BREAKING: Bali Runs Out of Fuel as Supply Crisis Spreads Across 11 Indonesian Provinces

By Dialogue Square News Desk | October 17, 2026

BALI, INDONESIA — A severe fuel shortage has gripped the tourist hub of Bali and spread across at least 11 Indonesian provinces, leaving motorists stranded in hours-long queues as global energy disruptions hit Southeast Asia’s largest economy.

Since Sunday, gas stations across Bali have struggled to meet demand, with attendants increasingly turning drivers away and posting signs reading, "Sorry, no fuel available."

Widespread Disruptions Across the Archipelago

The crisis extends far beyond Bali, causing major transportation bottlenecks across the country:
* West Sumatra & Banten: Motorists in West Sumatra are facing waiting times of two to three hours at the pump, while queues for diesel have stretched roughly a kilometer along the busy Merak-Tangerang highway in Banten.
* Sold-Out Supplies: Supplies of diesel and Pertalite (Indonesia's most widely used subsidized gasoline) have completely sold out at stations across Aceh, Riau, West Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, and Yogyakarta.

The Global Catalyst: Iran Conflict Hits Imports
The domestic crunch is a direct fallout of escalating conflict in the Middle East. Since the outbreak of the Iran war, Indonesia has lost approximately 25% of its fuel import sources.

According to Indonesia's Director General of Oil and Gas, routine fuel procurement tenders are now attracting very few market participants. In response, Jakarta has been forced to bypass standard tenders and negotiate directly with nations holding surplus oil stocks—securing emergency supplies at significantly higher prices.

Emergency Rationing Ahead
As authorities scramble to stabilize the supply chain, local governments are moving toward rationing. In Bali, officials are now preparing emergency measures to restrict the sale of subsidized fuel to the top income decile in an effort to preserve dwindling reserves for essential transport and lower-income residents.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to Dialogue Square for further updates on global energy markets.

One thing about life is that there's always a choice; to learn the soft way or to learn the hard way. The reason why the world is in chaos and squalor is because right from time humans have always preferred to learn the hard way, despite knowing full well that they could do better...despite knowing what to do better. Yet nature is an ever-persistent teacher; one must learn lesson 1 before entering class 2, or one will remain in class 1 until they learn lesson 1. Whether through the hard way or the soft way is their choice, but one must learn.
And "nigerians" are about to learn a very epic lesson from 2027 onwards. So epic a lesson that a great many will not survive the lesson, while among the survivors, some eyes will begin to open and some hearts will begin to believe and some brains will begin to learn the lessons. Nevertheless, this lesson that "nigerians" are about to learn come 2027 and beyond, will surely cost them very heavy.
For Que Sera Sera.

Land wey be sey nobody know who first get am and it has been there from time in memorial….I always tell people once you notice an extremist in tribe or religion stay away from such persons because they have nothing to offer just garbage in garbage out
The thing is life is made of 2 kinds of people ; the Ignorant ones, and the Guided ones. Those in the Ignorant category are further subdivided into 2; the Stark Ignorant ( Simpletons), and the Rage baiters (Deceivers). You see the Rage baiters, they are the cancer of society. They are the problem of the world and humanity. Ever-willing agents of slavery, chaos and underdevelopment, despite also being casualties of their own handiwork. They are the worst of them. The Simpleton is just like a baby who knows nothing, but the Deceiver is just like a teenager who knows a lot but understands almost nothing, yet so wilful and emotionally-driven that the Simpleton is always at his mercy. For he stops at nothing in fabricating mirage-realities ( for himself and for his prey - the Simpleton) from his resource of shallow-knowledge and half-truths, with little or no understanding of the sum. Wisdom is in recognizing oneself and then recognizing the enemy from afar.

Wasn't interested in education but wanted to be a housewife . .get married too a rich man, stay at home and become a trophy wife

But cooking is not that difficult
I noticed when people cook you don't have to be in the kitchen all the time
Sometimes the person that cooks, will leave something on the fire for sonetimes, for the food too boil before he or she continues

I was thinking of cooking school but I don't think I am mentally stable for cooking school

With patience and hardworking, I will soon be the best cook in the world

Politics › Re: Davido's Uncle Has Played Us All, Let The Dancing Continue by itzadorable333:
uche87:
The major reason the Osun State governorship election drew massive media attention and public interest had little to do with the progress of the south-western state. Many people became interested because it was seen as a referendum on the administration of President Bola Tinubu and his All Progressives Congress (APC).

For many Nigerians, the election was an opportunity to send a direct message to the president about their dissatisfaction with his government, in case he had somehow missed the cries and complaints expressed across traditional and social media. Governor Ademola Adeleke joined the Accord Party after reportedly being blocked from joining the APC.

