's family


The question is why exactly did that old man tell them that story....and why exactly did they choose that story as their cover story all the way back in S1E3

At first glance it seems like no special reason

However we are given that answer in S4E5 where they showed the later part of the flashback of Bertholdt, Reiner and Annie....


Basically Reiner, Annie and Bertholtd used that backstory back in S1E3 because just like the old man who they heard the story from...they were so stricken with the guilt from what they had done that deep down, they wanted to be judged...


This is one of the many small details of brilliant writing you cannot detect until you watch AOT multiple times...and even then it's so easy to miss
