Nigeria imports something like this.

Somebody dey make millions from this, but e no fit produce am here

Lol.
I don't know what the lol is about, but it's true

Growing up, wall tiles were imported. Today we have Goodwill and CDK producing 90% of it. Infact, Nigerians are now distributors for them

Goodwill and CDK are Chinese companies in Ogun state

There are many things we import, that can be produced here easily

We are waiting for Soludo to print the Bank statement and show us the transfers.

The kind of bitter politics Obi has faced from his own brothers is funny.

Someone has ruled 8 years
You have ruled 4 years, but you are still throwing stones to go as far as 12 years ago.

Oh, I see...... So the super-wholesalers have become retailers and retailers now want them out before the suffocate them?

The thing is not peculiar to trade fair now, sometime ago I saw posts on social media promoting a particular mega chinese warehouse on the island. Funny thing is the Chinese are even paying Nigerian influencers to direct retailers to their stores.

But come to think of it, other countries dey make laws to protect local businesses ......but the truth is such countries also protect consumers from exploitation and the greed of retailers for abnormal profit.
When Nigerians were setting ring light in China to show how cheap things were in the name of "Business", I knew we were inviting price crashers.

Most of all these items are things that can be produced here. Why can't these guys pool resources together to do it here?

We import cotton buds, threads and very funny stuff. After spending 20 years making billions, why not produce here so you can change the game however you want?

Those protests mean nothing. People will go and find those Chinese wherever they are

And with the Chinese you have more confidence you are actually buying the original or the at least the first grade knock off.

Not the grade 4 knock off at price of original
I don't know why they didn't see this coming

They had decades to structure themselves as indispensable, but "Buying and Selling" is the only vision they had.

Chinese don flood Nigerian market and are now retailing sef.

Importer & Exporter don dey cry. grin

What is even funnier is that leaving the market changes nothing. The Chinese can still establish it anywhere and make their sales

The bold is just my concern, it seem we've lost the ability to be enraged by the things that should make one seriously vexed bas a citizen. Na yeye things we come dey vex on top.
I have no issues if APC paid agents or political hopefuls defend it. My concern is how an average or poor man can't think.

Let me give you another instance

Margaret Obi, a private citizen, who's husband has no keys to the public vault is dragged for holding a bag worth hundreds of millions.

Meanwhile, Tinubu has spent 37 billion naira on foreign trips since 2023. The highest ever done since 1914

He has also spent 260plus days on vacation since 2023.

That's how Nigeria has messed up the brains of its people. Wetin dey abnormal don dey normal

To me, the government at Federal and state levels just want the easy way out by jacking up schools while promising they would raise the standard of learning/education in government owned varsities. They just want to keep spending money on other irrelevant stuff that neither build human capital nor bring development society while government officials & politicians don't have their funding cut.

Lagos state government that has tax collection running on Steroids will tell you it cannot afford to make LASU, LASPOTECH and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education affordable for the public.....but when u look at government officials, lawmakers and political appointees feeding fat on tax payers' money u just know these people don see mugu's to whine well well.

If you tour business districts like V.I, Marina and co while observing the thousands of companies domiciled in these areas and you start imagining the kind of Corporate Income Tax, Land use charge and other form of taxes the government gets from these businesses. Then you go to Markets like Computer Village, Trade Fair, Alaba, etc and also think about the kind of income the state government generates from businesses domiciled within these areas ....etc you will have a faint idea of the kind of money the government makes.

Never mind the state government has refused to domestic FOI bill and will not respond to you if you make a formal or informal request as a citizen/taxpayer to know exactly what the state makes. But the government will tell you they cannot make any of the public institutions accessible without increasing fees.

Nigerian politicians are the luckiest in the world for the kind of citizen wey dem dey lead sha.
Nigeria has a way of messing one's thought process, that you may not to decipher what's right from wrong.

I watched a video of Ortom saying he took Benue state government to court because they seized 23 cars that belonged to him.

The Interviewer asked him how he got 23 cars. He said it's a tradition that a governor leaving would take all the vehicles assigned to him.

If you gather 1 million indigenes of Benue and explain this story to them, they won't be vexed to do anything. That's how Nigeria has deformed our thought process

Where are even all the jobs for the university graduates that we are churning out every year?

Are these students also aware that NELFUND isn't free? Are they aware that they must pay that debt?

I also don't have issues with any increment as long as it matches with value, and we all know it doesn't.

The government should leave University wahala and start paying more attention to technical education. There's a large hole to fill in that area. To find good hands in technical areas now na by connection.

Some political bigwigs today had to prostrate and beg too

Some even went naked to carry sacrifice

Let me ask, If dem tell you to wear sack cloth, ashes and barb gorimapa to get sure HoR seat wont you do it

This was Wike kneeling for Jonathan

It was said that Tinubu had to prostrate to Afenifere people to get the AD ticket in 1999

OBJ had to beg Atiku to get the return ticket in 2003

Kneeling and begging na small thing when the prize is generational wealth

When Wike was seeking power he was almost carrying Madam patience on his back and na small remain make he dey sit on Mama Patience lap like a toddler
This picture of Wike kneeling doesn't depict the same thing as that of Mr Lover boy.

So if APC is relegated today, Desmond go commit seppuku?

You have lost. It's over. What's with the extra ridicule? Will Gbaja give him the HoR seat again?

Thanks for asking this question. I wanted to make a post on this yesterday, but I got busy with events I didn't forecast.

The benue state governor has indirectly mobilized youths/thugs to block Peter Obi from entering benue state two times. This is the second time he's doing it.

Now, it begs the question, if benue had such capable youths and thugs the governor could mobilize, why are they always wailing about Fulani herdsmen and bandits rampaging in benue? It makes no sense.

It is clear all the stories about Fulani herdsmen, and bandits terrorizing benue residents are false alarm by the various benue state governments, we should endeavor to ignore their wailings going forward.

If they can mobilize youths and thugs to block Obi, they should be able to mobilize the same youths and thugs to drive away the Fulani herdsmen, and bandits they always wail about. Fvck benue state.
It is very wrong to use the actions of 20 or even 100 people to stereotype a state.

The Youths who blocked Obi do not speak for a state of 3 million people.

I also believe that both events are different; One is politically motivated. The other is a ripple of the deep rot in our security structure.

No need to curse a whole state because of the actions of few people

This opay issue made me realize there are lots of educated illiterates in this country. I was seeing educated people who claim to be exposed also spreading this rumor, and believing it. I told one that it was impossible, even before Opay clarified it was false.

Opay have gotten to that "too big to fail" stage. They cannot fail, the government cannot allow them to fail because of the millions of people it'll affect, and the aftereffects of such an occurrence.
The large chunk of false information spreading on social media is worrisome.

People will set ring light, on camera and begin to spread jargons.
