In Glass Onion, did they move the body before the house was burnt?
I can't seem to remember anything like that happening

Feels like a continuity problem unless I missed it

Saw the "That Day" episode again through a reaction today...
And I had to go check...it's a crime to humanity that this episode has less than a 10.0 rating or 9.9 rating at worst...
Everything was perfect... absolutely perfect...

Even though I try not to rate take these ratings seriously...sometimes it annoys me angry

After this rewatch "That Day" is definitely in my top 15 episodes in AOT, maybe even top 10

Glass Onion....8/10

Way better than the first Knives Out movie.
The movie had some nice twists...

*Minor spoilers

When Blanc pointed out how obvious it was that Miles invited everyone who had motive against him to his Island, I suspected that maybe he wasn't the one to be murdered but instead he planned the entire thing to commit a murder
So he was my number 1 suspect

However the flashback twist about the events that occured before the start of the movie was great...I didn't see that coming at all...
But he still remained my number 1 suspect

For the ending, as someone pointed out, Helen acted silly leading to the evidence being destroyed. No guarantee of jail time.
But at least she destroyed him financially

Wasn't a great ending imo...but wasn't bad. Didn't change my enjoyment of the movie

Again. Way better than the first Knives Out movie

Nice point! I however still find that of Andi believable. She grew together with the group and a part of her still believes they can still come back together as friends so she gave them the chance by showing them she had the napkin. foolishness, I know but it's understandable. however brandishing a napkin that lead to your sister dying right in the killer's face and even explaining why it's the authentic one is just pure stupidity and cannot even be explained for me. Also the ending is so unsatisfying because of it. who's to say the billionaire can't bribe the people coming or even get those friends to change their minds about recanting their previous false testimony later? and even if they get to testify, without evidence it would be easy for a billionaire's team of lawyers to blow right through.
yep that part was silly...
However she has probably ruined him financially

I find that ending unnecessary though. they would've just shown Janelle Monae's character taking the evidence to court. who the hell would be showing off such a pivotal evidence to the villain and be rubbing it in his face like that?
showing it to his face was pretty silly tbh

Gangs of London Season 2.....9/10

Great season...took a while to get back to it since I forgot the plot of season 1 and had the read a few summaries

These British are so good at making crime action series. The action sequences are so good. You don't even know what to expect at times.
This season had an amazing and terrifying villain in Koba

And the police in the city of London in this show almost seem nonexistent...wtf
With the amount of shooting yet the police never seem to arrive

Anyway, even up till the last episode, I thought this season would be the finale but they set it up for subsequent seasons...

My only complaint is that some characters that should have died this season survived. I mean, if you're gonna shoot someone, don't waste time...

But all action movies/series seem to suffer from this.

It's a very interesting watch, forget about all those filler guide and just watch everything. I just started about 2 weeks ago and am currently in episode 116 and enjoying every bit of it. That epic feeling you get when you hear the word "BANKAI" and instinctively know you are about to see some premium sh*t is next to none. Can't believe I haven't watched bleach till now. it's shaping up to be one of the best anime's I have see in a long while. Don't mind the number of episodes and just start and you will see it flies by very quickly, and it's not overwhelmingly big when compared to the likes of Naruto and one piece.
some fillers were shiit ...
The Bount arc especially...worst filler in Bleach

Andor: Cassian Andor's backstory turned out to be a very good watch and one of the best Star Wars projects in this Disney plus era.

The Bear
: A surprise tantalising watch considering the premise of it been a "Chef Show". Episode 7 of it might quite possibly be the best episode of a tv series in recent time, it was a single shot with no stop for 30 minutes, anticlimactic tension soaked masterpiece of an episode.

House Of Dragons: This did well enough to finally quench the GOT aftertaste. Endearing characters and a superb casting. I can't wait for S2.

Pantheon: This and severance were probably the best sci fi show imo in the year. Dodgy animation but it more than made up for it with a top tier take on a topic that, in this current time it's more fact than fiction while being excellently grounded in philosophical and human drama..good good stuff.

Bad Sisters: Another surprisingly good watch. Dark comedy with just about the right amount of drama and mystery to make it worthwhile.

Stranger Things S4: Good season with a pretty decent writing bar the last 3 episodes.

Severance: The very first time i saw the trailer, i instantly knew it was gonna be a banger and true to it, this is was a consensus top bin watch. It had everything going for it, stellar cinematography, excellent cast and a unique concept.

This is going to Hurt
: British comedy never disappoints spiced with NHS drama and 4th wall break.

Barry S3: The wait for this season was worth it. Barry back at the crossroads between good and bad will always be a good watch.
Abbot Elementary: My suprise comfort show of the year. The only sitcom i currently follow bearing the trait of P&R and Superstore.

The Boys S3: Diabolical! This season raised the bar to the roof. Each episode was gold and with the addition of Jesen Ackles to the cast was a masterstroke.

what app is this?

This is simply your subjective opinion and adds nothing to the conversation

How exactly?

