NEED A VACCINATION SCHEDULE OF HOW AND WHEN TO GIVE DIFFERENT DRUGS TO YOUR BIRDS ? YOU CAN USE MINE

*BROILER DAILY MEDICATION (INCLUDING MULTIVITAMINS,*
*VACCINATIONS AND ORAL MEDICATION).*

DAY 1. Glucose/ Milk /Multivitamins should be given to the birds to ease them of the stress of transportation they went through when they are transported from the hatchery to the farm.

DAY 2-5 .Use Multivitamins And Antibiotics For your birds( Amoxyl col + Powervit)

DAY 6– 8 Anticoccidiosis Oral medication( EMBAZIN FORTE ) should be administered because their litter would have already start getting wet when they at day 8.

Day 9-10. Treat them against Respiratory Disease Such as CRD And Bronchitis By Giving Your Birds ( CORYL SP And Power vit)

DAY 11- First Vaccination On the 11th Should Be Gumboro Vaccine. The best time to combat viral poultry diseases is when the birds are still young when the vaccine can still gets them immuned against Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD).
NOTE- And Remember Lasota should not be administered without adding milk it makes your Vaccination more effective.

Day 12 – 13 MULTIVITAMINS Or Just Water

Day 14- First Lasota Vaccination should be given to your birds and must be done early in the morning after feeding your birds E.G- If you have 100 birds give them 100doses of Lasota vaccine and if its 1000birds give them 1000doses. And also remember don’t give your birds antibiotics 3days before you vaccinate them only administer MULTIVITAMIN days before you vaccinate them.
After your first Lasota Vaccination the next Lasota Vaccination should be given every 30days. And also the Quantity of water to be used to vaccinate your birds should be quarter(1/4) of the total water you give them in the morning. Remember to Also add milk to their Vaccination.

Day 15-18. Anticoccidiosis (Totrazuril)

DAY 19 -22. Use Multivitamins And Antibiotics. Amoxyl Col Ans Power vit.

DAY 23- 25. ANTIBIOTICS and MULTIVITAMINS - Doxygen and Powervit.

Day 26- 28. Treat Respiratory Diseases such as CRD By giving your birds
( CORYL- SP )

DAY 29 – 35. (Anticoccidiosis ( EMBAZIN FORTE OR Totrazuril).

DAY 36-48. Water

(WEEK 6).
DAY 44. ANOTHER LASOTA VACCINE MUST BE ADMINISTERED.

NEXT 3 DAYS.
(GIVE EMBAZIN FORTE OR Tatrazuril FOR 3DAYS TO TREAT COCCIDIOSIS AND CRD)
THEN GIVE MULTIVITAMINS FOR ONE DAY,

WEEK 7.
GIVE MULTIVITAMINS
AND
MULTIVITAMINS- Doxygen for 3days the rest days water

WEEK 8

*15 THINGS TO KNOW WHEN FEEDING YOUR BIRDS TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM WEIGHTS THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO SELL AND MAKE MORE PROFITS*

To ensure that your broilers that you are raising have the lowest mortality, good food conversion ratio (FCR), and highest profit. You have to follow a good feeding schedule and techniques.

1)Quantity of Feed
You see, broiler production is ‘what you sow you will reap business ‘
As a general rule, it takes about 2kg of feed to produce 1kg of flesh in broilers.
Therefore, the quantity of feed to supply depends majorly on your target weight and the age you want to sell or slaughter the birds.

2)For a broiler farmer that intends to sell his stock at 2kg body weight at 6 weeks and 6weeks of age, the farmer must be ready to feed the bird 4Kg - 4.5kg of feed per bird is, while for farmers that intend to sell birds at 8 weeks at3.5kg will need
7Kg - 7.5kg of feed per bird.

3)To maximize profit in broiler production, no broiler should be kept beyond 8weeks to ensure maximum profit.

4)some birds naturally tends to eat more than others and this is the reason while you have to sort and grad your broilers when they are at 2weeks so that those eating more than the others will be separated, to make sure they all eat well.

5)Separate the big broilers (those eating more) in one part of the housing from the slow eaters. And feed them separately using the same feed quantity.

6)Find out the accurate grams you should be feeding your bird.

7)After knowing the quantity of feed to be given to each broiler, the next thing is to understand the techniques of supplying the feed.

