Catlanta: Dear Valued Customer,

No More Additional Charges!

Good news! We have made some changes to our website that we would like you to know about. Starting from the 1st of April, you will no longer be notified of additional charges for US taxes or for shipping your items to our facility within the US. We have adjusted our cost calculation algorithm to factor in these charges effectively.

We have also reduced the prices of shipping items such as phones, tablets, fashion items and more. More price adjustments are in the works.

We have also added free shipping to some sites and (zero) 0% service charge to others. We are adding more sites with these privileges soon. Please check on our home page for a list of applicable sites.

However, we reserve the right to reject some orders where the local shipping costs are abnormal. We may also reject orders or apply additional charges where indicating the weight of the item is applicable and such declarations or system estimates are below the fact.

We believe these changes will improve the value of your shopping experience.

We wish you a wonderful shopping experience this April.

Yours sincerely,

Anaele Diala Iroh, PhD

suit yourself dude and go get a brain please cause I can tell you think with your butt!

Hey no need to get angry yet! We are just having a conversation. If your faith cant handle the scrutny then that should tell you something.

My question is, if god is omnipotent and omnipresent then he should know that evil will turn back to bit him in the as$, so why create it in the first place? The same aply to free will, why give someone free will but then go on to create hell where you intend to punish that person for using the free will. Does it make sense to you, if you are inteligent you should be able to question your belief.

Don't fooled, god does not make sense. Food for thought: if god is willing to stop evil but not able then he is not omnipotent, if he is able but not willing then he is malevolent, if he is niether willing nor able then why call him god.?

Da-unashamed:

but like the auto-engineers would take a perfectly made car out for test to see if it meets their expectations, so did He(GOD) take them out to the garden for a test to see if the evil in them would override the good. You should the story I believe so you know what I mean. He gave them the power to choose between good and evil, wisdom and foolishness, obedience and disobedience like He has also given you and me, now its left for you to make your choice, not ignorant of the consequence of the choice you are taking. Wise up guys.

Your analogy is silly! So god created evil, then created man, why did God create evil and then punish man for doing evil? If God is omnipotent, omniscience and benevolent as the bible claims then why did god creat garden of eden and place a particular tree there just to test adam and eve whom he just created, knowing that they are like children who doesn't even know they were naked. What kind of sick joke is that ? I mean would you leave a six months old baby with a sharp object like razor or knife even after telling the baby not to touch it. Use your common senses, start thinking for yourselves and not just repeat what you heard from your pastors.

dahonestboss: @herakari

1. since Biblical morality, and the assertion that a God is responsbile for defining and dictating actions as moral by many Christians is a point of contention and is frequently used in arguments on the matter. This issue is compounded by the fact that the morality as defined by the Old Testament is different than the morality defined by the New Testament which is different than the morality exercised by most people today (in general, people today believe the Bible is immoral, including many Christians on many points such as slavery, the killing of homosexuals, and so forth).

As an atheist, if you are to be consistent, then as I see it, two scenarios follow depending on what you believe. If you are a moral relativist (you do not judge other cultures, such as the Iranians, because their moral code is different than your own), then you must necessarily also not use the morality argument as a reason to be an atheist – simply because the morality of Scripture was practiced by a now extinct culture does not mean it alone can be judged. If you believe in universal morality, then the answer to another question becomes central to your belief system: who or what determines which actions are moral and which are not? This is my dilemma. I do believe in absolute morals, but I cannot reconcile the fact that I do not trust any human being, no matter how smart they are, including myself, to prescribe to me what is moral and what is not. Sure, I go by my gut, and I consider myself a pretty moral person, but I am also not so arrogant to believe that I uniquely know what is moral and what is not especially since I will readily acknowledge that the older I get the more moral I become – actions I would have considered moral 10 years ago I consider immoral today, so how am I sure that I will not also think that actions I take today as moral will not be immoral to me 10 years from now?

I have seen a few atheist writings about this topic that attempt to create some logical formula for judging an action, such as this one from ebonmusing: “Always minimize both actual and potential suffering; always maximize both actual and potential happiness.“

I am not convinced. Although his essay is thorough and attempts to explain how and why morality can be universal and where it comes from, I don’t buy most of it, nor do I even think his rule is valid. I have several simple examples which defeat it, and I’ll post them in a comment if you can’t come up with them on your own (they are trivial).

This example shouldn’t distract you from the fact that question above still isn’t sufficiently answered. Think on it. I think you’ll be hard pressed.

2.What I mean is this: how much do you actually know about the science most atheists parrot? Most atheists know as little science as most Christians know as little theology. Just as a Christian trusts his priest to tell him what he believes, an atheist trusts scientists with a Ph.D. tacked to their name to tell them what they believe. But how many times have the scientists turned out to be wrong? I only ask this because it seems this is central to the problem that most atheists have. They are repulsed by the phrase “believe” – they are addicted instead to the phrase “know”. But honestly, do you really know, or are you just believing what you’re told? I would like to remind you that in the 1970′s the scientists of the day were seriously concerned that we were about to enter an ice age, and less than 30 years later they are now convinced Earth is about to turn into a desert.