Nigerians rallied behind him because they saw the election as a prelude to the main event, the 2027 general election. Davido, the popular Nigerian singer, deployed his enormous social media influence to campaign for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, popularly known as the "Dancing Governor". Davido's online megaphone kept drawing media attention to Adeleke, and it worked remarkably well.

Governor Adeleke is a rare politician. He sold himself with his dance steps rather than his words. Politicians are salespeople. Their greatest tools are usually their voices and their ability to persuade. Adeleke, however, chose to endear himself to voters with his feet and body language.

While many found it entertaining, I saw it as a weakness that he cleverly masked. Nigerian politics, especially at the campaign stage, is often built on theatrics. It is a mudslinging festival and a circus show until power is won. Governor Adeleke would spend less time discussing his manifesto at campaign grounds and more time dancing. The crowd applauded, the videos went viral, and the strategy paid off. Job done.

When news of his controversial academic credentials resurfaced, I began to understand why the dancing was often more prominent than the talking. Many of his admirers point to his payment of salary arrears and pensions owed by previous administrations as evidence of good leadership.

But, in my view, does it take a genius to pay workers and retirees what they are rightfully owed? The standard by which public officials are assessed in Nigeria has become so low because of the general failure of leadership across the board. I was never a fan. That said, I did not believe the APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, deserved my support either, largely because of his association with the ruling party at the national level. I therefore had no horse in the race and simply watched events unfold.

When Governor Adeleke was declared the winner, social media erupted in celebration. Many used the victory to taunt Tinubu, seeing it as a warning sign of what could happen in the 2027 presidential election. I was amazed by the scale of support Adeleke enjoyed.

But less than 24 hours after his victory, he delivered what many supporters considered their first shock. In a video statement, he pledged loyalty to Tinubu and promised to support the president's second-term bid in 2027. He was neither hiding nor pretending.

Adeleke would later travel to Abuja to meet Tinubu and some of his close political associates. Around the same period, Davido, who had frequently criticised the APC online for what he described as poor governance and economic hardship, was seen in the company of prominent APC figures. He prostrated before FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and was later photographed sitting comfortably with him.

The message appeared clear: we are together.

Many of Adeleke's newfound supporters suddenly went quiet. They had been played.

Adeleke's political camp, the Imole Campaign Council, has reportedly promised President Tinubu 1.5 million votes in the next election. Constitutionally, Adeleke only possesses one vote. But in Nigeria, such promises are often treated as achievable targets. You know how.

At an APC event yesterday, Governor Adeleke was introduced as a campaign coordinator in Osun State. He joyfully danced to the podium amid applause and cheers. Speakers described him as a happy man. I am not aware of any formal alliance between the APC and the Accord Party. Whether such an alliance exists or not appears secondary to Adeleke. Politics, like most things, often comes down to personal interest.

The ease with which Tinubu has been able to attract opposition politicians into openly supporting him while disregarding their own parties' candidates is a remarkable political phenomenon.

Should we applaud it? I am yet to decide.

My greatest hope is that those who become emotionally attached to politicians and their flowery promises learn a lesson from all of this. Politicians are often more united than their supporters realise. They are, as the saying goes, the same rat in different holes. Only the locations and formations change.

So, if you supported Adeleke against Tinubu and now find yourself watching them work together, there is no need to feel hurt or betrayed.

Just learn from it. Those who fail to learn from history eventually become victims of it.

They divide and confuse the masses along all kinds of lines and differences, using their agents who they dump as soon as work's done, whilst they themselves dine together behind the scenes but come out to rhetorically oppose each other creating a divided image to mirror the real division they've created among the masses so that the gullible masses believe the sham as true reality while they carouse together and share the loot, mocking the masses. And the ignorant masses, who are perpetually and deliberately kept in a dazed/hungry/hapless condition, have no option than to swallow hook, line and sinker as they grovel and succumb to the fate of the choice being made for them already. A choice made to look like the masses' choice, whereas it's actually a reality of having to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. Until the masses unanimously stop the game which they are always being asked to play, lift up their eyes to the organizers of the game and ask relevant & existential questions about the game, the masses can never be free. And there can never be any change and improvement in the society. For the organizers of the game, though they are one, have to appear different and opposing in order to easily and successfully divide the players. So far the players remain divided, the game is forever under the control of the organizers who can manipulate it however they choose, according to their whims and caprices. And so long as this remains the status quo, the game continues.