Practice Ad-libitum Feeding: This will make your birds achieve 2-3kg between 5-6weeks of age without using any feed addictives and organic boosters.

9)Restricted feeding is not the best practice for broiler farmers who intend to achieve better weights within limited period of them.This is because of the restricted feeding which will result in reduced growth rates.

10)Feed your birds Starter, starting from day 1 - day 10, You can also feed your birds Starter feeds from 11-24th.But you can feed your birds Finisher feed from their 25th day to market, not later than day 42 when the birds are expected to have 2.7kg live weight.

Things to be aware of during the Vaccination Of your poultry Birds to prevent vaccine failure.* 1. Ensure the birds are healthy . 2. Stop giving them drugs 1 - 2 days before vaccination. 3. Make sure all is set before going to vet shops to buy the vaccines or removing the vaccine bottle from the ice/cooler/fridge 4. Try not to expose the vaccines to sunlight as possible to avoid reducing the effectiveness of the vaccines. 5. Make sure you have helping hands around on the day you want to vaccinate your birds so that they can help you in dispensing the drinkers and packing out the drinkers that are empty. 6. Watch out for birds that are refusing to drink the vaccines from the drinkers , hold them gently and dip their beak into the water so as for all of them to have taste of the vaccine. 7. Sufficient drinkers should be made available, preferably one (1) drinker to 10 -15 birds. This will greatly increase the number of birds that will taste the vaccine. Truth be told, no one will buy birds that don’t weight up to what they want and not up to their satisfaction. Especially if there are other options to buy from nearby, they will gladly leave birds that looks cheaper and small and go for birds that looks more bigger and more expensive.
So if you want to make more profits with broilers make sure to feed your birds to have more weights.
So practice this 4things to add weights to your birds more faster.

1)Type Of Breed.
There are different hatcheries producing chicks and the quality of their chicks are different from each other. We have different breeds in Nigeria but the most common breeds that grows well and give the best result are Arbor Acre & Ross.
So make sure to order for quality birds from good hatcheries and suppliers , and this is because no matter how much you feed poor breed birds from medium hatcheries they won’t give you good enough results and some will even later end up as runts after eating all your feed and I know you don’t want such to happen.

2)Quality Feeding & Feeding-over night.
After getting good breeds,the next thing to make sure of is to get quality-feeds, and make sure not to under feed your birds. Also put enough feeders and drinkers for your birds so as to make the feed goes round and all of them are feeding well. Broilers are birds that eat overnight so if you want to achieve fast growth within fewer weeks, make sure to give your birds feed overnight and also supply them lighting that will make them see why feeding at night. The advantage of feeding birds overnight is that everywhere is cool in the night and they convert feed to fat more efficiently when it’s cool.

3)Using Organic Growth promoter.
Knowing how to prepare Egg Emulsion with molasses and other Growth-promoter will also help a lot in boasting the growth of your birds and help you get better results within few weeks if you give it to them regularly.

4)Practicing Good Biosecurity Measures.
Last point, please never joke with the health of your birds if you want them to grow faster. Practicing a good biosecurity measure includes disposing wet and smelly litters regularly, preventing wild animals such as rats from entering your farm , not allowing your birds to eat outside their pen, Preventing other farmers and birds from other farms from entering your pen.

Is your poultry house protecting your chicks from cold, rain, wind and too much heat during brooding? Do you give your chicks enough space for their feeding,drinking and eating during brooding ?
If you really want to achieve zero or no mortality during brooding your chicks you need to put in a lot of work to give out the best housing to your chicks.

Brooding can be classified into natural and artificial brooding.
It is also a place of safety where baby chicks are kept warm, fed, watered and cared for until they are able to care for themselves.

Equipment used for artificial brooding are called brooders.
• Electricity through brooder lamps
• Charcoal through Coal pots and brooder pots
• Kerosene through kerosene lamps
• Gas through gas brooders. These are the latest in the brooder
market.

Thus, it is often difficult to maintain the body temperature properly for the first few weeks of life-as birds might be subjected to chilling and cold if you don’t properly introduce enough heating source for them.

10Things You must make sure of when brooding day old chicks.

1)Check the brooder for proper temperature 24 hours prior to the arrival of chicks

2)Switch on the brooder heating source several hours before the arrival of the chicks in order to maintain required brooding temperature.

3)Always observe and notice the reaction of the chicks to the heating source in order to find out if the temperature provided is not to high or too low.