Unless you’ve observed something yourself, or observed and interpreted the evidence yourself and drew your own conclusions, you are just as guilty as faith as any religious person. I will demonstrate this fact by asking you, the atheist, the following questions.

These are all questions that would typically appear on a 100 level biological anthropology couse taught in universities around the world. They relate to your favorite topic: evolution. I will post the answers (and the reasons why you should believe me) at the bottom of the post:

Name the major extinct hominid species from which human beings are presently believed to have evolved.
How long ago did the modern human (Homo Sapiens Sapiens) come into existence?
How long ago did early hominids leave Africa?
How long ago did hominids split from the other primates?
Which biological feature is believed to be the most important in the evolution of man, and why?
Name one phyisical trait or behavior that is unique to the genus Homo.
Who were the neanderthals? Where did they live, when did they live, and why are they gone?
A major event occurred approximately 70,000 years ago very relevant to the evolution of humanity. What was the event, and why is it significant?
If you can’t answer these questions, I think my point is illustrated. And please don’t dwell on the fact that even if you don’t know the answers, the answers exist. Because if you could answer these questions you would know enough to know how little we actually know about these topics.

3. so what are your proof to your common sense ? since you dont believe in science, did the world just came up by itself ? for example, if you are walking by the road and you saw a pen, did it just appeared ther by itself ? did the sun and the moon just came up ? without any supremembeing behind it to make it happpen? your eyes processes millions of colours in less than a milli seconds, your DNA process over billions of codes, how would you classified these or make me believe that there are no God to mke all these things works out? your common sense is the cause of your believe, its deceiving you bro, step up

4. you are very wrong, very very wrong. you common sense as you,ve always claim has made you blind to see. i should be given you proof of these, but it would soon be classified as scam by you, so whats the need ? unless you wont

5. if you said that i culled it from somewhere, can you tell me what is wrong with that? you should answer them regardless of where it came from.
This belief is fundamental to the atheist position. You must answer yes to this question or you have a very hard time denying most, if not all, religious beliefs. However, you should also see how absurd this statement is. The fact that it is always impossible to prove that something does not exist does not change the fact that it cannot be known that something doesn’t exist. So mustn’t you be agnostic? I’ve heard responses to this one too, but they have so far been illegitimate and unsatisfying.

6.i said ''what does the atheism position offer you? NOT what does the atheist religion offer you ? get it right. and why on earth would you believe that ''because finland, etc is not a christian country, thats why their standard of living is so high'' ? I live in Finland, and if you say that they dont practice religion here, then you are a big liar and makes me doubt any of your next post.
there are many world developed countries out there that practice christianity and are still developed. it should not be a basis of your argument.

7. your common sense is deceiving you. pls deal with fact and not what you are mde to believe by your common sense

8. I have heard very few atheists intelligently debate this issue without bringing up the Bible. Let’s assume that it is totally allegorical and Christians didn’t literally believe in Jesus and believed only that the Bible books were stories told by God to illustrate his word. Would this change how you viewed the belief in God? If not, why not?

9. now you are passing through the corner

10. I saved the best for last. I want you to think long and hard about this. We have as little or less evidence that E.T. landed in Roswell than any evidence we have for the truth in any part of the Bible and yet almost every single atheist I meet believes that we are not alone in the universe despite there being no evidence whatsoever. They hand-wave me to death with stories like, “even if only one in a trillion stars had planets and only one in a trillion planets had life and only one in a trillion planets with life hosted intelligent life there would still be eleventy-gazillion earths in the universe”, or they make up fairy tales about Area 51.

If you are an atheist, I am going to require that you also do not believe in E.T. And if you acknowledge that E.T. has not been observed but is likely to exist, I demand that you also acknowledge that God has not been observed but is likely to exist.

have you think the bible is written by ordinary men? many of the things that were in the bible are all coming to pass, the bible is so complete and its the best and widely read book in the world. pls correct your common sense, it goes beyond that.

WAITING

Please I want the ten minutes I spent strugling to read this post back. Pathetic!

My friend you need to meet him because he truly exists and he is yearning to meet you. True. You cant meet him when you are outside saying there is no God. "For those who come to him must beleive that he is and he is the rewarder of those who deligently seek him" you must first beleive he exists before he show his face

Like I said, I don't want to meet him. I have no use for him and considering all the atrocities he committed according to the bible he should be on trial. I can not worship that god even if he really exist.

I m not suffering from any Schizophrenia, I have experienced God personally, I have received protection from God, I have received divine healing from God and i have personal fellowship with him. Its not an experience you will want to miss if you know of it.

Ok then, but still check with a doctor (Psychiatrist). You never can tell.

You too can experience him. Just in the privacy of your room kneel down and talk to him.Tell him you have being led astray all your life and that you are coming home now. Tell him to forgive you and take over your life, mean it from your heart and you will be surprised at the your experience.

Done that many years ago, no result. Now though, I don't need him or his forgiveness, I am doing just fine on my own. But if he is looking for something to do he should the hospitals, there are people suffering and dying there everyday.