English is not your mother tongue so it's understandable if you get confused at the usage of it. "Countries MOST indebt to the IMF" does not mean Nigeria must be among the list. But using that list to confuse yourself into believing that any country that's not on the list is debt-free to IMF is simply ignorance on an asinine level as it's obvious that the above list does not contain the total of countries IN DEBT to the IMF.
Your brain is always there for you, but if you don't use it any other person can use it for you.

Unless I am mistaken, Nigeria's Gross Foreign Reserve just increased by 6.7% from $55.1 Billion on Friday, 9th Oct to $58.8 Billion on Monday, 12 Oct. That's a $3.7 Billion accretion over the weekend.

What could be driving this? Euro bond? Oil receipt? or drawdown on the $5bn FAB facility? The Finance Minister @taiwoyedele did say that government won't issue press releases for each FAB drawdown.

Anyway, it would be nice to know what is driving this sharp increase.

if this is true, then she should not have any problem giving in to the landlord's demands, that's if she's into the body-pleasure business already. In fact it doesn't have to be difficult for her to see the situation as an opening opportunity for a business that could solve her accommodation problem, that's if handled well. But if she's not into the business, she can just park her things and go back to her family for the mean time, while she re-strategizes, plans and moves for a greater come back. Politics › Question For Nigerians As You Prepare To Vote Again. by itzadorable333(op): 10:28pm On Oct 13
I don't know if it's just me but I've noticed that ever since 1960, with each successive regime or administration, Nigeria get's worse. Infact from the period of democracy conditions of the masses got alarming. But the funny thing is, the same masses keep voting in people to power while the same masses keep suffering increasingly until the next cycle when they either retain the same people (despite the suffering) or they vote in another set of people and the suffering continues with more volume until the next cycle again. Then repeat.
So my question is, is it really the masses' choice that is the cause of the Nigerian condition? Or are there other factors at play which overrule the masses' choice and by extension, decide the state of Nigeria?

Get barks of pineapples, a lot. Get Neem leaves, stalks and stems (a lot). Get Lemon (12). Get a pot. Get clean water. Wash the lemons and cut them in two's. Wash only the outer barks of the pineapples. Wash the Neems (the stems properly) . Put the neem stems in the pot first. Then put the lemons. Then put The neem leaves and stalks. Then put the pineapple barks. Let your pot be large enough to contain water that will completely cover the contents of the pot without reaching the brim. Then boil for 2 hours, or until it gets to the level of the contents in the pot. Then you bring it down and let it get warm then you take a cup and drink. Prepare this between noon and 3pm , then drink before you take your meal. (After 30 minutes)
In the morning, you wake up early before sunrise (but not too early) boil it for 3 minutes. Bring it down and drink hot. Then you go position yourself where you'll sit facing the path of the sun, (the East). Let the morning sun shine on you in all its fresh strength. For 1 hour. Then you can go lie down for you might be feeling sensations like dizziness and light-headednes. But if not go and eat, take your bathe. Then in the evening, just take another cup. No boiling, but shake the pot circularly so the liquid contents can blend back again. Then pour and drink. Then go bathe. Now after bathing, dry yourself then get coconut water. (Coconut that has not touched the ground). Get the water, and rub it all over your body, including your face. Then let the natural air dry your body. Then you can wear your cloth and go eat.
You this for 21 days. You prepare the medicines for every 7 days.
During this period, stay away from anything heat or ill-ventillated enclosures.
Your wears should be less than heavy.
The first 7 days and second 7 days will be tough, you might feel like dying. But hold on. By the 15 day, you should be noticing improvements.
If there's a baby or young one who's not up 10, you can bathe them with the medicine even as you give them to drink. A hot bath, but not too hot. Only in the morning. Then let them stay in the morning sun for 5 minutes. Apply also the coconut water unto them as well, in the evening bath.
Then eat a lot of cucumbers, and spinach.

And then after 30 minutes get something to eat, for you'll feel hungry. Tomorrow morning boil it for 3 minutes, take a cup and drink hot. Let not the sun meet you before you do this . Then after 30 minutes, you eat. In the evening just take and drink. Don't boil. Boil only in the mornings,so wake up early.
Finish it in 7 days. And prepare another one for another 7 days.
By the 13th day you should be OK.
Stop sucking women's coochies randomly.
Reduce your intake of smoke.
Eat more citrus and acidic fruits
But until you finish your treatment, stay away from sex, smoke, alcohol, milk, beans, groundnut oil( and everything from groundnut) and sugar.

How does unused charcoal look like vs used charcoal? grin
The ashy hue or the burnt stain will tell on the charcoal, that's if it's been used. And it will feel dual; heavier on the unused side, lighter on the used side. And the used side will be crispy to the touch, while the unused side will be compact and tight. There are many ways to know.
