Isn't Chloroquine Diphosphate different from Hydroxychloroquine?

hydroxychloroquine is the more soluble form of chloroquine. it is the less toxic one especially in the management of malaria.
The thing is, for any antiviral effect to be seen, you need a higher dosage of CQ which means hydroxychloroquine doesnt suffice. high dosage of at least 600mg twice daily for a long number of days will be at least needed.

This is an appeal to the Federal ministry of health of Nigeria to please do not try to use Chloroquine Diphosphate on a massive clinical trial on Diagnosed patients of covid-19 in Nigeria.
There have been a research on this and there have been massive liver dysfunction and QRT elongation on ECG which means Cardiac(heart problems).
The website of the Ministry of health doesn't have a working email or phone number. The members of the presidential Task force are not reading research papers and are almost walking into a time bomb. This paper was only published days ago.

If you’re struggling to keep up with the constantly evolving coronavirus symptoms, you’re not alone. While COVID-19 seems to primarily affect the lungs, doctors are sharing reports of it wreaking havoc on other parts of the body too, including the heart, the senses, the brain, the gut and — based on a growing database of case reports from dermatologists worldwide — the skin.
We don’t really know what’s happening,” Carrie Kovarik, MD, associate professor of dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania tells Yahoo Life. “We know that most people who are fighting this [virus] are seeing it for the first time, so the immune system is going crazy.”

Kovarik is a part of a nationwide COVID-19 task force created in early April to track and study the many skin reactions that have been linked to the coronavirus. As a part of that effort, experts at Harvard University and the American Academy of Dermatology have joined forces to create a database where clinicians can submit case reports on what they’re seeing. One of the most common thus far is what’s being dubbed “COVID toes” — but that’s not the only one.

What I would want to emphasize is that there are multiple skin reactions at this point of COVID-19 infection,” Dawn Davis, MD, chair of the clinical dermatology division at the Mayo Clinic tells Yahoo Lifestyle, adding that it’s unclear whether multiple rashes can appear at once. Davis says individuals should be aware of these rashes “even if they have no other symptoms consistent with COVID-19” and should contact their primary care provider to determine whether an evaluation is needed.

Here, Davis unpacks the newest potential signs of the virus and how to spot them early on.

1. A “dengue fever-like rash” that forms large red patches

Davis says that the initial reports involve a rash resembling the one caused by the mosquito-borne illness dengue fever. “It starts out as small, mild to moderately red bumps on the skin and as they increase in density they cluster together into large patches on the skin,” says Davis. “What's interesting about this rash — similar to dengue fever — is that there will be what we call an ‘island of sparing’ where certain patches of the skin won't have any involvement.”

The rash seems to not only be appearing in the U.S. but in other countries as well. In a recent paper from the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, doctors in Thailand described a patient who ultimately tested positive for COVID-19 but was initially diagnosed with dengue fever based on a rash that resembled it. Davis says the rash may progress rapidly over a couple of days, and in some cases has appeared before respiratory symptoms.

2. Hives-like rash that either spread or remain the same in size

Davis says that what’s often considered an allergic reaction may actually be showing the presence of the coronavirus. “Some patients with COVID-19 have presented with small to medium hives that spread over their body and then expand in size — although for some patients they stay the same in size,” says Davis. “People think they've gotten into something that they're sensitive to when actually it's their manifestation of the virus.”

This type of rash, she says, is not necessarily a new one when it comes to infections. “[Hives] are not an uncommon reaction to viral infections in general,” says Davis. “It’s a sign on your skin that your immune system is revved up — and that is indeed what's happening in COVID.”

3. Measles-like rash that creates “little dots all over”

Measles recently returned to the U.S. after being eliminated in the year 2000, but Davis says that the rash resembling it could be COVID-19 in some cases. “This rash also comes up in a spotted fashion but doesn't progress any further and simply looks like the patient has measles,” says Davis. “It’s red, small bumps all over but they don't come in at enough density to make large patches ... They just simply look like little dots all over the place.”

4. Discoloration of the skin that forms in a tree pattern

One of the more unusual rashes is one called “livedo” and is defined as “a bluish usually patchy discoloration of the skin.” Davis says this type of rash can appear from emotional responses, such as being afraid or embarrassed, or can be in reaction to the cold. But in this case, it’s an immune response. “Some patients with COVID are getting a livedo pattern on their skin and that's when it looks faint as if you've been embarrassed or cold or scared, but some patients are having a more intense livedo rash, meaning that it's just redder and appears coarser,” says Davis. “Then because it's darker, it can appear similar to vasculitis or your blood vessels get inflamed.”

While it’s unclear exactly what’s happening to cause this rash, Davis says that more severe cases may be a sign that the immune system is in such overdrive that it’s causing the blood to clog. Reports of amputations due to COVID-19, most recently in Broadway star Nick Cordero, bolster this theory.

5. Small, red to purple bumps or nodules on the hands and feet

The final skin reaction, technically known as “pernio,” has earned the name “COVID toes” among those sharing it online. But Davis says the reaction can occur just as frequently in the fingers and hands. “Pernio is the skin condition that happens when people's blood vessels get clotted or inflamed due to cold,” says Davis. As pediatric dermatologists shared in earlier interviews with Yahoo Life, the condition appears to be a growing “epidemic” in kids nationwide.

More research (and access to testing) is needed before doctors can definitively link pernio — and all of the skin reactions above — to COVID-19. But Davis says that, for now, the rashes may serve as an important indicator of infection. “The most important thing is recognition of these imitation-like rashes so that the patient can get diagnosed not only for their own health but also from a public health measure,” says Davis. “The best treatment for these skin rashes at this point is to treat the patient's underlying conditions from COVID-19.

