The executive governor of Rivers State Barr Nyesom Wike was alleged to appear drunk during his live interview of Seun's Politics Today On Channels Television on Friday.
The Governor was noticed at some point during the interview talking out of context and sometimes dozing off while speaking.

Some People who followed the Program which was streamed live on the television station facebook page @Channels Television, felt disappointed and blamed his aides for allowing him appear on a live program in such state.

The Only Female candidate for the Bwari Area Council Chairman Election escaped from kidnappers.[b][/b]

Hon Patricia Nkem Ogah who is contesting under the Young Progressive Party (YPP) was earlier today Thursday, attacked by gunmen on her way from a radio interview today.

It was said that the kidnappers who were driving a black Toyota Camry overtook her vehicle at Ushafa road, she quickly alighted from the car and ran into a nearby bush alongside her driver.

Hon Patricia,in a voice call confirmed that she's safe, and assured the people of Bwari that no level of intimidation will stop her from contesting and she encouraged the people of Bwari to be calm and come out on Saturday to vote YPP.

At the time of writing this report, the Police Area commander is yet to give any statement..

Hon Patricia is the only female candidate contesting for the office of Chairman in the forth coming fct area Council election coming up this Saturday.

Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has delivered judgement in the case brought by one Hassan Zakari (plaintiff) against the incumbent chairman and Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2022 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council election, John Gabaya Shekwogaza, His Deputy and The Independent National electoral commission INEC as 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants.

In almost one(1) hour judgement, Justice Obiora Egwuatu ruled the case brought for determination separately; while the court hold that the 1st defendants is qualified to contest the election, the 2nd defendant and the incumbent Vice chairman was technically disqualified as the court ruled that it did not agreed that the certificates he tendered to the 3rd defendant for purpose of contesting the 2022 FCT election are not forged.

The court also said that the defendants claim that the plaintiff has no locust standing to challenge it’s eligibility because He was not an aspirant or a political party was not true.

The court reserve the interpretation of the judgement to the appellate court.

Speaking to journalists, counsel to the 1st and 2nd defendant Pius Pius said the judgement has been delivered in parts. ” The trial court has done it best, definitely the appellate court will clarify the issues that the that the trial court has left unresolved, the trial court had agreed that the documents were not issued by either of the parties but were issued by appropriate authorities but the relief seek by the plaintiff are that the 1st and 2nd defendants forged this documents.We will get the judgement, we will advise our clients and tell them the right that the constitution hold for them, this is pre-election case, this court is not the highest court, there are still two court ahead of this court wherein this court will assisted in resolving this issue.”

For the counsel to the plaintiff, Praise Ahiaba said “the judgment against the first defendant didn’t go in their favour but having disqualified the vice chairman, Musa Aminu from contesting in the 2022 FCT council poll, the Chairman cannot run alone since there are both running on joint ticket”.

The plaintiff and the defendants are getting set to appeal the judgment of the lower court.

Exactly on the 18th of February this Year,someone hacked into my Facebook and had access to my 3 atm Cards.
One belonged to me and the others to my Friend.

I made a complain to Facebook,they investigated and confirmed the fraudulent activity and they immediately made a refund of this money.

Weeks later my friend got a refund of his money on his two accounts.

Till now I'm yet to get mine.
I've called access bank,they keep posting me,today , tomorrow etc

I just want to know if it's possible to sue them.

I can guess that you are young probably below 21, I have come to this conclusion because you have expectations, only young and inexperienced Nigerians have expectations of how things should be working.

That being said, i want you to know that you are partly correct, and partly wrong. Firstly, we are in Nigeria which when you google it is synonymous with ‘Shit hole’, ‘Zoo’ and ‘Failed state’. Nothing really works the way it should in Nigeria, Open University shouldn’t be an exception.

Go to the Open University thread here in educations section of NL and add Samisha to your contact, tell her to add you to the group. She posts regular updates and she is reliable.

I had expectations when i started this school, I dropped it fast and adapted. I used to complain about textbooks like you, I stopped when I realized that no one gives a dammn, swim or sink. Get yourself an android tablet or iPad and download the coursewares on it, better than printing it out.

I expected that since its an Open University, we would be updated about the goings on in the school via Email, but my dear like Falz said ‘This is Nigeria’

Firstly, I'm in my late twenties.i no be small PIKIN.
I've a laptop (core i7)
My anger is that despite their inability to provide this materials,they still collect money from students.

If you have issues, you are always free to go to your centre to complain and if they can't, they will surely escalate the issue to headquarters.

Well I will answer you to the best of my knowledge.

1. I won't say NOUN doesn't pass information rather I will say you want information to be brought to your doorstep. Do you follow NOUN on twitter and not get information and on time? Are you in your centre's Whatsapp/telegram group and information wasn't passed? My advice, go follow NOUN on twitter and join your centre's Whatsapp/telegram group so that you can be getting information and on time. Although, the information about this current examination was passed shortly to the exam, I can tell you that immediately the information came out, 95% of students got to know within few hours. The remaining 5% are the ones that want centre officials to be calling them personally to give them update. Even instructions for the examination was passed since last week.

2. NOUN doesn't have union. The school was firstly created for workers but now most students are young school leavers. How do you expect workers to organise student unions.

3. NOUN's policy is either to give you materials in hard or soft copies, so if you have 3 or 4 textbooks out of 8, go online and download the others. All course materials are online.

Please, stop discouraging people from getting admission into NOUN because you kinda failed to do your part.

1.Countless time, i have asked for a whatsapp or telegram group of my study centre, till date, i have not be given any response...The school doesn't notify students via sms or emails of any changes..(afterall, what is the essence of them collecting our emails and phone numbers?).
Most times we only get to hear some information only whenever we come to school

2.If there is no student union who do students run to for help?.That means the management decision is final, even when it affects the student..
On the issue of workers organizing a union, we have so many examples of workers operating a functional union,NOUN shouldnt be an exception.

3.After collecting money for the same materials, they still want us to use our money again to go and print materials in soft copy.
Why dont dey refund us the money to enable us go and print the soft copies?
Last semester i did about 8courses but was given only 1 material, the money for the 7 was not given to me..Why allow us pay for something you know is not available?

We pay per semester,2semesters in a year.
It kinda expensive tho
