Well I don’t know much about exit plan. XGhost said something that really catchy yesterday. And when I analyze the 720 ABO… omo e no reach anything. Big man, big problem… if such make one to think he has arrived, he won’t even understand how everything is moving fast.

Why I said I don’t know much about exit. All it takes for me to feel like driving is being idle, not survival. Especially on Sunday’s.
The question is, who is an ABO? Let's put it into perspective.

This the typical career path of a banker depending on the bank

EA/BA, ABO, BO, SBO, AM, DM, M, SM, PM e.t.c.

As you can see, ABOs are not big men. They are far below the ladder.

Banking job starts getting sweet from AM. AMs in one bank got bonus of 9.2m this year.

And incase anyone is wondering, it doesn't necessarily take 15 years to become an AM. Some banks have programs that take you to AM in 2-3 years. You just have to be ready to put in the work and have a masters degree.

You see now, I didn't even know it was way cheaper sef.

Back then people chose not to fly simply because they felt they were saving so much money using the road instead of flying. Some of my friends who flew down to Sokoto for camping, we felt like they were big boys not knowing the flight cost wasn't as much as we envisiaged.
We all thought things like flying and vacations were reserved for the rich grin

I just hope we don't pray and beg for today's prices in the nearest future.

Which other things? I only got 5k for about 5 months from my PPA which was paid long after I had finished NYSC ( because they requested for our accounts when we were leaving after promising payment). So I didn't add that since it never joined what I got during the service year to amass the 97k.

It's like u people don't know how the value of naira feel off.

Flight from Asaba to Abuja cost below 18k in 2015 to over 158k in 2024. That's like over 900% increment. Meanwhile corpers' salary only increased by around 350%.

I guess that why it's difficult for you to believe. And food was really cheap back then. A corper can afford to buy bag of rice for 10k and still have 9,800 as savings.

E shock you the damage Buhari and APC did to this country right?

When we were saying it that all Dangote wants is monopoly, people were arguing that it's not true.

1. Dangote claimed he's selling the best quality of PMS in the country which is better than what NNPC and their approved importers are bringing in.

2. NNPC says for the sake of energy security, they cannot put Nigeria in a position where we all rely On Dangote's PMS. What if something catastrophic happens and Dangote's refinery cannot produce for some period of time?

3. NNPC says they have removed subsidy completely on PMS while subsidy on AGO and DPK have been removed a long time ago.

So assuming all these 3 conditions are the current reality of things, one is tempted to ask WHAT EXACTLY IS DANGOTE'S PROBLEM?

I mean if subsidy has been removed and Dangote is free to sell his fuel at any amount that reflect the market value, why is he bothered about FG granting import licenses to other players in the oil and gas space? At least since he's buying crude in naira and doesn't need to factor in transportation cost ; one would think he should be able to use pricing strategy to run importers out of business.

Wetin dey sup gan gan? Did Buhari promise Dangote monopoly that we are all not aware of ni?
Honestly, I can't wrap my head around it.

In addition to all the good points you've raised, What happened to all that "Dangote does not need Nigerians to buy his fuel"? Why will he not just export his products if oil cabals are frustrating him?

What is Alhaji not telling us? Is this why he supported Atiku in 2023?

Eggzactly, minimum fare on bolt, while Uber is 1,400. But i think is bolt account has been blocked.
No wonder

It also seems to me that no Bolt driver in PH drives online again. The few times I've had to use it or book for someone, all the drivers have requested to turn it into offline trips.

I hope Bolt will not close shop in PH one day leaving drivers at the mercy of Uber

I have been buying fuel 20k and yet can't even have gain of 1 naira to buy pure water.
How can I make it when I keep receiving 1400, 2000 ride.
The highest ride is 3k..you will use about 2 to 3 liters of fuel for a journey of 12km and at the end of the ride uber will show 2500.
God help me.
I really pity married people .

