I am actually appalled that you had the presence of mind to use words like "nonsense behavior" and "mumu" for your own mum and then bring this online. Be assured that an outsider will use worse words on her and you dare not attack that person. Also, your son will CERTAINLY use 10 times more terrible words on you to your face but you will be too helpless and dependent to do anything about it. It's the law of Nemesis, it still works! |
Excellent car. I have been using one for 3 years now and you need to see the route I ply daily. No major repairs, AC circulates in a short time, extremely fuel efficient and parts are very affordable. If given another opportunity, I'd buy it again and again |

TouchNfollow:So appointments are no longer a call to serve and work for the betterment of the entire nation? It is now a compensation package! No wonder we are where we are. As long as you do not support your leader to put sound and capable people in positions of authority so that you and your generations unborn will enjoy the dividends of good governance, we will remain in this mess we have found ourselves. Appointments are for people who can do the job and not for people who sleep under trees so that they can canvass for votes, I beg. |

Why would you want to do this to your lovely family? There is no perfect person nor perfect home. As much as I realise how important conjugal relationships are, will it be worth throwing away the baby with the bath water over? What about your children? Have you sat down before to listen to someone who came from a dysfunctional family on account of the father walking away? Please look for a way to work out your marriage I beg you. She isn't cheating on you or frolicking. She doesn't mismanage the resources meant for the home, she takes care of your home and children. She loves your family and I bet she loves you too. Please let her understand your frustration, make her understand 🙏 The grass isn't greener on the other side. Please don't walk out on the family God has helped you build. All the best |
Yes ma, you said something wrong. You knew he couldn't afford that exhorbitance. It counts for nothing if it is a once and for all payment plus it didn't mean he cherished you less. All he wanted was your understanding so that you could appeal to your people for him. Believe me, that wasn't much to ask. You know what he is seeing in you now? A woman who would follow the norm rather than stick to him through thick and thin, a woman that will make him indebted just to look glamorous and acceptable before others. I tell you Madam, that is not the way to enjoy your home. Right now, he is your first and major priority. Tradition, norms and "how they do it" comes after him. The Bible says a virtuous woman will do her husband good all the days of his life. Now that the wedding of a day is over and he is repaying debts, how happy do you think he will be? Please go and apologise to him sincerely. Henceforth, let him know that no matter how difficult it gets, when he looks over his shoulder, it is you he will be seeing. This error is still correctable. Plus, learn to cut your cloth according to your fabric from this early stage. I wish you the best! |
Ma, I understand how hurt you must feel to see your child that way. I have been there. It's obvious that center was compromised and as earlier advised, it is better not to push it any further. You should have asked around before registering your boy in that school. Everyone knows the schools that are notorious for 'runs'. Having said that, I will counsel you to speak to your boy, let him know how proud you are of him for the feat he has achieved. Tell him this is only a temporary setback that you shall both overcome together. Let him know you are with him all the way. This does not make him a failure. It's only one of the many issues of life. When he finally succeds, he will be stronger and be able to help anyone who falls into the same trap. Now, you can quickly go and register him for GCE private (It's still open). You don't have control over where he will be posted but pray that God will lead him to a good center. Make sure he studies as hard as he would ordinarily have done if he hadn't suffered this setback. I assure you, this too shall pass and you shall both rejoice. Wishing you the best. I hope this helps |

Is there any school that offers this? Can it be online and on a part time basis? |
Please don't give in to such thoughts. You are still in the teething stage of your marriage and a lot of immaturity will be at play at this time. For a lot of us women, we still want the attention and petting we got in courtship so we behave as if we don't care. My brother, I can affirm that you are her world. Give her a bit of time. Don't forget she is still growing in this journey. I plead with you to forgive her then when you get back home, call her to a little meeting and let her know how hurt you were the last time. Also, be mindful not to turn it into a blame game or word banter. Just make your reservations known as gentlemanly as you can. Marriage is a great task. You are the Head of that home and the buck stops at your desk. It is you who will give account of your family to God so whatever you need to do, ask God to help us, release wisdom to you and keep your family intact. If not for anything, for the sake of that precious gift who is your daughter. She needs the stability of you and your wife being at peace. It's going to be alright. Take care. |
Praise the Lord! He has been found |
Flick490:Don't be overwhelmed. Somehow, we will pull through. Why don't you take a day at a time. Don't take tomorrow into cognisance just yet. Take a step at a time. Eat what you get to survive. Don't take up much more than you can bear. Don't go near you can't afford. You will be better eventually |
It is most likely that there will be no post utme exams in unilag this year. I think they will have screening of documents instead |
I celebrate you dear. Keep at it even though you get exasperated. While pursuing your degree, please identify other things that you enjoy doing so that you don't get bored. It's a long ride you know. Your life shouldn't be about class, church and library alone. Look for other things that tickle your fancy. Could be running an NGO, designs, writing or even get a certification in arbitration, mediation or reconciliation. I wish you all the best. I believe in you. Be back here in the next 5 years with a photoshoot of your wig and gown. All the best |
Where can I get this please? |
My marriage will be 20 years old in June. I have had my share of pain and tears particularly in my early years of marriage but over the years as both my husband and I grew, I have cone to understand the following: 1. To have a successful marriage, you have to be a continuous forgiver 2. You must be ready to serve selflessly both your husband and offsprings. In this wise, you may lose yourself but eventually, the rewards surpass the sacrifice 3. Learn to overlook issues that won't rock the boat of your marriage. You needn't nag or complain over every issue. Just allow something to rest 4. Submission as a wife (I learnt this really late and it robbed me of a lot of peace and joy). I have since come to realise that submission to your husband will break the hardest of hearts. By the way, why struggle over control with him? By the time he becomes old, he will depend on you to make sure all is going well. Then, you can call the shots if you like 5. Keep your relationship with God intact. This helps your heart to stay on course. The Spirt of God prompts you when you start misbehaving 6. As for money, trust me, the multitude of it doesn't make a peaceful home. Granted, lack of it may be frustrating but once you both learn to cut your coats according to your cloth, you will be fine Hope this helps someone. Enjoy the week ahead |