What is "raw animation"? Define it specifically.

It's not uncommon for most anime. Kadokawa and Aniplex handle the preview releases. The main reason MAPPA's doing this now is because they're the ones handling CSM entirely. The last anime they personally posted previews for was Takt OP: Destiny, which I'll like to point out, didn't do CSM numbers

It's a flex alright, but not really exclusive to them. Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Re: Life, Katanagatari and Mushishi all have different EDs. Mushishi has 26 episodes.

Same for other anime. They just happen to have 12 this season.
again I clearly said they're doing what others do...but better

Name one thing MAPPA does in their marketing that other studios don't do?
they do the same thing...
But better than most imo...

Mappa are fully funding ChainsawMan themselves from what I heard...which is uncommon for anime studios...
So they're clearly marketing as much as they can considering they're bearing all the risks...

I gave example of their trailers being better than most anime trailers,
they promote better on social media and even release raw animation sef constantly...
They constantly released episode previews hours to airing which again is uncommon for most anime

Releasing 12 ending songs is also a flex for them
All their opening songs are released on YouTube minutes before the episode airs

AOT was very popular but I don't think it's marketing is what pushed it.
It's unlike CSM that gets marketed every now and then YouTube and Twitter.

I hardly even saw much marketing for AOT asides from fans word of mouth and hyping on social media. Hence my opinion of fanbased hype rather than marketing.
If you were to recommend shows to newbies on anime, 9 out of 10 times you'd include AOT and JJK.
That's what I talk about fanbase pushing numbers up and not really marketing.

How Demon Slayer smashed all records and box office even One Piece movie is struggling to match, I don't know. If you can capture the attention of general audience you'd successful.
It's the new fans flocking to it under recommendations from older fans that's boosting new shows.
They're easy to form into fanbases or huge popularity now cos they are newer, shorter amount of episodes.

Mappa is popular quite alright, but how many people really know the studios that are behind their favourite content. It's mainly just because we obsessed with some of our fave shows or franchises that's the main reason we go as far as knowing the production studio. For general audience, average people, they definitely don't know who Mappa is. And it's social media that's making seem ppl know their studio or director.
All na hogwash. Ask an average person around you about directors and movie studios then you go know say all of us know things only when na online.

Reality is different from social media life.
I disagree on average audience not knowing MAPPA...
I can tell you that a lot of new anime fans and even non-anime fans that just watched a few anime know MAPPA...

For directors...even me as an anime fan I don't know directors, but my friends do...

Demon slayer hype is still a mystery to me...
But I suspect the anime adaptation did it...
From what I heard, it really boosted manga sales to a point the manga started competing with One Piece
TV/Movies / Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by itspreshh: 4:25pm On Nov 02, 2022
Kaycee7:
The point is that it did that before MAPPA.
Even JJK's popularity was before MAPPA.

If you want to claim MAPPA influence, show us a title that wasn't making top 10 in the charts before MAPPA picked it.

Can't be out here overhyping MAPPA's influence just because they inherited massive fanbases.

Why can't MAPPA do the same for Zombieland Saga, Re: Main, Dance Dance Danseur and Dorohedoro?
again I stated MAPPA picks up big titles...
So I'm not denying your point

Not bad...should have been higher tho

TV/Movies / Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by itspreshh: 1:41pm On Nov 02, 2022
No one is saying the shows aren't popular before MAPPA took them up...
MAPPA are known sef for taking up popular shows...

My point is they do a lot of marketing, even more than most other anime studios...
That's why they're pretty popular nowadays...

Most anime fans would list Mappa as their fav studio...they're always in the news
TV/Movies / Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by itspreshh: 1:37pm On Nov 02, 2022

Lol, Attack on Titan has been very big over the years. It just doubled on its popularity as the show grows and adds more fans.

You're shouting MAPPA MAPPA but you're only dropping data of AOT under MAPPA. Can we see previous data of AOT under studio Wit?
Also, I hardly take data from Parrot Analytics seriously these days. It's metric of rating is somewhat shady and not so reliable. It's largely inconsistent across various programs.

All shows grow by popularity as the seasons progressed. Abi you think say Game of Thrones na one year e take build that hype. Even The Boys that burst the charts everywhere earlier this year, I can categorically tell you that we that watched it in its first season was way fewer than number of people watching and hyping it now.

What I saw with AOT huge blast in popularity earlier this year is because it became readily accessible for viewers everywhere. It was on Hulu, Disney+, Funimation, Crunchyroll everywhere. It's distribution improved.
I said the same thing...
AOT has been big over the years...

But the S4 hype grew even far higher than it ever reached....
Part of it was it's marketing... especially being marketed as the final season...

For The Boys S3, you can definitely tell how much marketing they did for it...
The show was popular for the first 2 seasons but the hype for S3 was crazy...everyone was jumping on it...

They launched social media campaigns and official accounts promoting it everyday, if you follow The Boys content on social media, you'll be amazed by the amount of marketing S3 had...

I made a comment on The Boys marketing sometime ago on this thread sef
