Gosh what happened to all the lawyers nowww, if this had been a foreign' thread, a 'learned' person would have broken down this whole gist with relevant statutes and case law, instead all we have here are people forming intelligence when it is clear they are only running on sentiments and misguided 'common sense' From the little i have seen online, you can photograph anything or anyone in a public place including law enforcement officers in the united states and though i havnt seen anything about this with regards to Nigeria, since most of our laws are borrowed any ways i can bet that it will most likely be the same. But the section referred to on that charge sheet doesnt in anyway confirm that taking the pictures of this idle policemen is illegal. |
Abeg who get insight, where exactly is this 'investment' going to go? To producers, marketers, actors, ? |
@Tudor, ok am nt going to try to hold brief for the 'men of God' of this world, but am sure no genuine pastor will claim to have the power to do anything cause all power is from God. And am sure that in her lifetime the late Mrs. Kumuyi must have been ill and healed a lot of times, but ultimately no one can live forever on this side of existence. That said am not even here to contest whether or not Kumuyi is or isnt a man of God, am just saying that it just feels mean to say she died like a chicken from cancer, nobody deserves that, nobody |
@Tudor, I also have some issues with faith! But I feel you should moderate your expressions when it comes to issues of personal loss. Empathy should not be a matter of religion but a consequence of common sense. You can talk about how 'fake' pastors can get, but to ask a man why he couldn't cure a sickly wife or raise a dead spouse seems to be stretching your self professed unbelief a little too far. |
lol, had dis same discussion on fb quite recently and as usual there were mixed reactions. To each his own i guess. But my opinion is that Big Brother is a huge phenomenon the world over. It's empty, it's pointless, it's senseless, but it's popular! That basically sums up the world we live in today. It's sad but it's the reality we are faced with. Am sure more peeps are going t come in here and tear u to pieces for this piece cos ppl are quicker to defend their indulgence with vanity than other sensible stuff |
does everything have to be about tribe and ethnicity? |
If the posts am seeing here regarding the need to be 'optimistic' and be 'happy' that 'our' president is changing internationally broadcasted govt. position cos of a few facebook posts are from young nigerians, then am more convinced that we have a long way to go. Wasnt the decision thought through? If it was then how on earth can facebook comments upturn the decision? And isnt it obvious that the facebook page is just another PR stunt? It's prolly one of his many aides sitting in one room in aso rock updating the page while he surfs some oda 'nationally important sites' |
You obviously did not use 'Grammarly' for your headline, lol |
hey jst heard this track dis mornin, eminem is the man for real |
Home! |
Pardon me but there seems to be no monetary reward for this, is that an omission or intentional? |
TRANSFORMERS 2, MOST DEFINITELY twas bout the only movie i enjoyed sef |
Lagos was really lovely at night - the ride across the uncharacteristically free third mainland bridge was turning out to be a very wonderful idea indeed. I reclined the seat as i watched her beautiful face reflecting the brilliant rays from each street light that whizzed past. My wife was always the spontaneous type , 'Dear, I have an idea that will help ease the stress of the week" That idea was this - a ride around town at 7.30 on a saturday evening. It turned out to be brilliant idea, as the breeze caressed my face, frayed nerves received the miraculous touch of nature and I was slipping into some sort of nirvana, when all of a sudden she pulled over, almost violently. I jerked up straight fearing the worst, perhaps she had sighted robbers up ahead. Instead, she whipped out a condom, turned toward me and burst out, 'Whose is this?' As if in a trance i responded, 'M-m-m mine, sorry, ours dear" 'But we have never used rubber and you know I would never consider it" By this time the engine was off. 'Jimmy, the matter is simple, tell me the truth, or we are going to spend this wonderful evening together on this wonderful spot and who knows what wonderful guests we might entertain' The truth? It was going to be a very long night indeed. |
aisha2:Wow, suddenly Fashola is the Infallible, All Seeing, All Knowing, Never-to-be-questioned god to whom we must all bow in unreserved obeisance. Well for your information, we aint all docile followers, some of us actually ask questions and that's what a democracy is about. Have you ever been harassed by lastma b4? Just last week i saw a man receive a head but for raising his voice at a lastma official. Go and tell that man about the constructive and positive work fashola is doing. Imagine u re driving and u get stopped by a police officer. He asks you for all the documents he should and u tender 'em all. Then he asks for ur id card, wch perhaps u forgot at home, picture the rest. I never said the idea was bad, but i have lived in lagos long enough to know that in the end the bad effects will outweigh the good ones if the institutions we have on ground are the same. Talking about leadership potential, i am sure ur leadership style would be ASK NO QUESTIONS!!! pscheewwww |
