doublekay: just the way it is,Also good. |
Dubby6: How can i apply for d post of her sugar son?Why not adopted son, she has a husband. |
Women get pregnant and men don't. So, in the olden days, loose flowing dresses would be necessary for pregnancy and delivery. In ancient times, function dictated fashion. |
In nigeria, it generally is, if the downpour was heavy enough. |
crazo:Oops, minor slip I suppose. He'll do better next time |
True, the potential partner would do well to know something about the secular interests ( if any), the prospective suitor has. |
Nice. That place with the hut and flame of the forest looks familiar. |
Billyonaire: . Before the pot is refilled, the tabpole is thrown out with the sediments. .Didn't want to say, the water usually has to be thrown out if tadpoles are noticed in it. Mosquito larvae are somewhat more manageable and even then, the pot still has to be emptied at some point. |
Btruth: if it is not cat fish, it could electric fish. One of them I'm sure.Ok, it just wasn't ringing a bell, that's all. Dunno if the eel sanitizes the water ( but how do you get the water out?), while catfish do feed on algae et all, and surprisingly enough, some species of bottom feeding fish are usually used in aquariums to keep the tank cleaner, according to wiki. |
Billyonaire: The water is fetched from natural streams in the village then, but now even though the water is from bore-holes, I think I prefer it to the fluoridated CWAY water we drink here in Lagos. Fluorides in water causes a lot of health hazards, and its one way that the industrial complexes use to decimate our population. Earthen Pot, the taste of that water brings back wonderful memories and makes me remember where I come from, and appreciate where I am, and ponder about the future. We all need these reminiscences to appreciate who we are.True, just wondering how that was possible though. Tadpoles take a few days or weeks to hatch, and assuming they were already in the water when it was being fetched, should have been filtered out at the stream before reaching home. However, I guess if the bucket or bowl was dipped into the water instead of using a smaller bowl to transfer the water into the bucket from the stream, its possible tadpoles could have gotten in there. |
I don't think I've had it with eba before, but I've had okro stew with chunks of garden egg. It was very good. |
guyANDROID1: The topic says "define love in your own understanding"Are you referring to infatuation, lust, etc? My own definition of love is 1 Cor 13. |
Again? |
Billyonaire: I am still drinking from that pot. Sometimes, we see tadpoles, yet we sway the bottom of the cup on the surface of the water to scare the tadpoles before fetching a chilly cup, and with each cup, we remember the past, thank Gods for the Present and worry about the future.Tadpoles cant get in the water unless frogs had previously been in it. Generally, frogs lay their eggs in ponds, not so sure about rivers although never say never. Where was your water sourced from, for it to have tadpoles? Can't remember if I've ever seen tadpoles in that manner, its possible I suppose. |
CityNG: So now that I cornered you by showing who dense you are you are waiving the white flag?Too much aggro |
Btruth: I did. Almost, everyone at the village have this at home. But what amazed me was the live cat fish my maternal grand mum put in the port, she said it helps in cleaning the port from been dirty (the fish helps eat all the small dirty particles)..and also, that the return water from the fish mouth is medicinal. Well, I don't know how truth that was? Can't remember drinking water that housed live catfish ( unless you folks means something else by that), but I do know water with catfish in it, will have a smell? Are you sure you're not making up stories? Catfish has a very strong smell. |
CityNG: I also own VillageHeadMaster.Com - so does that satisfy your requirement to demonstrate that I'm a villager? I am what I am, I am the only person that can identify me. Not you.Bro, let it go. You are too serious and have too much agro, everything is not a war. I wonder how your education became the topic of discussion, do you hold 5 phds? |
Would anyone like to guess the op is probably behind at least 2500 other stories on this forum. |
CityNG: Again, as I stated previously I never looked inside the pot. Ours was positioned inside the house in a dimly lit hallway and I never had any excuse to go poking around.like i said, you visited the village doesnt make you a villager. (Even your moniker shows you dont consider yourself one). all this big grammar you're blowing in response to a simple observation, is unnecessary. all you need to say is you did not observe physically anything in the water. In actual fact, there's usually a lot of things at the bottom of the pot. anyway, when a true villager is talking, you should sit and learn. if you use alum (or you never saw that before either), in water, it makes sediment settle at the bottom of the container. or was your water from the tap? |
love has many definitions, which one are you looking for? |
McWhillion: why my father no discover her and marry her that time, she for be my momcee now.sorry. |
nice pictures. |
Tallesty1: A part of the story says there is no dime at home.yet they ponied up and went gallivanting to quizzes and public functions instead of looking for money. what is the point of your made up story, what are we supposed to do about whatever situation you are talking about there? ![]() |
CityNG: Unfortunately you are not allowed to project your assumption on my reality. I am a village boy.you're the one who mentioned testing the water. a true villager would have seen something at the bottom of the water, not conjecture about if there was. just saying. there are things like sediment, etc. |
Kizmarty: everyone claiming their grandma had one..grandpas drank from the tap. |
you're not village if you have to wait for testing before you know of anything in the water. anyway, hope our water supplies are safe? ![]() |
whats all the fuss about this little baby's hair? ![]() has no baby ever had hair before? ![]() |
CityNG: I drank from this one when I lived with my Grandmother in Ijebu for about a year and previously when we visited as a child.so you didnt see anything inside? like mosquito larvae, etc? you are indeed of the city. |
neither she nor her husband are wearing any. so i guess its by mutual agreement. |
she seems angry. make oga jona beg her o. |