Having watched with keen interest the level of propaganda being peddled by Kwara State government and her social media agents whose motives is to spin the reality surrounding illegal demolition of Ile-Arugbo and the ongoing court proceedings , I think as one of those who have been present in court since the beginning of this case , I will lend my voice to straighten this issue not because of defeated Kwara State government and her mischievous social media machineries but because of unsuspecting public who may be misinformed by their calumny antics against Saraki and the aged women whose interest is butchered by government who promised to protect them

Knowing fully that Dr Bukola Saraki continued rising popularity even outside the corridor of power is giving the present APC Government in the state a serous headache , one should understand why propaganda against Bukola Saraki is given topmost attention in this government and it would not even surprise us if there are provisions for such in the 2020 budget laid before the state Assembly .

Having said that, let me brush through some events which occurred today at the court in respect of the subject matter , I have seen propaganda flying by hired writers without regards to the integrity of the honorable court but we are not moved because the law and morality are firmly on our side

*History of The Out of Court Settlement Option*

At the last court sitting on January 15th where both lawyers , that is, saraki's family lawyer (Standing for Ile-Arugbo) and government lawyer presented themselves before the court , one of the defendants in the case who happened to be the Inspector General of Police was absent, the presiding judge then ordered that he be served through substituted means (pasting of court summon in kwara state Police Hq ) to make sure he has notice of the next court hearing which was today.

After the issue of picking a suitable adjournment date had been settled between both parties , the presiding judge in his wisdom now admonished both sides to consider dropping their individual ego in the interest of the state and toe the path of Peace with respect to the case before it .

The judge in his magnanimity had observed that it would be unwise for a piece of land not up to one plot to be creating serious tension and acrimony in the state, hence advised both parties to employ possible peaceful dialogue rather than putting the court through rigorous processes in settling the dispute which appeared to be drawing political tension in the state .

Following this, b both counsel took the hint and advise of tthe Honorable court to work out possible modalities to engage one another on possible out of court settlement in order to give peace a chance .

On the basis of that and since it is the normal tradition of lawyers in the spirit of amicable settlement to fashion out convenient date, time and venue for the parties to meet and discuss the way forward, as a matter of fact, either of the lawyer can write to the other lawyer suggesting date, time and venue for the meeting in order to speed up the process of reconciliation.
saraki's family having been known in Ilorin and kwara in general to be a peaceful family, their subsequently caused a letter to be written to the government in a bid to abide by the gentlemen agreements which was to be reached before His Lordship at the prior hearings , the letter which was expected to be treated with utmost confidentiality by the state government was however transmitted to some media outlets working with the government with an ulterior motives to blackmail the Sarakis family who have been enjoying public encomium since inception of this illegality.

As if that was not enough , Premiumtimes was also contracted to assist them spread the letter to have wide coverage beyond the state .

All these are strategies to push Dr Bukola Saraki and his supporters to the wall so as to reduce ourselves to the mud inside which the government and its hired writers are swimming ,but our long experience in government plus moral upbringing have placed us above their evil schemes until this morning in court.

*WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN COURT YESTERDAY*

Earlier today at the court , there was no much waste of time as Saraki's lawyers had already received response from the state government agreeing to the Court's advice and welcoming the move for peaceful resolutions.

At the resume hearing , Saraki lawyers said before Lordship thus :

*"On January 15th, your lordship conscientiously advised parties to explore amicable settlement of the case out of court in the interest of peace in this state of harmony. Consequent upon that , we as counsel to the claimant had to persuade our client and after thorough discussions, our client instructed us to write a letter to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the state of our readiness to meet with him. And the said letter was served on 20th January, 2020 on the state Attorney general who in return served on us this morning in court their response letter dated January 23rd, 2020 from the Kwara state Ministry of Justice. In the letter we are invited for a meeting slated for 27th January, 2020.*"

*“We want to explore the opportunity this court has afforded us. We therefore, apply that an adjournment is imminent and inevitable.”*

The government lawyers upon hearing this also explained to the Judge that they align with the position of Saraki's Lawyers , this was also accepted by the representative of the inspector general of police .

The judge therefore expressed his happiness that both parties are ready to embrace peace .

*We were therefore surprised to read in the social media falsehood about inability of lawyers to tender R of O before the court when in fact and in reality the case has not come up for hearing where both parties would have opportunity to present their family and documents to substantiate their case. And the issue of hearing/trial could only come to play when settlement has broken down irretrievably between the parties but that has not been so because the case is still at the preliminary stage for Mention.*

*Kwarans are happy that Saraki has approached the court being the last hope of a common man.We believe that the road to success may be a tortious journey but we have high hope in the judiciary.*

The sarakis family with the prayers of the aged women, sympathisers, supporters, ardent folowers and the RAHMA of the Almighty Allah will triumph over any evil machinations, propaganda, concocted lies, fake news and the rest designed or fashioned against them.

A man who allegedly robbed a Colorado bank and then threw the stolen cash into the air while shouting, 'Merry Christmas' to passersby has been arrested.David Wayne Oliver, 65, was found by cops while sitting at a nearby Starbucks coffee shop after he allegedly held up the Academy Bank in Colorado Springs on Monday afternoon.

Police said he had 'threatened the use of a weapon' and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A police spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment, but Colorado Springs television station KKTV reported that eyewitness Dion Pascale recounted Oliver stepped outside the bank and tossed the money 'all over the place.'

'He started throwing money out of the bag' before yelling, 'Merry Christmas,' the TV station quoted Pascale as saying. 

Pascale said bystanders retrieved some of the money and returned it to the bank as Oliver walked to the Starbucks, sat down and appeared to be waiting for police to arrest him, KKTV reported.

The Denver Post quoted police as saying 'thousands of dollars' remained unaccounted for, adding there was no indication Oliver used a weapon in the alleged heist.
