Honestly, anyone who converts might end up regretting and that's the bitter truth, CNG was being sold for less than 100 per kg when they first introduced it, users are still very little compared to petrol users but price has gone up to 450 per kg.

Before middle of next year, it will enter 600 per kg or even more.

Just to correct this thing on pricing. It's still N250/SCM at mother stations. Mother stations have existing pipeline infrastructure and can receive gas directly from say Escravos.

Mother stations store and distribute gas to daughter stations using CNG tankers. Because of the cost of transportation, daughter stations have to sell at N450/SCM.

It's very similar to the way NNPC or major marketers receive fuel directly from vessels and sell cheaper compared to independent marketers.

The reason for the wide disparity in price difference compared to petrol is that, CNG requires expensive and specialised tankers to transport it and you can't transport it for more than 500km at once.

Isn't a CNG converted car meant to increase resale value though?

No, it won't affect customer funds. The migration is for their vendors. What they are upgrading is the EBS platform where the vendors use to submit quotes

It will be quite difficult to fault Umahi sha. He's in charge of a ministry that does very complex and capital intensive projects. While someone like Wike can quickly do an 11km road, Umahi for instance has thousands of kms of roads to deal with.

It will take 4-8 years to properly rate Umahis performance.

You can do POS if you can find a good location. It's easy to start and you don't have to do it yourself. Will give you more than $10 a month. If you know anyone who sells things in a major market, discuss it with him/her.

If by 2013 the employee stops contributing to the scheme due to retirement and he or she is due to receive the lump sum immediately after retirement; then there should be interest on the lump sum for as long as the PFA delays in payment.

Like in ur mum's case, 2013 to 2024 is 11 good years of interest that should have accrued on the N5m lump sum. Unfortunately, that is not so. It only means the PFA or whoever warehoused the lump sum for 11 years has been doing all sorts with the money and not giving the retired employee any form of interest is just robbery.

Just imagine.

I bet most of them are even thanking the governor for paying.

Lol, I use airtel 1TB data. It costs 100k. Everyone connects to it and it lasts 8-12 months depending on usage. Madam does an extra 1k sub monthly that she uses at work. Once she comes back and at weekends, she connects to the 1TB.

All that sharing thing will come with too much headache.

Starlink only needs break into MTNs top paying client base and they're already doing that. Also people can create networks with neighbors to lift the burden of that monthly sub, so it's even cheaper than what you'd get with MTN and the likes.

Maybe the only challenge might be remote management you mentioned, but with screen sharing apps and other means of sending real-time updates, it shouldn't be too much of an issue, besides a lot of these companies have IT persons on-staff.

The only real limitation I see is that unlike MTN and the likes, it's not mobile.

My entire family use 100k-150k data a year. Means at our usage which is even above average, at least, 9 families have to share the cost of starlinks annual sub before it starts getting cheaper.

How exactly are you going to connect 9 families to one starlink without incurrring additional cost? How many of them will always pay as at when due? What of the security risk?

Let's not even forget that beyond a certain threshold, starlink will throttle your speed.

Your scrensharing solution is not realistic and inefficient especially for large networks. You mean a network administrator in the Lagos head office of Total energies will ask his IT staff in all their onshore and offshore locations to connect laptop to implement changes?

Nigerian's are yet to tap into the full potential of satellite technologies like Starlink, by the time they do, and players from China flood the market, MTN and similar network companies would be well under water, tax breaks or not.

Starlink has several limitations. First, you need electricity to use it and it's also priced far beyond the average user.

And for enterprise customers, Starlink does not issue public ips. This means you have no means of managing your servers, routers and other devices remotely .

It is even my strong belief that starlink will soon pack and leave. At 900k annual subscription for the most basic plan, it's only a matter of time.
