TMKsouth: Hmmm, and get cheered on from back home. Yep! because the idiots back home are too brain-dead to realise that the energy is needed back in Nigeria, not in Hillbrow. |

TMKsouth: I meant a first presidential term lasts 4 to 5 years in most African countries. So presidents should have something to show for it. In Africa that's very little time.Even sane successors will have a hard time cleaning after a mess created by a previous tyrant. |

Raph82: Who wants to die? The youths that protested last time, we saw how they opened fire on them. Nobody is pleased with the situation and nobody wants to die prematurely. That's quite a fix. It boggles my mind though. Why are you guys scared to die fighting for your freedom in your own country but will pick up machetes and fight "xenophobic" South Africans in their country just for space in dilapidated Hillbrow and Sunnyside? Perhaps misplaced priorities is another problem you have? |
Nairaland General › Re: Why South Africa Is Ahead Of Nigeria by JaceBlaze: 12:52pm On Apr 06, 2021 |
Raph82: Not me but those that have been leading us since independence. The few ones with such qualities won't be allowed to get to seat of power where they can effect change. You have become complacent perhaps because I don't see how for the last 60+ years 200 million people have not started a revolution to overthrow the bad government. |

TMKsouth: They were being dumped in Nigeria, together with the Technos of this world.
I'd seriously forgotten about LG phones, were they even sold in SA? Seems like whenever the world no longer see any value in something they dump it in Nigeria...hai man. I had a GW300 back in 2010,used it up to 2014.I don't know how many models were made and sold in SA since then. |

LG was still making phones up to now? LG is a dying brand anyway because even their other electronic products are not doing well. |

TMKsouth: I'm also unimpressed that you don't have your own country and are now scavenging off other countries. We don't need a score review from a stateless person like you. I've noticed "Nigerians" are also complaining about you and that you the source of drugs and arrogance in SA. So it's great you not considering SA as an option anymore. Spread the word. Ouch... Raph82: God punish awolowo and his colleagues who fought for early independence for Nigeria just because of their selfish interest (to become leaders), had it been they let things be as they were, those whites would have turned Nigeria to modern day Japan before thinking of taking over from the whites. That was what helped SA. Those whites had developed SA to good standard before Mandela and co fought for power shift. |

TMKsouth: Dude, I gave up on this team forever ago, so not even doing follow-ups. The little I caught on Twitter was the usual memes of the disappointment of pinning your hopes on Bafana, how they are spoilt brats, and that resources be redirected to Banyana instead. Same old, same old. You speak for most of us,our hope in Bafana has faded eons ago.But let's be real, are Banyana really worth it since nobody watches women football? Hell even women themselves hate soccer.Wouldn't that be a waste to put resources in matches that don't sell tickets and have low TV viewership? This thing of comparing Banyana with Bafana needs to die...In MY opinio. |

TMKsouth: You can never satisfy our African brothers. You exclude them they cry xenophobia, you include them they brag you can't do without them and that they 'dominate' you (their favourite word). Very true. Anyway, why are they making a big deal out of the fact that South Africa didn't qualify? |

lexy2014: Yes u did. It's not about Percy Tau or Siya Kolisi. It's that it's an irony that South Africa is a champion & a successful country in rugby but can't produce footballers who can play physical football One thing got nothing to do with the other. To excell in one or two things doesn't mean you will excell in all. Have ever seen how Rugby players train? |

Odinaka00: If South Africa can start doing like France by picking some foreigners who re talented in SA, trust no country in Africa can beat them.. there re lots footballers who re stranded in South Africa currently, they came here to find a football club but didn’t succeed and now they re stranded, no papers and no money. But these guys play better than some EPL players..There is this Cameroonian guy that plays with us every Sunday at Bruma Park...This guy is so good that sometimes I ll ask him “What re you still doing here with us?” You re still young and very very talented, you shouldn’t be seen around here then he confessed to me that he played for Cameroonian under 21, he showed me pics...But he came here 4yrs ago to see if he could get a nice club but it didn’t work out for him.
My point is if South African Fa can go to the street and scout players regardless of nationality, Bafana Bafana will be strong. That’s what France is doing and look at them today So that every time we win you can rub it in our face that we are winning with foreign players? no thank you. |

lexy2014: SA has one of d best rugby traditions in d world yet it can't play physical football I guess it's because a strong physique is one of the cardinal requirements in rugby as the game is naturally physically demanding. That's why there is nobody the size of Percy Tau in Rugby...that just wouldn't look right LoL |
Nairaland General › Re: Why South Africa Is Ahead Of Nigeria by JaceBlaze: 9:31am On Mar 29, 2021 |
Blurpy: I've just stayed in South Africa for some time and I noticed how ahead they are than Nigeria
1) They have 24/7 electricity,if there is going to be power outage, they will let you know on time and when it will be back ( not always less than 40 minutes) and rarely occurs 2) They have good roads, I didn't notice any potholes since my stay there. 3) They have quality education, the structure of their universities is lovely, even the students area make sense, like Europe settings. Kai, I just remember unn..chai. Most importantly nothing like ASUU strike. 4) There were no taxis , only buses and they have brt lanes organized movement. 5) No street trading on the roads 6) No wet or open market, only malls 7) There are traffic lights everywhere,( they call it robot here) and everyone obeys it because camera is watching)
They have a functional credit facility system, their citizens are entitled to buy goods on loan so far you have I'd number 9) they have what they call RDP houses for their citizens, HOUSE for FREE! 10) Even the roads in their villages are tarred , everywhere 11) Nothing like roadside mechanics, everybody takes his cars to the manufacturer workshop every 10,000km, it's a must. 12) I can count the number of times I saw police, nothing like checkpoint on the whole road, I mean crossing different towns, I couldn't believe it. I remembered pH to Owerri where they are over 150 checkpoints. 13) Their policemen don't carry ak rifles, just pistol and radio 14) Their government healthcare is absolutely free
Additional observations ° It's common to see diesel cars here, petrol is expensive here °The weather is just cool, I love this, not too extreme and harsh °I didn't see any '05 corolla or Camry muscle or spider, I didn't see even lexus es350 that's reigning in Nigeria, just fords, Benz,BMW,Kia, and they mostly drive small cars even the whites too. No much fast life. °People smoke cigarettes on the streets more, white women especially , maybe due to the weather ° Interesting observation....with slight exaggerations here and there. Anyway,I think South Africa should be enjoyed for what it is.It should not be compared to Nigerian in any shape or form because the two countries are not even in the same galaxy if we talking development. |

Saddamochieng00: It's really getting out of hand. You don't even know who to listen to nowadays cause they all sellouts. It's been out of hand the past 10 years. It's very unfortunate that artists are letting evil record executives use them to spread some agenda. This one of the reason I consume the current mainstream music in tiny tiny dosage. |