While acknowledging that the idea is not such a bad one ie It will be good for planning and all that and if done right might even help in law enforcement. But there are other implications to be considered. What requirements would be made of a person seeking to obtain this card? Would it be an offense to be without the card? What will happen if I am stopped and am unable to produce the card? The bottomline - the institutions on ground are not ideal to enforce this innovation. We all know about the lastmas and the kais of this world, this would just be another avenue for 'revenue' generation and let's nt even talk about the police. Great Idea - Yes, Great Implementation - Not likely |
Abeg make una no vex, i am nt here fronting like bad ass hip hop head, but why the beef for modenine? As far as I can tell, the guy's so much of a better lyricist than all dem other 'rappers' out there. Could someone please explain why anyone would say the guy is a dry lyricist P.S without the usual yabees of course, am highly sensitive to unnecessary insults ![]() |
Thanks for commending my , 'Postulations' stereo.lol |
It's really a reflection of the society at large. What sort of viewership do u think a reality show for writers would command? Companies are, in the end, profit oriented or at best all about creating greater awareness for their products and services. They would be hard pressed to sponsor a show that does not have mass appeal. Sadly, am nt sure ow much of a mass hysteria a show for writers would be. Still you can consider that a challenge to your creativity - think up something that will arrest public attention while at the same time serving your writer's passion |
Is there anyone in the house with any idea of how i can get a toshiba t100 series? Thanx |
sean na wa for u o, do u know ow many illegal immigrants are in the united states? how many of them ave u heard got themselves killed by the state just cause they didnt have the 'right', guess people like you are the reason why nobody will think twice of killing nigerians anyhow, am sorry i dont usually trade in insults here, but am compelled to echo an earlier opinon bout u, u rly must be a slowpoke |
Isnt it obvious to both sides of this argument that noone ever 'wins' religious debate!!! Each side will squeeze out 'empirical' justifications for their own religion, when the truth is no-one will ever know the truth about stuff that was concocted years ago and which obviously is not as perfect and divine as our pastors and clerics want us to believe. But then again, it's always intriguing to watch the endless back and forth even though it can be boring at times. GUYS GET A LIFE!!! |
@swagga, actually been working wt a small agency for over year now. So I guess you could say am half a rookie. Worked on a few accounts but nothing mega as yet, though i have learnt a whole lot within the relatively, 'small' period. That's the reason why I need the big break to take my thing to the next level! |
Hi all Does anyone know of any opening for a copywriter? Would be most grateful for any leads or insights in this regard. Thanks |
Would like to know if there is a 'Speech Writing' industry in naija. And if there is does anyone have any info on it? Thanks all |
AjaraEwuro:Nigeria ain't got a future as long as there are guys like you who can't seem to express an opinion without spitting so much venom! Sometimes it's not so hard to see why we are this knee-deep in trouble. Nigerians just can't seem to have a decent, intellectual argument without the usual name calling! Pathetic stuff!! Na Wa!!!!! |
Great nollywood material |
IT'S SAD TO SEE THAT THE ONLY XMAS GIFT THE PRESIDENT HAS TO GIVE US IS THIS, Guess there is no hope for Nigeria after all. Wish this were really a democracy so dat the ppl wil actually have a say. |
@diggler, i must confess your analysis is rite on the money, obviously you know what you are talking about and not merely feeding on the fallacy of a company dats nt even on the ground to know first hand what they are talking about. How can an economy be safe when small businesses dont thrive? How can an economy be safe when unemployment is as blatant as our dark pigment?how can economy be safe when there is practically no middle class?I admit i aint much on economics, but common sense dictates that before you can use such superlatives as safest, u need to have gone thru safe or safer, which i can boldy say Nigeria is neither. |
Eze almost finished school but one day while he was studying hard, his brains expanded and exploded and he died a very painful death indeed(obviously).Poor Eze he always did have such a big head. One minute of silence for our dearly departed Eze, who rests headless in his grave with his favorite fictional novel,'Get knowledge or die trying' |
