Men, to think i was just thinking of how a movie on the biafra war would look like in the cinemas. But with all this fractious and scary debate am now thinking doing such a movie could precipitate the second civil war. Nairalanders, you guys scare me all the tyme with all this vile insults!

@pkv, come on bro, i haven't seen d movie either, but from the preview it's a comedy i.e. a movie that doesnt take itself too seriously. And judging from the reactions its obvious a majority of movie goers don't think its as trashy as you make it sound.

From what I have read everyone has a point or two.
If you think you can do the the write-up then do it and let the OP judge.

I doubt if any publication in nigeria can be profitable except for the one that peddle celebrity gossip, post a lot of the latest fashion pictures, advertise the 'great' achievements of our great politicians and maybe the sports publications. Just take a look at TELL magazine and you would understand. And am not pointing fingers at the government either, as a people our priorities are just twisted

@NDU CHUKS, come on, how is calling for the 'death' of a people a valid expression of freedom of speech. That's hate speech! That's inciting speech! That's the kinda of stuff that sparks off riots and gets thousands of people killed. With every Right comes a Responsibility. Do you know how many illiterates in that vicinity who will not even know what the protest is about and will think it's a xtian v muslim thing and take it as their divine duty to start cutting infidel heads?

Why are people taking news from a 'fake news' site and posting it here. Worse why are people reading this thread and seeing that some other people have tagged the news as fake new and still taking it serious?

I would really like to suggest that nairaland develops some kind of age verification technology to screen members. Most posts on this thread would have to have been made by intellectually challenged 'early-teenagers'. It's either that or Nigeria is really a hopeless case if what I read here represents just how thick-skulled young nigerians are.

Na wa oooooo, I wish Nigerians could be this vocal on other Government actions, nay, inactions - as they are on religious matters. Of all the uselessness prevalent in the workings of the ruling class, this is the battle that everybody is most up in arms about. Where are all the CANS and Sharia Councils when it comes to the plight of the youth, corruption and the overall hopelessness of the government of the day?

IMO the folks who term the thread 'tribalistic' are actually the 'tribalists'. The thread is simply asking which 'CEO' is comparatively dealing with the subject better, didn't see any hint of whether the persons in question are from any particular region.

@Beaf, am impressed by your research and submissions, if only we knew what exactly those words were, Am sure any lawyer worth his salt would be able to get this guy off, and for the guys still hitting out on whether the guy should be arrested - from a distance a prima facie case has been established in my opinion. Thats why its always good to get the meat of the gist before making conclusions. Nigerians are not very good at doing that

Maybe i missed it, but nobody's even talking about the section of the penal code he is said to have contravened! On the bare facts, anyone in here who says the man was rightfully arrested for wrongfully exercising his freedom of speech must be a downright retard and all illiterate to boot