Father don't let the world to mock at me and say where is your God you have been bragging of.
Father open way for me.
Father the time has come
I tried to simulate this 12km, 20 minute trip on Bolt and this is the price it showed. I know it's not a lot but at least, 3400 is better than 2600. I also believe you'll have shorter pick ups on Bolt.

If Bolt has not blocked you, you should move over.

Restaurants that sell food are barely surviving , how will clubs selling expensive drinks even think of surviving .

I was telling a friend recently that I can’t remember the last time we just chose to go out to drink , merry and flex . I was now asking him if he thinks it’s just old age or that we’ve grown past that stage .

He said it’s none of the above but just that the economy Dey touch us too ; we can suddenly no longer afford to chill on our budget without causing injury to budget of other “needs”. It was the. It hit me that all those night clubs and bars will be dying a slow but painful death with some of their patrons not showing up anymore due to budget constraint .
The first calculation now is the cost of fuelling your car to and from the hangout spot before you start thinking of the cost of drinks itself grin

Honestly . Okpa get him 4ck ups normally but he’s head and heels over APC/BAT supporters .

At least there’s consistency with Okpa and what he sets his heart to believe , but not our APC/BAT brigade. Imagine people defending Buhari for 7 and half years . All the forward loans that made Buhari pledge untapped crude to our lenders , they defended it. They defended Buhari’s government printing billions of naira and said Buhari led APC government was setting us on a path to be more successful as a country from where GEJ/PDP left us.

Today they are the ones singing the tune that Tinubu inherited a battered economy . I even saw a so called FCA ( Fellow Chartered accountant ) on twitter agreeing with Orji Uzor Kalu that Nigeria never had a proper economy since 1960 until Tinubu came on board in 2023. 🤦‍♂️. When Obasanjo was doing wonders between 1999 and 2007 Nigeria no get economy abi

Good evening bosses, I recently got a big Daddy 2006 model and I'm suspecting that the car consumes fuel. It's a V4 engine. I recently bought fuel of 35k and my gauge was around half tank after filling. I got home and took the pictures of my speedometer and today this evening as I was about entering my street from my wife's shop, my fuel light came up. But when I turned off the car to open gate and park inside, I turned on the car and the fuel light is not there again but took the pictures again of my speedometer.

I will attach the pictures here.
From my own calculations, I think it's 57miles.

Please is this within range or my car is consuming fuel
It is quite difficult to say if your car is consuming fuel. From my research, when your reserve light comes on, you still have about 10L of fuel and from the images you posted, yours isn't even on yet. Give or take, you may still have up to 15L of fuel left. Maybe more.

Considering 35k took you to half tank, the tank must be completely empty before you bought the fuel.

What you should do is this if you have enough money. Fill up the tank till you hear the first click at the pump. Note the odometer. Drive the car till the gauge drops to 3/4 or 1/2 tank. Note the odometer.

Fill up again till you hear the first click. You can then drop the two odometer pictures and the exact quantity of fuel you bought and how much you bought it.

We will be able to advise better.

Yes,, I have another account with Fidelity linked to the same BVN which I mostly use. The zenith acct had been lying dormant since years ago but I had to reactivate it because I enlisted it for the student loan. I even opened a Lotus bank account in June when my fidelity ATM card expired and I've always had issues with their network.
Looks like you have to visit Fidelity and Lotus. One of them is responsible

Morning respected elders of this thread.

I've been unable to make any financial transactions on my Opay account since the past 2 weeks (can't receive/send money nor use the ATM). I got a message that my BVN is been watchlisted that I should contact the bank where I enrolled to resolve it. I've been to zenith bank where I enrolled for the BVN but the only help I got was that the watchlist is from NIBSS (Board of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc). I tried contacting NIBSS, sent a couples of mails and their responses were that I should visit my bank. I went back to zenith and was told to check back and no solutions had been provided yet.

I'll appreciate any help or suggestions in resolving this matter 🙏
I have asked madam. This should help
