Now 105k proposed, maybe na state governors go start the fight against FG.
All those redundant staff on state payroll This gan gan is the problem. Apart from nurses and doctors, most workers on state government payroll are severely underutilised. |

raumdeuter: Read the below to get an idea, I did not verify the exact percentage if true but just to get an idea
MINIMUM WAGE: WHAT TO EXPECT. If the FG signs 60k as the new minimum wage, it is only the basic salaries that will be 60k, and not the total take home. The rent subsidy is 60% of the basic salary. So, an employee on GL 01 step 1 shall get 60k as basic salaries, and 36k as rent subsidy. That is, 96k already. Then for transport allowance, the employee gets another 40% of the basic salaries, which is 24k. After, we have the Meal Subsidy allowance, which is another 25% of the basic salaries. This is yet, another 15k. So, an employee on GL 01 step 1 will get 60k basic salary, 36k rent subsidy, 24k transport allowance, and 15k meal subsidy allowance. That sums up to 135k! Meanwhile, we still have Utility allowance, hazard allowance, and other allowances, which are peculiar to different professions. You can hardly get anybody on GL 01 step 1, these days, and as you go to higher scales, the figure rises. Wow. I've always thought 30k is total take home. Federal civil service has just gotten attractive again. I remember how people celebrate getting federal jobs when I was growing up. |

If Tinubu has paid trillions in subsidy last year, which one dem come dey share again? [/color] You know we earn revenue in USD and naira has been devalued. For people that earn a 100k, you spend about 59-60k on food alone. You never even reason any other thing.
I have personally tried on this forum to break down these things to show how bad things are but there are people here that will defend. I wonder how much a cup of rice is. I think those of us in the South South have it worse. Most people have moved to banga soup.

BlueRayDick: Right from the preliminary campaigns Tinubu has always made his supporters look like fooools .
He will make an obvious gaffe , his supporters will spend days reconstructing the speech trying to make sense out of balablue and gazelle Gaza ; only for Tinubu’s spokespersons to come out and give a completely different nonsensical interpretation
After he was sworn-in, he will make a policy and his supporters will put in hours of work to rationalize it no matter how ridiculous such policies may be ; only for him to fold and make a U-turn.
The latest na fuel subsidy . Mr Heineken of Niger Delta don deny tire say dem no Dey pay subsidy and APC people don swear say that is the gospel truth . Today Tinubu’s minister friend don tell us say dem don tell us how much dem pay for 2023 fuel subsidy and has further projected what they will pay for 2024 .
It must really suck trying to defend all of these unforced missteps honestly You don't know how much blow this revelation by the finance minister has dealt them. I mean, that's the only thing his praise singers kept drumming in our ears. How Tinubu was bold enough to remove subsidy, something no other president has done. That was why Heineken was ready to die on that hill that subsidy was not being paid. Werey said El rufai should bring evidence |

We commend the decision of the outgoing administration in phasing out the petrol subsidy regime which has increasingly favoured the rich more than the poor. Subsidy can no longer justify its ever-increasing costs in the wake of drying resources. We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment in public infrastructure, education, health care and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions..."

I usually watch out for transport companies and that's how i know if CNG is the real deal. Nobody is converting any diesel truck. The ones that use CNG were bought that way.
There's a company i know in Ikorodu that sells CNG. Their trucks use diesel, not CNG.