Dude,

Get a hold of yourself. The OP clearly has the opinion that ALL Atheists are the way they are due to scientific assumptions. What he doesn't realize is that a lot of non-religious folks have little or no idea about scientific prepositions rather they have come to a point where they've realized the stupidity of religion and dumped it. Some weren't even born into religious households (e.g in European countries).

Thank you my brother. The above statement completely describe me. I never claim to be a scientist or even have any knowledge on science, I have actually tried to familiarize myself with evolution on sites like Wikipedia and Talkorigin.com but had to stop reading when I could no longer pretend I understand words like Genetic drift, phenotypic traits and Allele frequency. Simply put, you don't need science to be an Atheist, you need COMMON SENSE.

Please im fairly new here, but im seeing a strange thing. I find it difficult to beleive that there are men who beleive in their hearts that there is no God, incredible. When i get directions from God every morning ? when i speak to God and get answers? when i cannot take decisions without consulting him? Common guys you are missing.

You should see a psychiatrist, you may be suffering from Schizophrenia.

"The fool says in his heart there is no God". Dont be a fool. What happens when you die and discover that God truly exists and that hell fire is real and that you will be condemned to hell for all eternity. What happen !!! All of you atheists are taking a very dangerous chance. Your fellow atheists that have passed on to hell cannot come to tell the story.

Oh please! grin

If you are waiting to perform an experiment and confirm that there is God, you will never confirm it, because you will not find him.But if you genuinely seek him because you want to know him, he will show himself. Please please please dont be a FOOL.

Of course, I will not find him cause he does not exist. Also if the god you are talking about is the god of the bible, then I dont want to meet him.

You are really a very $tupid person judging from your post. Oh! I should read the bible, the infallible book of fables. Have you read the bible ? If you have then I want to challenge your knowledge of it. well said. Give an atheist all the proof he needs, he will still not believe becos he is consciously living in denial and has unconsciously believe in the folly of his scientific existence.

Actually, I want to believe and sometimes wish there really is a cosmic big brother up there who will answer all our prayers and make all our troubles go away. Who wouldn't want that ? If you've ever been to a hospital and see small children die or abandoned by their parents because they can no longer afford the treatments, then you should wonder like me where is god or the so-called men of god. I want to believe that there is god to take care of these kids (knowing that their parents prayed) to heal their sicknesses, but I can't because that god is no where to be found, nobody answers our prayers and I refuse to pretend otherwise like many Christians.

God is just a fantasy.

What you are calling a contradictions may just be a limitation of your imagination and what you call absurdities may be linked to your personal analytic abilities. If you state these examples clearly i may be able to help you..just if i can. I rate you guys high in discussion and expect you should know that "claims posited without proofs will just as easily be de-posited without proofs" and that leaves us both in our darkness.]

"Unsubstantiated claim" I am really baffled that someone as intelligent as you aperently are have not discovered the inconsistencies, contrdictions, absurdities and ancronisims in the bible. I would have loved to give you many examples but I replying this from my phone so I will rather direct you to where you can find all the examples you need. These are scepticsanotatedbible.com, whywontgodhealamputees.com for starters (I will post more when I get to a computer) I challange you to actually go through these sites before you come back to comment again.

I mentioned common sense, but I can now deduce that this is an alien phrase to appologetics like you. Why is common sense not enugh to stay away from god and religion. Everything we know today about the christian god is based entirely on the bible, that's why the bible claimed inerreancy as the infallible word of god. But extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof, the bible is like tetimonies, thus the integrity of the source of the testimonial is of utmost importance because that's what makes us trust what it is telling us. We all know that the bible makes extraordinary claims, like talking donkies and snakes, raising the dead, fire falling from heaving, parting the sea and walking on water to name but a few, so we should demand that the incredible stories demand impeccable integrity on behalf of the storyteller to be believed.

However if the bible is discovered to be errant and the work of men not god as originally claimed then it shatters all the belief and trust we had on its contents. Remember there is no middle ground, no gray area. Either the bible is inspired by God or it is not. "partially inspired" won't cut it. The uninitiated would naturally and common sensically expect these "inspired" books to be different, accurate, informative and awe-inspiring. Surely a work written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit would be clearly distinct from the works of mere mortals. However absurdities like god telling people that if there son does not respect them, they should call the villagers to stone their son to death and god actually claiming he created evil and much more is just to much for me.

[For example you are yet to show/tell me what information you have based on your science research that i am not aware of,]

See above examples. If the bible which told us everything we know about the christian god is proven to be errant then it simply means that all the fantastic and extraordinary stories and everything it says about god are mere mythology.

[nonetheless even with my awareness of those information i still share a conclusion not identical to yours]

This is why I said that you are suffering from Cognitive dissonace. Please this is not an insult, google it.

[So yes i admit you have done a more diligent and inteligent research, but no i didn't say i agree with the conclusions your affirm]

You are free to chose what you believe, likewsie me. I was born a christian but after some research came to the conclusion that there can't be any god. Thus it was very hard for me suspend my disbelief.

["The bible is filled with tales of the impossible and supernatural..." by Kay17 This is a claim without proof. Highlight one of those tales and let us talk about it.]

Are you serious? The bible is full of them, consider the few I mentioned above.
