Why go that far back ?

You should also accept that Nigeria decimated Biafra.
Throw out political correctness and reconciliation and say Victor and vanquished.

Power is power might is right and the losers should take it because they are weaker.

Lasg has tracking software used with their cameras. These can read your license plate and catch you if you break laws. But I doubt FG has this. Maybe for crime but that doesn't really work either in Nigeria
Even in Lagos, 3MB has the least crimes amongst all FG roads.

Even in traffic, nobody is robbing you, compared to Lagos Badagry expressway, or Eko Bridge

BlueRayDick:
Well, to the best of my knowledge the CCTV is required to monitor and control crime on the bridge. You know how vehicles breakdown on the bridge and hoodlums just swarm the vehicle occupants with the aim of either forcefully obtaining cash from them or outrightly rob them.

I want to believe the CCTV will be manned and security agents will be close by to intervene when such incidents occur going forward.

I also think the presence of monitoring officers in the CCTV control room will aid fast response to accident scene on the bridge going forward.

All of these assumptions is hoping the CCTV will be used like they ought and not that it was just an avenue to take out money from the treasury.

That being said, I agree other major highways across the country also need this CCTV to combat crime along the highways.
The only recorded crimes committed on 3MB is when a vehicle breaks down. That's when you see 3 touts harassing victims.

So because of at most, 20 people causing mischief on the bridge, we use 2.5 billion to put CCTV, and still incur monthly expenses?

We never really talk wetin wan make us put 2.5 billion there
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:34am On Jan 13
BlueRayDick:
they said the cost of the CCTV is N2.5billion and not N40billion that was earlier reported.

https://www.nairaland.com/8598058/third-mainland-bridge-surveillance-cost

To think that one stewpiid BATist was actually defending the N40 billion cost on front page yesterday and was busy insulting anybody who pointed out how ridiculous the N40 billion price tag for only CCTV surveillance sounded to sane minds.
I saw the comment yesterday, and I wasn't surprised.

But I am still trying to understand what we need a CCTV for in Third Mainland bridge.

There are thousands of Federal Roads where this surveillance would be needed.

Maybe I dey in the past oh, but I no know wetin we need am for

The Onojie's palace. Oba is the title of the Oba of Benin. Also, stop your silly assumption about the police just rounding up 40 random students. Were you there ?

It's annoying when outsiders just like to mind our business as if we owed them something.
Says the hegoat who was running his mouth against Musk like he owed him anything.

Yes, there's no proof that the 40 students paraded yesterday were the same who vandalized the Oba's palace.

Stay pained!

Na super cash out sef.

Thw first and obmy time I've been to the neuropsychatry hospital in Yaba(Yaba left) was when I was in either 300l or 400l when we offered a course that required us going to different levels of hospital ( primary Healthcare centers, general hospital, tertiary hospitals/teaching hospitals, specialized hospitals like Yaba left, etc) to carry out some findings/research.

It was while within the premises of Yaba left I saw at close range what harm drug abuse has done to individuals and their families. No be small thing at all.

Some parents bundle their kids down there and spend serious amount of money to rehabilitate them.
One of the discouragements for the Average Nigerian taking drugs should be that nobody will care for you in Nigeria grin

Go to Aro, in Ogun state. Psychiatrists are over worked. Patients are coming in by the second.

Once in a while, parents should take their teenagers to these facilities, so they can truly understand the price to pay when taking hard drugs.

I'm sure that memory will not depart from their heads in a long while

The problem is that the NPF went to AAU and packed 40 people as the suspects.

I think that's where the uproar is coming from.

Is there any proof that those who killed goats and attacked the Oba's house are the same in the black Maria?

They just keep inventing different strategies on how to rob this country dry everyday.

They just call billions like it's some chicken change.....na wa o.

CCTV is good and should be installed not just on third mainland bridge but major highways to monitor/control/prevent crime. However, calling 40 billion as the cost of fixing the CCTV on third mainland bride alone is criminal.
We have highways all over the country that need urgent security attention.

Na 3rd Mainland bridge wey no soul dey waka on top dem wan use 40 billion do CCTV.

When Northern politicians say Tinubu na President of Lagos, we go say na lie.

Is there any sense in this project?

I visited their office closest to me this morning and they said they are out of stock in all their Lagos outlet for both table fan and standing fan.

They will be having the standing fan by next week, so they promised to contact me during the week to inform me of its availability. I'll most likely get it next week Sha.

The lady I met there said it lasts like 10 hours when blowing on the highest speed and can last 24 hours while blowing on the lowest speed. It looks like the perfect Choice if it works as they claim
Sounds like the best choice.

Hopefully, their word is their bond.