4)During brooding, one can use a combination of brooding equipment.
For example I use charcoal as a source of heat during the day and electricity during the night. It all depends on your available resources.

5)You also need to keep the brooder floor warm by putting a layer of dry wood chippings.
These also help to absorb the chicken droppings thus ensuring that the brooder is dry at all times.
Never put saw dust in a brooder for chicks. Always put wood chippings or shavings.

6)You need to add vitamins or liquid paraffin to drinking water. Vitamins for chicks are important as they help the chicks gain weight faster, overcome stress due to handling as they are transported from the hatchery to the brooder.
Liquid paraffin helps in digestion of feed by the chicks and also helps prevent constipation in chicks too.

7)Keep the brooder temperature within the range of 30 degrees to 35 degrees decreasing at 4 degrees per week for up 3 weeks.

After two weeks, the chicks must have begin to acquire the ability to regulate their own temperature since they have started to have feathers.

9)Also there must be increased feed intake and general activity.

10 you need to expand the brooder space as the chicks grow to avoid overcrowding which can lead to death and poor feed intake by some of the chicks due to inaccessible feeders and drinkers.

Is your poultry house protecting your chicks from cold, rain, wind and too much heat during brooding? Do you give your chicks enough space for their feeding,drinking and eating during brooding ?
If you really want to achieve zero or no mortality during brooding your chicks you need to put in a lot of work to give out the best housing to your chicks.

Brooding can be classified into natural and artificial brooding.
It is also a place of safety where baby chicks are kept warm, fed, watered and cared for until they are able to care for themselves.

Equipment used for artificial brooding are called brooders.
• Electricity through brooder lamps
• Charcoal through Coal pots and brooder pots
• Kerosene through kerosene lamps
• Gas through gas brooders. These are the latest in the brooder
market.

Thus, it is often difficult to maintain the body temperature properly for the first few weeks of life-as birds might be subjected to chilling and cold if you don’t properly introduce enough heating source for them.

10Things You must make sure of when brooding day old chicks.

1)Check the brooder for proper temperature 24 hours prior to the arrival of chicks

2)Switch on the brooder heating source several hours before the arrival of the chicks in order to maintain required brooding temperature.

3)Always observe and notice the reaction of the chicks to the heating source in order to find out if the temperature provided is not to high or too low.

4)During brooding, one can use a combination of brooding equipment.
For example I use charcoal as a source of heat during the day and electricity during the night. It all depends on your available resources.

5)You also need to keep the brooder floor warm by putting a layer of dry wood chippings.
These also help to absorb the chicken droppings thus ensuring that the brooder is dry at all times.
Never put saw dust in a brooder for chicks. Always put wood chippings or shavings.

6)You need to add vitamins or liquid paraffin to drinking water. Vitamins for chicks are important as they help the chicks gain weight faster, overcome stress due to handling as they are transported from the hatchery to the brooder.
Liquid paraffin helps in digestion of feed by the chicks and also helps prevent constipation in chicks too.

7)Keep the brooder temperature within the range of 30 degrees to 35 degrees decreasing at 4 degrees per week for up 3 weeks.

After two weeks, the chicks must have begin to acquire the ability to regulate their own temperature since they have started to have feathers.

9)Also there must be increased feed intake and general activity.

10 you need to expand the brooder space as the chicks grow to avoid overcrowding which can lead to death and poor feed intake by some of the chicks due to inaccessible feeders and drinkers.

Many Broller farmers are using deep litter system to raise their birds why very few uses Battery Cages (iron suspension cage)
to raise their Broilers. And I think so many people believe that the battery cages is only meant for Layers and that's why they have not chosen to use it for raising both their day old and weeks old broilers.

Battery cages system Also known as (iron suspension cage) when used to raise Broilers is very advantageous over deep litter system because the issue of Diseases such as COCCIDIOSIS and CRD that manifest themselves in wet and dirty environment has already been dealt with.

Since most of the diseases that attacks birds needs watery,moist,wet and dirty litter to manifest themselves, they won’t be able to appear in battery cage system
because the birds droppings which is the diseases house falls below the cages and also any water that can make diseases show up doesn’t stay in the cages but drains immediately below the cages.

In battery cage systems the occurence of Coccidiosis, fowl cholera and CRD is very low and this will also help farmers to save the money spent on drugs and
